[Just like everyone else who has come here, Saber -- Siegfried -- arrives in the Bay. After waking up, getting out of the box, and going through what he's been given, he emerges into the sunlight. He trips the hologram, listens to what it has to say, and looks at some of the pamphlets put out by it. Time to see what's going on here.

The people in Genessia will see the newcomer walking around. He's a very tall man with long, unkempt, platinum blond hair, and a very long sword, almost as long as he is tall, strapped to his back in a sheath. He also has much of his chest exposed, and there appears to be a glowing sigil of some kind there. Other than that, and some strategically-placed plate armor, his outfit is mostly black.

Even for newcomers, he stands out like a sore thumb.]

Please excuse me. I just arrived here, and I find myself at a loss as to what is going on, other than the basics of my situation. I know nothing of current events, politics, or anything of that sort. Would anyone be able to update me on what has been happening?

[Siegfried doesn't reply immediately. Instead, he has to mull over his response. Would it be all right for him to reveal his true name here? On one hand, the recording said that this world was mostly peaceful, and if there were other Servants here, they might have done the same. But on the other hand, very few other Servants have a weak point so glaring as his. It all comes down to his confidence in his skill, and he eventually comes to a decision.]

Welcome, Siegfried. I am Daenerys Targaryen and you will learn much through travel. The cities are vastly different from one another, so I suggest you choose one that most resembles your world.

Hello! For politics, there was an election last month for Guardians of each city. Each city also has a mayor. Guardians are in charage of making and enforcing laws that will protect people within the city, whereas the mayor handles other kinds of regulations and manages the taxes. Each Guardian hires Deputies to help them protect the people within their respective city.

[He waves a little bit.]

Not much to really worry about there, as long as you don't do criminal stuff you won't get in trouble. Mostly, it's been cold.

[That's what's been happening, welcome newcomer.]

Yes, I suppose the best way to familiarize myself would be to witness things firsthand. Judging by the city descriptions I read, Fayren sounds the most like a familiar setting for me.

[Though he would also fit in Genessia just fine.]

All the same, I would appreciate other people's opinions.

The cities have an office such as that?

[Siegfried is mildly surprised. That doesn't sound like what he'd heard at the exit to the Bay.]

I was under the impression that this realm was rather peaceful. Is that not correct?

That is so no matter where you go. (She nods at his choice.) Fayren is where I reside and I can verify that it is an...interesting...place.

Be prepared for magical creatures and those who practice the craft.

Nothing really has happened as of late. Someone already mentioned the politics, though the only exception to the Mayor thing is in Fayren, but... no one really knows what happened to the royal family or where they are.

I like to hope that they will be found soon.

Cold...yes, I was wondering about the weather. I take it that we are in the midst of winter here.

[Not that it was a change of pace for him, considering Chaldea's headquarters is in Antarctica of all places. Just an interesting note.]

And rest assured, I have no intent to commit any sort of crimes here.

It's peaceful the majority of the time, but people from all different walks of life get brought here. Occasionally, someone who decides it's their right to stir up trouble shows up and they're more than what the police can deal with. So the Guardians and their Deputies deal with it instead.

[She offers a reassuring smile.]

Most people are helpful or at least just peacefully living their lives, though.

"The craft?" Do you mean magecraft?

[If anything, that would make things more familiar for him.]

[As a former king himself, Siegfried takes an immediate interest. In fact, the calm expression he usually wears is replaced by one of concern.]

Perhaps I ought to seek one of these Guardians out. I might be able to offer some aid.

There is nothing. It's rather boring here.

[At least from what he could tell anyway and deep down he wanted to figure out how to make things more fun, to say the least. Just no bright ideas were coming to the front of his mind.]

I'm a Deputy for Genessia City and I know Guardian Satou was keeping track of people willing to be called on to help with emergencies before.

Good, then you shouldn't have any problems here. People just get touchy if you do that kind of thing.

There are far worse fates than being bored. I will not mind that.

The printing company is slow and hasn't updated stuff in a while. I should probably cut their funding so they'll get off their asses.

But yeah, I'm in charge here. I just sorta conquered everything fairly recently.

I am only familiar with it by proxy, myself. I was always more of a warrior than a sorcerer, though I have known some of varying talents and temperaments.

[Including two Masters who summoned him.]

Magecraft can be very useful. However, it is also easy to abuse should the practitioner trend that way.

Really? Then this is fortuitous. I would be interested in providing my services. If need be, I can also demonstrate my abilities if provided somewhere to do so.

I have only known magic to be brutal and cruel. I want nothing to do with it or those that wield it.
