[Allen was sitting on the floor fussing over a puppy that had been at his heels a few moments ago. He seemed happy enough as he fussed the cute little fluffy white puppy behind the ears.]

You are a good boy, aren't you? You don't seem to be at all scared of me. It's nice.

[He couldn't help but chuckle slightly as he seemed to be looking over the dog. It seemed that they were either a stray or just got very lost, so he figured he should really ask around, and the network.]

Ah, I came across this puppy that doesn't seem older than a year old. There is no collar, but they seem awfully healthy for a stray, so I figured I would ask if anyone recognized the dog and knew the owner?

[This wasn't even part of his current job. He was meant to be on patrol but he figured he could take the time to at least find the dog it's home.]

Thank you for listening. I should really look around too, so I will get on that. Ah, also I quit my job as an officer a short while ago for another job, but I am hoping to work with the Police Department in my new posistion.

[With that he switched off the feed and started to head off, making sure the dog was close by. He could at least do a patrol and take a trip to a vet to see if there were ways to get the dog back home. So long as he didn't come across trouble first.]

I put it down to them being a friendly dog.

[He did like the fact that the dog liked him though.]

Which means his owners raised him well at least.

I haven't seen anyone looking for a puppy... But they seem pretty attached to you already.

Do you need some dog kibble for him? I can give you a bowlful from Snowball's.

[She feeds the direwolf pup meat sometimes, too, but she decided it was good to get him accustomed to eating the kibble.]

I should really feed him while trying to find their owner.

[Something that really should have been the first thing on his mind, but he had really forgone reminding himself to eat in order to get the job one first.]

But how do you know what this dog might eat? Take a guess?

Odds are likely I will need to ask for advice anyway as I know this is very different than police work and back home.

But I wouldn't know what exactly to ask. But I will keep that in mind.

I assume it's because they are scared and since I was the first one to show I am not going to hurt them they warmed up to me.

Dogs are carnivores, primarily. Kibble is made of a mix of protein like meat along with grain products. Snowball's kibble is for puppies up to one year old, so it should be fine for that puppy to eat.

Do you think this dog is a puppy? I admit, don't know a lot about dogs? Is there a way to know for certain.

[Though in a moment he realized he is meant to be working.]

Ah, though I should be doing my job... Instead, I've ended up dog sitting.

Well, you said yourself that the dog doesn't seem any older than a year...

I was taking a wild guess based on size.

[But that is what a puppy would be, small, right? He had no idea what kind of dog it was. Just that it was white and fluffy.]

But uh... I am probably right. Best take him to the vet to actually be sure... [Things he has never done before.]
