[Sabo has been here before. He remembers the strange, somewhat rude awakening, and as soon as he rubs the sleep from his eyes, he moves to stand and stretch, sighing. Why is he here again? There has to be a good reason for this; at least, he truly hopes so, considering the moment he was swept from his own world. The Reverie was about to begin, after all, and he had a purpose there.

Hopefully the rest of the Revolutionary Army will be okay without him.

He fumbles with the device he'd found upon waking, trying to recall exactly how it worked from before. It's not like a Snail, it's a bit more complicated than that, so he finds himself hitting certain buttons without realizing before actually starting a recording. Then, and only then, does he smile and wave into the camera:]

Hello! I'm pretty sure I've been here before, but I know that a lot of you probably won't remember me. So, I'll introduce myself briefly once again. My name is Sabo. I'm going to need work and a place to live... sooner rather than later, obviously.

I have skills in various different fields, but I'd most likely fit well in an office or management setting. Let me know if you have an opening, please.

But I don't do anything that is office related. Just work in a coffee shop.

[Sabo's expression turns to one of complete apathy, since the vaguely remembers arguing with the other man the last time he was here. And he doesn't feel like doing that again.]

I remember enough.

Taxes? That's primarily math and numbers? I'm more about writing and dealing with words, but sure --

I could handle that, too. Why? Do you have a position open?

[The -- the yelling! Sabo's eyes scrunch shut and he takes a few deep breaths before finally answering.]

Do you always do that? The yelling, I mean? Because I don't know if I could work for you if that's the case.

Definitely. This place is very unique, so I remembered being here almost instantly.

A coffee shop? Where is it? [He could use coffee, even though he's -- well, he's lacking in funds. He just wants to know where it is for later.]

[There is a wait between Sabo's video and Ace's response, because this is surreal to him, even if he expected it. Somehow, he looks nothing and everything like Ace had expected all at once. And his mental image not quite matching up throws him off too.

But finally, Ace sends a video and waves, because the best thing to do is to just throw himself into this.] Hey, you made it back! They said you were here before!

[Grunts.]

I can't make heads or tails of this place. Portgas remembers nothing.

But he's back. However long it lasts.

[Ace is here again, too? That's a wonderful surprise and Sabo immediately starts grinning widely into the camera. He looks like an idiot right now, but he doesn't even care.]

You're back, too!

You left before I did, and I --

[His eyes fall below the camera for a moment.]

I barely saw you. I had so much to say and it didn't happen, but you and I are here again! We should meet up!

He --

He is?

[He left before Sabo had, and they'd barely spoken to each other at all. Sabo knows he missed out on saying so much, and he's not sure he's ready to go through that again -- starting to confess how he'd forgotten everything, only to have Ace vanish before he'd finish.]

I hope he sticks around longer than last time.

Absolutely.

[Taps a finger to her chin.] Buuuut if you're better with writing... [SQUINTS.] How are you at advertising?

[Both hands up.] You don't have to lie. Just get the word out and phrasing it well, you know? I'm terrible at it. Makes me miss my Dad something awful. He's good at it.

[Snorts and lights up cigars.] He already has. It's been about a week.

Try not to--

[Pauses. Eye roll.]

[Anything he says will make it worse.]

[So he pulls a page straight out of Kuzan's book:] Mah... well... [Waves a hand vaguely.] Never mind.

[Smoker tries to think of adequate lies to substitute for "Fall into his pace" or "drag him into old reckless lawbreaking habits" -- besides, for all he knows, Revolution aside, Sabo's not any worse than the Whitebeards really.]

["Break any laws" "Get into trouble" -- either of those was definitely asking them to do JUST THAT.]

[SO....]

[Smoker does what Smoker does.]

[Ignores it and deflects with a new question:]

Why an office job?

You didn't answer my question. When you do that, I'll answer yours.

[Use the volume control on your phone, Sabo. It's the only way.]

ANYWAY, YOU WOULDN'T BE WORKING FOR ME, BUT WITH ME!! TECHNICALLY YOU'D BE WORKING FOR TORCHWOOD'S BOSS.

[God so much more annoying than Straw Hat and Fire Fist.]

[He could hang up, but that always feels like losing.]

It's really not relevant.

[They can look like idiots at each other, because the minute that Sabo warms up Ace can't hold back a dopey smile. Sabo really is back, and he remembers this place it seems.] Yeah, well, I don't remember anything from being here before, sorry. So it's like we're starting over. I wanna meet up though! I wanna see you again, it's been so long.

[Sabo is just so happy right now and nothing can bring that down.

Where do you want to meet up? I don't really remember too much about the layout of this place, but you've been here for -- a week, I've heard? So you can pick somewhere and tell me where to go. I'll come running!

Honestly, I'm really hungry right now so I wouldn't mind grabbing something to eat.

[Only sometimes. You've just caused his snarky side to come out, Smoker.]

Yeah, do you care what we eat? There's a few place we could go. [He's still pretty new, so it's not like he knows everywhere, but there are options.] I mean, I don't care at all where we eat. I just wanna see you. If you want, I can come by where you are and we'll just figure it out from there!

I don't care! I'm starving!

[He would usually pick ramen since he's predictable like that, but right now he just wants to share a meal with his brother and talk about a lot of things.

He quickly glances behind his shoulder and gestures toward the water.]
