So. It has come to my attention that a colleague of mine and an acquaintance of hers don't know where the good spots for pizza are here. Well, as resident pizza expert extrordinaire, I'd be more than happy to share my knowledge. Anyone with questions can leave 'em here.

Also - what was his name? [Dante glances off screen for a second.] Billy? Billy. You are going to be joining Lady and myself at the best place for pizza in all of Genessia, a carefully guarded secret of the trade.

Be at my shop by 6:00 pm.

[Lady comes out of the back of the room to catch the end of his little broadcast over the phones and smirks. The fact that she's the one that supplies the kid's name should be obvious.]

It's about time that you finally got off your butt to do this. I'd thought you'd forgotten. Are you going to try and bring Vergil around as well?

Better make sure Billy doesn't lose your number.

[A pause.]

Lady's back and you didn't bother to tell me? I thought we were friends.

Oh, hey.

I'm Billy...

Where's your shop, mister?

Okay, since you're talking about the important stuff... [There are other foods that Ace would go for first, but damn it's pizza. And he's not turning down information on where to find quality versions of a great food.] I like lots of toppings, really flavorful pizza. And lots of it. Where can I find a place that can provide the goods?

Look, I can't just burn all the paperwork I've got, as much as I'd love to. As for Vergil... you really think he'd even touch pizza? I don't think the nerd would know a good meal if it bit him on the ass.

Don't worry, he's not gonna get lost if I have anything to say about it.

[Just have a deadpan look.]

How'd you miss her announcing she was back?

Hi Billy, I'm Lady's partner in crime, and current Attleton Guardian so this is on me. Just... call me Dante. Titles weird me out.

[He taps at his device a bit, sending directions to his shop.]

Come on in and don't let the decor scare ya off. The heads are all dead, I guarantee it.

[Dante just taps at the screen a bit, pulling up and sending off a list of diners he frequents.]

You'll find the best pizza Attleton has to offer there. Oh, and on the third entry, do yourself a favor and try the strawberry sundaes. They're too good.

[This is good and important information. Ace appreciates it.] Nice. Thanks, man. I'm gonna have to go for it. And I've gotta try the sundaes too.

Ohhhkaaay....

[That doesn't sound good. Or maybe it was a joke? He's going to assume a Guardian isn't a bad guy. For now.]

[And he will be loitering around the outside of the shop by 5.30, looking around.]

[Gale glanced up, gesturing like he was counting on his fingers.]

Let's see... I run three clubs in three separate cities, I oversee an entire city, I'm on the path to becoming a proper diva aaaaaand I manage an overall probably kinda worthless unit.

And amist all of that I get like three hours of sleep probably.

So I think missing a single thing on the network is probably expected for me.

[At about 5:35, Dante gets a feeling someone's around. He opens the door, looks around and spots Billy.]

...The hell are you doing? I'm not going to bite. It'll be a bit before Lady gets here so at least come in and take a load off.

I'm always happy to help a fellow connoisseur of the fine arts of pizza and sundaes. Speaking of sundaes, never trust a dive bar without strawberry sundaes. They're either run by demons, or idiots with no sense of taste. Either way, steer clear of 'em.

[He nods.]

OK.

[And cautiously looks around as he enters.]

So you have pizza?

[The important question.]

[Dante motions to the delivery box on the table near a couch off to the side.]

Got a couple pieces left but it's a day old. I guess you can have it if you want, but I'm taking you and Lady out to the actual restaurant for the fresh stuff.

[Dante flops into the chair at his desk, propping his feet on said desk and and gives a curious look at Billy.]

...You're not just a normal kid are ya? Don't feel like you have to tell me if you don't want to, but I can sense... something. Not sure what though.

OK, cool. I can wait.

[He blinks at the last part.]

What? What do you mean?

[He shrugs.]

Not sure how to put it. Something about how you smell. Like, full disclosure, I'm not fully human myself. I'm actually half-demon. Has some benefits and drawbacks. Heightened senses is one of those. Not sure which though.

..... You're not going to eat me, are you?

[Just have A Look (tm).]

Hell no. I'm still half human y'know. That's why I eat pizza. ...also I probably should've led with the fact that I'm the top demon hunter in my world. I kind of made a career of fighting demons, not being like 'em.

So you're a demon... sorry, half-demon... who hunts other demons?

Doesn't that make your demon side feel guilty?

It sort of runs in the family. My old man - the demon parent - betrayed his master, slaughtered said master's army, and helped thwart a demonic invasion of the human world.

I like to think I took after my mom more anyway. [Shrug.]

Wow, that's... something.

So what do you think I am?

[He's human but he supposes being touched with the magical power to turn into a superhero leaves some traces. Plus he's fought some demonic forces that were the embodiment of the seven deadly sins. Maybe that also leaves its mark.]

[He shrugs a bit.]

Not sure. My best guess is that you're just a kid that stumbled into something not many stumble into. Again, I'm not trying to pry. Just making small talk is all.

Small talk about demon battles.

[But he offers a small smile to be friendly.]

[This is new information to Ace, the whole idiots with no sense of taste thing is pretty subjective, even he knows that. But demons run bars without sundaes?] Wait, really? How many of these places have you been to that have demons refusing strawberry sundaes on the menu?

I didn't say burn it, but you could have accepted my help with it long before now.

[At the comments about his brother, Lady just smiles and shakes her head.]

He really doesn't look like the pizza type, no. He's always struck me as a steak and a glass of wine kind of guy. Which means there's more for us.

[Lady slips into Devil May Cry and listens to Dante and Billy talking. It's a very Dante-esque conversation. Which she's not sure is good or bad yet. Not even after all the years she's known him.]

Demon battles are pretty par for the course where we're from. Especially if you're Dante.

[She walks into the room and puts a hand on Billy's shoulder.]

Hey, kid. Nice to see you could make it.

[He turns the smile to her.]

Hey. Yeah. Made it.

[He looks as if he feels a bit out of place though.]

What can I say, they can't keep their hands off me. The shows I put on are quite the draw.

[He smirks, swinging his feet off his desk and picking up a nearby guitar case.]

Y'all ready to have the best pizza in Genessia?

Yeah, but I know how you work. I can't afford your rates.

[He kids. ...Mostly.]

If it doesn't have some fancy ass French name, he won't even look at it. He's always tried to be refined like a true tryhard.

Strawberries have long been thought of as a demon repellent. ....It doesn't work like that, but demons get annoyed that it was a stereotype for so long. So yeah, in my line of work, surprisingly often. I walk into a bar and get funny looks, all I gotta do is order a strawberry sundae to let 'em know I'm onto them.

So it's posturing, kinda? You eat one of those in front of a demon, and they know they can't hide from you. Kinda like ordering garlic in front of a vampire... [Color him impressed.] That's kinda badass for a dessert.
