[She was urged to try out her comm device, so here she is, trying it out. Her wrist communicator doesn't seem to be working at all, so she's still unnerved by this place and the sudden wave of new things she's forced to deal with. But there she is on the viewscreen, and the display says it's recording, so she gives her head a little shake and tells herself to quit staring.]
Oh, hey, uh... I'm Kimberly. Heeeyyyy.
[Her hand waves as she offers a nervous smile.]
So...is this place for real, or are like...people going to start jumping out and telling me I'm on Candid Camera? Because I'm doing my best not to totally freak out right now. I haven't so...so far so good, right?
[Her shoulders shrug. Talking to a screen kind of helps.]
I'm gonna take a look around and check out this apartment I guess I totally have all to myself. Do they come with furniture, or do I have to buy my own? Guess I'd better get some more clothes too. Anyone up for a shopping trip...?
[She tilts her head, raising her eyebrows hopefully.]

[Action - Riverplace Square]
[After going to the store to get the essentials...clothes, a hairbrush, make-up, some super cute roller blades that came in pink and absolutely no groceries yet...she sets her bags down and digs into her shorts pocket to draw out the key with her room number on it. Room 303.]
Okay...let's see what kind of apartment the ghosty kidnappers decided to give me...
[She inserts the key and turns it, hearing a click, then she takes hold of the knob to turn it and give the door a push. The door swings open, and there's a smell of fresh paint and newly cleaned carpet. Apparently this unit didn't come pre-furnished, so if she doesn't spend everything on clothes, she can probably pick out some cute stuff to customize it later. She picks up her bags and steps inside, the door still open. She takes off her sneakers at the door, checking out the breakfast bar. The kitchen comes with a fridge and microwave, so that's good. The bedroom has lots of closet space, so that's a plus. Bathroom is all right...kinda cramped, but it's well lit.]
[She leaves her bags on the floor near the kitchen wall, and opens up the sliding door that leads out to the patio. From the third floor, she's got a pretty good view of the city. It's weird, though. Angel Grove seems so far away. So are her friends, and her mom.]
Okay, just take a deep breath. Hold it together. It's not so bad, right?
[She takes a deep breath, holding the balcony. Then she exhales, and mutters to herself.]
...Well I'm talking to myself out loud, so it's not super great either.

[Not acting like he didn't do clothing as a whole business mind you.]
I might be able to help there.
If she doesn't freak out the new arrival first.]Ah...hello...Kim-ber-lee. [She slowly pronounces each syllable to make sure she's saying it right.] ...Is that how you say it? Um...this place is real enough. And by "freak out," you mean "panic," right? You're doing real good not to panic if you just got here. You're strong, aren't you? I still panic sometimes, even though I've been here for...at least two years...
video;
[She always wanted to be pranked on one, but never did. These days though she didn't care so much.]

[She looks hopeful, albeit a touch skeptical, since most guys she knows aren't really into the whole mall experience. Still, first time for everything, and she does need help. Besides, he seems like he's decent at dressing himself from what little she can see.]
Okay, sure! Why not? Are you looking to get anything for yourself too?
Video
[Hopefully a warmer intro than the hologram.]
The reality of Genessia is a thorny subject. Did you read what came with the rest of your possessions?
[The metaphysics of the world probably isn't a good subject to broach with a teen girl
squad, but the bit she received with the necklace told her all about the sprites.]Eheh, sorry, that wasn't a very good answer. If it's a production, it's not so earnest as all that. And yes, your calm is admirable. Pray keep it, for you're likely to meet some very strange and novel characters.
[He might offer to escort the young woman shopping, but figures she'd enjoy it more with those of her own age and sex.]

[Thanks to part to his mother, who was a fashion designer back home. Was part of the reason he took such an interest.]
As for anything for myself, who knows really. It's always possible. But I never go shopping knowing exactly what I want to buy.
Video
[At his question, she nods, her gaze roaming to the box in her arms for a moment.]
Yeah, but it's a lot to take in. Did I miss something?
[Entirely possible, she was too restless to give it more than a very cursory summary, and that only after Weiss's hologram made her feel guilty about skimming over information.]
Soooo...is everyone here from a different planet?
Re: Video
Ehehe, most would say so! I'm from Earth, personally, but if you ask you're likely to hear more motley origins. The novelty's enjoyable, not least because the world, for the most part, only selects the civilized, and we all share a common tongue. So long as you keep any specific allusions or, say, dead languages to a minimum, you can get along with most anyone.
You're doing all right, otherwise?
Video
Me too, ha! It's gonna be a total freak-out to meet people from other worlds, but people seem pretty friendly. So maybe I'll be a total high school diplomat.
I'm from California! How about you?
[As for whether she's doing all right...not really? But talking it over is helping, so she shrugs, holding her box and smiling.]
I'll get there, just need some time to breathe and get my bearings.
[It's not the first time she's teleported to another planet, but it's the first time she's done it alone, completely cut off from her friends and family.]
Re: Video
[Yes, he did enjoy Fargo, but don't expect any "don'tchaknows".]
It'll be something to look forward to. You'll acclimatize; just give it time. Is there aught else I can do for you?
Video
[Seems like he wants to be on his way, though. Kimberly might not have book smarts, but she knows social cues. She grins.]
Point me in the direction of a place that makes a killer salad, and I'll be out of your hair. Thanks for your help.
Re: Video
[He says almost in spite of himself. He'd never told anyone more than the country. To think back on the state roused nostalgia he thought he'd left behind.
His first instinct when people ask for eateries is the Bright Sky Diner. Then "salad" dashes that. In that case, a dot would ping on her device with the location of the world's cheapest grocery.]
Pan's Grocery has a good self-serve, and they're always easy on the wallet. Can't be too frugal, eh? And please, you're no trouble. Good afternoon, Kimberly. Let me know should you need more help.
Video
[Which is something she'll likely need to look into while she's here, otherwise her mom (and probably Billy too) will have so many lectures.]
Thanks, Ted. I'll see you around, okay?
[Pink Ranger signing off! Now to go see about that salad.]
