[Kaoru was focused on something. Maybe it was the device that he was currently holding with his left hand. Maybe it was something else completely. Whatever it was he was deep in thought. At least until he finally speaks.]

So... My birthday was yesterday. I'm officially 17 here now. Makes me wonder if my brother was to ever arrive now would he now be younger than me? [It was important to question considering they were twins and he was, in fact, the young twin. But it wasn't the only thing on the young man's mind as in his right hand he soon picked up a pencil.]

But that isn't the point of this. I am looking for costume ideas for the host club. People who might be interested in being a host and models to show off my designs. For costume ideas, I was hoping people would tell me a bit about the clothing from your world... See if it inspires me.

[He twirls his pencil between his fingers as he continued to look down at the device.]

Clothing from my world, huh?

In a word? Zippers. Lots of zippers.

[Lea chuckles, but having been unable to resist that comment. But then he actually considers a moment.]

Anyway, in general the colors on clothes where I come from tend to be pretty saturated; you don't see a lot of pastels or things like faded jeans. Actual styles tend to vary from world to world, but just given what I've seen, things like coats and jackets seem to be pretty popular. Especially short-sleeved ones for some reason.

And all joking aside, there seriously are a lot of zippers on stuff. Sometimes even where it makes no sense for there to be zippers, like on hats.

Clothing from one's world?

[ Normally she's a bit of a hermit/homebody/workaholic, but out of curiousity the currently grease-covered teen looks over the network. Lo and behold, there's something interesting, and she tries thinking it over. ]

Well, I suppose the clothing that I wore was simple. A tunic, shirt, trousers, boots, belt, and cloak. I lived in a warmer area before, so not much more was needed. All of it was very plain, either brown or green, or consistently-repaired leather in the case of my boots. I think only the nobility and knighthood of my home wore anything more extravagant than that, save perhaps some members of the churches.

An important question here? Why so many zippers? Was it a fetish or something?

[It wasn't long before he himself was chuckling.]

But I think I get a basic understanding.

Yeah, I mean I am sure people would also maybe like clothing styles close to what they ae use to. So if anyone wanted clothes, I could easily do that.

[He watched he or a moment and slightly is wondering why the other was potentially covered in grease of all things.]

So basically you wold is close to those fantasy style places?

I... I suppose so? I am unsure of what you mean, but I see many in Fayren dressed similarly if that helps matters.

I admit. Have not been to Fayren much. I should look to go there to study the clothing.

Honestly? I have no idea. Maybe people just thought the metal bits looked cool or something; I know our Organization uniforms had a lot of metal details, even if the only zipper was where one belonged on the coat.

So zippers and metal seem to be a theme. But I feel like I could make something with that either way.

Might be fun to experiment.

You would see much of the same garb amongst many, I am afraid. Not many there would have access to anything fancier than a tunic and trousers.

I can say a lot of clothing here is... Fascinating, to say the least, though I am unsure I would wear most of it. Much of it seems impractical.

Then I will consider it a challenge to make something fancy.

What items of clothing seem impractical. I have heard of clothing with lots of zippers which I agree is as such though. Like why would you need so many zippers?

There's probably a lot of ways to go with it. Honestly, as long as they still look like clothes in the end, they'd probably work for me.

Cause I know some fashion things tend to get kinda... out there. To the point where it's less clothes and more 'modern art that can be put on a person'.

Oh yeah, but you never see those types of clothes actually being sold. Just for fashion shows.

In my family we at least make clothes that are nice looking and you can actually wear on a daily basis.

I'm glad. I mean that's what clothes are for; to be worn.

I mean if making the other kind is what floats someone's boat, more power to them, but I doubt I'm ever gonna 'get it'.

Yeah only fashion types really get it and I've grown up with it, so I am an expert.

Even models my mother's stuff a few times. She made really nice dresses. Comfortable.

Yeah comfortable clothes are definitely the way to go, at least for me. Though I've been told I look good in a tux too.
