[ One doesn’t just die and wake up. That isn’t how it works. This isn’t a zombie movie, or an exorcism. The darkness swallows you up and everything is just gone. That had been Noahs fear and then his reality. He knew why he did it. He didn’t regret it. It just was.

What actually happened left him feeling lost, confused and unsure about what he was supposed to be doing or where he should be going. He read the pamphlet once he could get his head working, wore the necklace, tucked away the cash, put the key safely in another pocket and held the phone for what felt like forever.

The moment he realized he had an actual body again, however, was the moment he realized something very odd had just happened and it wasn’t just some fuzzy dream. It fueled the human side of him that had faded so much before the darkness had taken over. ]

...Gansey.

[ That was it. Something happened when Gansey died for the second time. It had to have been the catalyst that started this.

Stopping he looked around and then looked at the phone, fiddling with the menus. ]

Please be here...please...please... Ronan, too...

[ Because this...was scary. Beautiful, but scary and for the first time ever he worried he would have an actual heart attack. THAT, would be a really crummy way to die. Again.]

[She could tell they were panicked anyway.]

[Gansey had checked and rechecked every resource available to see if his friends were in this strange place. Ronan Lynch. Adam Parrish. Blue Sargent. Nothing. He hadn't seen Noah's name, but he hadn't really expected his ghostly best friend to be on any contact list.

Then he hears his name, spoken in a voice that is familiar, but stronger than he's ever expected. Gansey stares at the image, heart feeling like it's stuttering to a stop. Noah's here. He's alive.]

Do you remember me?

[It's a stupid question, but they'd never met when Noah was alive. Even with Cabeswater distorting time from its expected linear properties, an alive Noah shouldn't know a teenage Gansey. Perhaps he might recognize the boy that he'd died to save, but not the version of Gansey that's gaping at him in shock.]

How?

[ Once Noah had figured out how this worked he gawked at the screen. Of course that was a stupid question! The blond ex-ghost started to flail but made an excited yet frustrated noise instead. ]

You’re here! Oh my god, you’re here. Where are you?! How..wait...

[ Flipping through a few things he mumbled and then gave a little excited bounce before returning to the screen. ]

Don’t know how. Don’t care if I’m being honest. You’re here and that’s all that matters. Uh...and I have a body now so there’s that.

I suggest you calm yourself. Not all of us are blessed to be taken with our companions. (She, for example, is here alone.)

[ Well, that’s something he’s going to have to get used to. Hello— but keeps scrolling]

I didn’t think any of them would be in it but—OH! He is!

[ Pausing in his panic, he looks at the video and looks momentarily embarrassed. ]

Sorry, Noah. I’m Noah.

[ Blinking at the video, he does somehow calm down a little... ]

...who are you?

I am Daenerys Targaryen. (From Westeros, which isn't helpful, she knows.) What is your name?

I'm in the common housing area.

[He automatically lists which room while still trying to comprehends how his ghostly best friend is suddenly able to use a cell phone with ease. He hasn't started investigating this place, but he doubts that it's centered on a ley line.]

You... have a body. You're alive? If you're alive you shouldn't know me!

[The words are blurted out without thought as he tries to understand the evidence in front of him. Mostly in front of him. Gansey isn't sure that he'll believe that Noah is truly alive until he's able to touch him and verify that he's solid and feels a pulse.]

Noah Czerny. That’s a beautiful name... [ Super fitting with the face. But no, Westeros wouldn’t help anymore than Henrietta Virginia would. ] I’m going to go on a limb and guess you’re alone...?

...common housing area....got it!

[ Figures out where that is and luckily, it isn’t too far. He heads off in that direction, mindful of anything in his path or people in his path. One goal: Find Gansey and tackle the crap out of him. ]

I have a body. Don’t know how I have a body but...you know...really don’t want to question it too much since...I’m alive and can— You know I’m going to tackle you right? Cause I am.

[ The last part makes his brow furrow in confusion before he actually comprehends it—]

I...don’t know how this works. If i went back in my timeline then sure...I shouldn’t know you, but I think I was just....resurrected or something here? I don’t know.

[ Smiling a bit, and yes there is a touch of a blush there. ]

Happy? Or is it weird? It’s probably weird...

[Once the realization that Noah isn't a figment of his imagination settles in his mind, Gansey leaves his room, locking up automatically before he heads toward the main entrance. It probably is too public a place to meet, but he can't wait to see the truth. If Noah's alive...]

I'm not questioning it exactly, I'm trying to comprehend it.

[It still seems unreal even knowing that Noah is holding a cell phone and speaking to him without needing Blue nearby.]

You're going to tackle me?

[That seems like a very un-Noah-like thing to do. Usually Noah avoids contact or anything else that is normal for a living teenager unless Blue was nearby. Then he was similar to someone who was still alive. Pushing aside that thought, Gansey realizes that Noah might think he was repulsed by what has happened to him.]

Yes, you may tackle me, but I'll be shocked by being able to actually feel it.

[He sometimes could feel Noah's touch when he was a ghost, but he assumes that it'll be different now. As he speaks, he avoids running into the other tenants, smiling politely whenever looks at him strangely as they overhear bits of the conversation.]

I can't express how happy I am, Noah.

[ Noah on the other hand doesn’t even think about other people overhearing the conversation. He just weaves through people, checking his location and Ganseys every ten feet just to make sure they’ll meet somewhere in the middle. Worrying was natural for him and he was worried that Gansey wouldn’t want to be near him. That he wouldn’t enjoy being touched or clung to in the ways that Noah had been known to do when he was alive. It would be ten times worse now considering how badly he wanted contact with his friends. ]

Yeah, you can. Hug me back and I’ll know.

[ Looking around, he paused when it felt like they were close enough. ]

If its weird to be around me now....I understand....I’m different than when I was dead....remember when I said I was more? I meant it...you’re close. I can still feel that....is that weird?

I like yours too, Noah. (It isn't Japanese - she is fairly sure on that point - but it has an interesting sound to it.) My brother was here briefly, but he was returned.

[ Polish, which is ironic since he’s definitely not from anywhere near Poland. — Returned? If they aren’t even sure how they arrived, how could they be certain that returned would even be half correct? Gansey has definitely rubbed off on him.

He tips his head a little and watches her face, listening to the subtle accent of her voice. It’s funny because they almost look related. Same pale hair, eyes...]

[Once he reaches the main area, Gansey realizes he's too impatient to wait in one place. He starts pacing, looking hopeful whenever anyone enters the area. Would he recognize Noah? He looks the same on the video as he had as ghost, but maybe his mind had been playing tricks on him.]

I want to see what more means.

[He catches a glimpse of almost white hair, surprised that it isn't darker. He'd always assumed that Noah's paleness was because he was a ghost despite seeing pictures of the teenager that had been murdered seven years ago. Somehow the details hadn't connected until now. Dodging the people in his way, he calls out Noah, the only thing holding him back is Noah wanting to tackle him.]

Noah?

[ Relief washes over him the second he hears his name over the hustle and bustle of the rest of this place. Noah knew he was close, and after a few turns to locate the voice he finally sees him. Tackling may be a bit of overkill in this sort of situation but he doesn’t entirely care. At least he has half the mind to put the phone in his pocket before heading towards Gansey. Can’t have his first phone in seven years broken.

It would be worth it, though.

There is some brief weaving through people but when he’s close enough he makes good on his promise; he does tackle Gansey in one of the warmest, needful, affectionate, desperate hugs of life. His heart is pounding too hard, and the panic he had felt is suddenly there, alive, swirling butterflies in his stomach as he realizes one hundred percent that he isn’t alone. Gansey isn’t a figment of his imagination.

He just hopes he didn’t smoosh him because hes too attached to pull back and look.]

You’re really here. I’m so glad you’re really here. I was worried you weren’t real and were just screwing with me.

[Sliding his phone in his pocket, he tries to meet Noah halfway but his friend is quicker than Gansey. Or too polite to shove his way around people. Either might be true.

His heart seems to stop when he finally sees Noah without any obstacles or him being an image on his phone. He looks so real that it's heartbreaking. Even when Noah was solid and present, he always seemed fuzzy around the edges. Gansey's mind had always made excuses for it before he knew the truth and afterward it was just part of Noah. Now Noah's vividly here.

He also lives up to his promise to tackle Gansey. Taking a step back to keep his balance, he hugs Noah close, mind still trying to comprehend that this is possible. There's no shock of cold. No sense of other-worldliness that he sometimes felt when he was near Noah. He felt the same as Ronan or Adam. Solid and warm and real. Somehow that seems almost as unreal as finding his friend's bones next to the Mustang.]

We're both really here. [Somehow, but Gansey isn't going to question the miracle that they'd been given.] I wouldn't do that to you. You know that.

I know you wouldn’t. But this place? Whoever brought us here? They might have.

[ Leaning back after a long moment, but not pulling away completely, he looks over Ganseys face. No, this was the real Gansey. He felt like the real Gansey, looked like him, he even smelled like him. Mint and warmth. ]

When I woke up in that pod I thought it was all over. I was really gone and I’d never see any of you again...

[ Needless to say: It was Terrifying. — Noah just watched him for what felt like forever before blinking and taking a small step back so that he didn’t overstay his welcome, still unused to not being a damned ghostly ice pop. ]

I’d kiss you I’m so happy, but ah...yeah...

(Her brother is dead, so whether he returned to experience his death or not, that can't be undone for long. Daenerys never actually knew him in Westeros, but here... She had a small chance.

He does have the Targaryen look about him.)

[ That list was not what he had expected and it took him a moment to take in all of the details and odd words he had never heard before but then he smiled softly. ]

[ He wasn’t flirting per say but he was honest and had no filter. ]

No King? Or is that why you seem...sad....cause he's not here?

(He has touched on a sensitive and upsetting subject accidentally. She could bite back, but he means her no harm.)

I plan to rule alone. (Or...she did.) I was married to Khal Drogo, but he died. There was another man, however he...
