[Video] I must be dreaming 'cause I don't believe in ghosts

[The video shows Eijiro sitting inside of one of the comfortably sized apartments in the Haunted Mansion in Everglade. He's confused, visibly shaken up, but he's got a forced smile on his face pretty quickly. He's a man, and men aren't afraid of ghosts! But goodness, the handprint on the wall behind him is blood and he knows it. And the light from the old lamp keeps flickering on and off, and he's had the ghost landlord show up behind him twice already today. So the lack of privacy alone is enough to have him a little unsettled.]

So let's get to know each other. I'm Kirishima, and I'm new to-[His voice cuts off, as a couple of candles float past him. This is out of control. He opens his mouth to speak again, and this time the lights go out entirely, leaving him in the dark with the candles floating around him as the main light source.] This is just like a horror movie... Hey! Anyone out there, do you know how to fight a ghost? 'Cause my front door disappeared, and I think this is going to head into a boss battle.

My magic is great for dealing with ghosts! I can be there soon.

[ Have a very matter-of-fact devilish woman, Kirishima. ]

Generally either an enchanted weapon, or some kind of magic is required since they're not tangible.

Magic?! Like, real magic? [Kirishima is amazed, this place has ghosts and magic too?] Yeah, what I've got isn't really cutting it! I can't even touch the dead dude that keeps showing up! [Kirishima's quirk isn't doing particularly well against the incorporeal.]

[Oh hey devilish lady. Have a sharp tooth nervous teenager in return.]

Wait, really? Is that why my quirk isn't working? I can't even touch the guy who keeps showing up!

[ Remilia sighs a little. ]

You're not in any danger. Granted, the landlord can be irritating.

[ Here, have a vampire. ]

[His expression is serious for a moment, but then his lips curl into a slight smile.]

Ghosts?

Not exactly.

[Kirishima huffs before speaking.]

Hey! It's not cool to smile at someone else's misfortune! [His voice raises into a squeak as the ghostly landlord shows up right behind him for a moment, touching his back. And then the landlord disappears into wisps and fades away.] Seriously, this guy is creeping me out. He's got no boundaries!

If I'm not allowed to leave, that's kinda being in danger, isn't it? [Kirishima is trying really hard to keep some sense of composure. But it's not easy.] I was going to change when he showed up earlier. He doesn't have any boundaries. You sure he's not... [Dangerous? Perverse? Creepy beyond creepy?]

( Lioriley looks concerned. Perhaps overly so, given that this boy seems pretty young and has just mentioned ghosts. )

Do you possess any sagery abilities by chance? Or know of some holy symbols within the room you are in?

I must admit, that is the first I've heard of anyone being trapped there. I could send Sakuya, her knives can affect ghosts given the enchanted nature of them.

They can't just keep me, right? They're ghosts, not villains... [He really doesn't want to punch his way out of a room, but if he has to, he might just. Damn. There's really no winning.] I'm going to try to find my own way through this first. But I might need the help if things go bad for me.

[He's not sure what to do. He's trapped, ]

Sage? I'm not in the kitchen right now, but there might be something like that there! [A pause. He's watching the candles circle around again.] Holy? Like sacred? Or like in a shirt? 'Cause I don't think there's anything you'd find in a temple around here.

[Oh hey Kirishima. Monoma is exactly the person you wanted to see while you're dealing with trouble, right?

He's not shy about laughing at Kirishima's predicament.]

Having this much trouble even though you're from Class 1A? Isn't that strange?

[Fortunately, he's matured a little in his time here. That means he'll divulge one bit of helpful information after enjoying a good laugh.]

No, not the spice. Sagery is a school of holy magic - I am going to assume your response means you are not versed in such things. ( mostly expected, given the amount of people in genessia and how many seem confused by her own form of magic. )

Unfortunate. I could... Attempt to break you free if necessary? Perhaps the door vanishing was only an illusion.

Or maybe your ghost is playing a joke on you. You could ask it to stop.

God, what an obnoxious twist of fate. He'll take the old weird landlord ghost any day. Why the copy bastard of all people? The dude is just so mean.]

[He's not sure what to think of any information being offered at all but he'll take it.]

Yeah? What teachers? Where are they? And how long have you been here?

[The ghost is determined to fix his hair. Make him look respectable. Kirishima however does not know this. And he's certain that the landlord ghost is a pervert or something instead of a dead man who would get along well with Best Jeanist.]

Holy magic? No, I've got my quirk but it's not really working out for me here. If I try to punch him or push him away he just disappears and shows up somewhere else. [The boy is about as magical as the bulk of the other heroes. Which is to say, not at all.] I'm going to ask him first!

( She has questions. Questions she will ask once this boy is in a better situation than the one he's currently found himself in. )

By all means. Hopefully he is obliged to answer. ( if not then... she'll try and think of something else?? )

[The phone is still on when he turns to talk to the ghost.] Hey, Mr. Landlord! I don't mind the hauntings, it's a nice apartment! But I want to be able to leave when I want! So can you let me-[Oh shit oh shit oh shit. Ghost is grabbing for his head, trying to keep him still. Kirishima wiggles out of range, and the camera just shows the floating candles for a bit. Maybe some blood running down the wall, but hey, no big deal.

The sounds of scrambling and yelling can be heard loudly offscreen. While most of what is being said can't be understood, "Men aren't afraid of ghosts!" and "I'm too manly for the afterlife!" certainly stand out.]

Ohhhh~! A boss battle?

[Have one fallen/devilish angel looking so energetic after hearing this!]

Sounds exciting! Does it have a boss theme too?

[Sometimes he wonder if this place is switching out kids for the kick of it.]

Kirishima.

[Just to get the kid's attention. Seriously, do all kids treat this world like an Rpg game or something?]

Why are you in the Everglade?

Boss theme?! If you're asking about music, it's just the same creepy song that's been playing on the old... [Eijiro turns the phone towards the gramophone that's in the corner of the room on a table.] On that!

[Kirishima looks so relieved when he sees Aizawa. Yes, a somewhat-responsible adult who's actually scarier than anything in this room! He's saved!]

You're here! [He's not trying to treat it like that, he just wants to be okay. And not eaten by a ghost.] I was told I had to get an apartment, and a job! But I didn't know where else to go, and some guy said there were deals on rent in Everglade so I moved in there. And yesterday nothing happened! But today it's not like that, and it's like Halloween in a single house! [He hasn't actually explored the Everglade.]

[Alright. He was simply smiling until he heard the end of that one word turn into a squeak. Now, he's chuckling.]

I apologize. But I don't understand why you're concerned about ghosts. [He can't tell if he even sees a ghost in the video feed or not, really. It's certainly not a Stand, otherwise he'd have seen it instantly.

After a pause, he decides to ask:]

Are you alright?

Hm, oh no. That's just wrong! Ohhhh! It needs something like this!

[She turns up the radio. And BAM! This music plays on her end.]

Mr Ghost Landlord. If you could, let this be the boss battle theme instead, okay?

[Talk about priories.]

[More than a year, thank you very much. Grunts quietly here. Honestly, didn't he bother to check the contact lists at least? Or even read about the areas....] Heading over there. [Thankfully, he knows which mansion it is.]

Make a hole in the wall if there's no door. You're allowed to use your quirk while we're stuck here.
