[After a quick shower following the usual early morning training session, Dove is ready to go, shooting a quick text to her companion as she heads for the door of her penthouse. Pokeballs and miscellaneous supplies tucked inside the small satchel carefully slung over her shoulder, she locks up and heads down to the lobby. Oddly enough, her attire is simple- fashionable, of course, but practical in its own right. Just a short, casual romper and a pair of flat sandals laced up her slender legs.]

Still up for a birthday adventure? Given you've had time to primp after that tragic defeat...

[.... her own, of course. She still wasn't anywhere near strong enough to take him down, even when he was just toying with her.]

[It definitely is and Li will show up on time. At least she's dressed? Even if it is shorts and some crop top shirt that she stole from somewhere. Not.. exactly modest.]

[She only raises a brow as she holds the door open for the other woman- not at the clothing, as she's gotten somewhat used to it, but at the directness. It's... more than usual.]

Yes ma'am... [she nods, biting back a grin. If Li was upset, she'd be going off already, right?]

[Right. Li was definitely not upset. If anything, she seemed more relaxed than she has been in ages. And perhaps..a little more sultry than usual as she made her way to the counter to order her usual.

Once they had their food and she was settled into her seat, Li was finally ready to talk.]

So. What prompted the check up?

[Dove just settles in across from her and douses her bbq chicken in sauce.]

I don't know. I just had a feeling, [she shrugs, looking almost wary, as if Li might explode, despite the calmness.] One day you're on the network with the most impressive booty call I've ever seen, and then it's just...radio silence.

[She snorted faintly as she started consuming her pulled pork.]

Yeah, well. There's a reason. Besides, that 'booty call' was a desperate one. Lets see how you do if you didn't have a heat cycle for a 150 years and then suddenly had one.

[She stabbed her meat viciously before relenting.]

...But, the 'booty call' worked. I found a stallion for my needs. A pretty decent one too.

[She shrugged in agreement after a moment of contemplation. Li... had a fair point. While she hadn't exactly had much luck herself, one hundred and fifty years was... a lot. A lot.

She raised a brow at the revelation.]

He's interesting to keep around. Besides, there aren't very many males here that can run with a kelpie and keep up.

[She went back to eating her meal, not really wishing to clear up what she meant to Dove just yet. Though, when she mentioned that 'shifter guy', she smirked a little and stabbed her meat. ]

[She sat back in her chair, laughter clear on her face and a brow raised. At least Li was having some luck.]

You must be really smitten, hm? Suits your tastes in different ways than most males~?

[Li just smirks and keeps eating while Dove does what Dove does.. and then pauses when she mentions the word 'smitten' and rolls her eyes.]

I'm not human Dove. Forget this 'smitten thing'. He's just a stallion that I'm running with.

[Another stab of her meat.]

...And I do mean stallion. He fits the need perfectly.

[Right, okay. She cocks her head.]

Really? [She sits up straighter to dig back into her own meal.] And those needs are...? [The look on her face makes it fairly clear that she's just teasing about what those 'needs' might be.]

[She glanced at her friend and smirked.]

Mating mostly. And perhaps a little companionship.

[...A lot of companionship. Li likes the guy, she just isn't willing to admit how much.]

Besides, the season's over. He's the one choosing to stick around and I'm just indulging him.

Uh...huh, [she repeated. Li didn't have to admit it aloud- the angel could feel it itching just under the kelpie's lovely 'human' skin.] 'Indulging' him? Orrrr....
