9th Campaign [Video] - Delicious propaganda, I MUST EAT IT
[Throughout Genessia and, to a lesser extent, several sub-cities, there are posters about encouraging others to 'Vote Princess Azula for Fayren Guardianship'. It is essentially a waist up picture of Azula standing proud in her Fire Lord Armor standing under an oak tree.
Satsuki would prefer a smear campaign, but she really doesn't have enough information on MewTwo to perform something like that- so she's decided upon an alternative method- for those undecided, she's more than happy to attempt deciding for them.
The feed opens with Satsuki Kiryuin sitting at an office that is, presumably, within Wily Tower. By her side is a set of tea and kettle, which is picked up by her Gothorita and carried off. There might or might not be a subtle discrediting there.]
Denizens of Genessia, it has come to my attention that there are two candidates running for position of Guardian of Fayren. Because accomplishments of the duo are not widely known, I would like to provide insight on why I have decided to give my vote to Princess Azula.
As of now, it is not immediately apparent what issues the main City and sub-cities face outside of large scale attacks. The economy is a bit of a mystery, but serviceable. Many denizens are capable of providing help to others that need it. Many other issues that may plague our home worlds have not revealed themselves here. What is clear to me is that we are in need of leaders to help provide direction in the extremely unusual situation that we are in, and for that task I would easily find the young lady beyond capable.
The Princess is empathetic and aware; a listener and an admirable guide. I am impressed by how many times I have seen her welcome and assist newcomers, many of you who I am sure are watching at this time.
She is quite proactive, involved and decisive; I have witnessed her laudable, heroic responses and actions during the Great Disaster of Genessia City, as well as the unusual Nightmare Incident of Everglade.
While there is no shortage of confidence and focus within her, I have seen at the block party that she also has a light sense of humor- I freely admit that it has it's place, particularly in the future where I am certain future Guardians may end up in heated disagreements once in a while.
And, most obviously, she is the daughter of the great Fire Lord Ozai of her world. It is true that she is quite young but she has been raised and prepared from birth to fit in a position like this one.
If there is one glaring weakness I have noticed, it is that she spreads herself too thin- But ith the appropriate assistants, Azula can easily become one of the most inspirational and enthusiastic Guardians of Genessia's time. Perhaps one of you should consider volunteering to assist in this matter.
I ask you do not take this information as discrediting everyone else's efforts- I am merely stating how I believe she possesses the traits of a Guardian, the ability to move forward and, as such, voted for her rather than her opponent. Thank you for your time.
[With that Satsuki ends the feed.]

Her opponent has told me she is unhinged, uses her powers wrongly against others, and believes herself to be superior to other people. Tell me. Why do you think he would make a bad Guardian?
Video
A 'bad' Guardian? I would not say he would be a 'bad' one if all he intends to do is protect Fayren from monsters and the like. In fact I think it may be well within his power.
One of my issues is that he does not seem particularly interested in associating with humans, and apparently he's referred to himself as 'a weapon'. I cannot really understand why a being with such baggage desires the position.
That said, I disagree with his asssessments.
[She raises her hand to her lower lip in a moment of thought.]
But he has potential. One day he could become an impressive Guardian. But right now I feel he is far from ready.
Video
That said, I am still not certain I will vote for the other person either.
no subject
video;
Was doing this necessary?
video
[Come to think of it, she might have seen this man's face on the network before, albeit very briefly.]
That is unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected- you are new here correct? Less than a week or so I presume.
I am Satsuki Kiryuin, Deputy Guardian of Nova City. I am afraid things have been rather hectic do I have been unable to greet the newcomers as of late. And with the current situation I would guess Lady Azula has not either.
To get to the point, the Guardians of the cities are going to have to work together and I am uncertain how many voters realize this. In times of uncertainty I would encourage you to vote for the person who is more likely to cooperate.
no subject
[Satsuki is both amused and impressed, she didn't think he would listen to her long-winded speeches.]
I admit I was rather surprised by Genessia's ballot. She should be interesting, I think.
video;
I was certain you had learned that already.
video
[He had at least met and conversed with Mewtwo.]
David Haller, new resident of this fine place. What exactly do you have to work together for?
no subject
Yeah. And I guess you have your position locked unless someone else wants to try to take it from you.
[Video]
[It's not a problem she can fix, unfortunately, her target audience was for those who are more easily swayed.]
To answer your question, officially? We do not. But allow me to tell you of a past incident, Haller: Two months ago a being by the name of Lucifer unleashed chaos upon Genessia City, nearly reducing everything to rubble; and the injuries numerous.
Should this happen again then officially, that is not any city's problem but Genessia's. Ideally, the Guardians would band together to organize and initiate an efficient plan of action.
Guardians are protectors. But they possess the potential to be so much more.
[Video]
So you want the Guardians to be more than protectors. Let me guess, symbols of hope. A group that the people of Genessia can always look to in their time of need, people that others can aspire to be like, a group that promises to try to make a better future for all under their guard. Something like that?
video;
I wasn't imply that, and both I and my sister know this.
no subject
Actually, which sub-city do you reside in?
video;
Then what were you implying? I cannot think of any other reason why you would ask a question with such an obvious answer.
[Video]
That said, I have seen my fair share of absurd beings; Death was particularly.. Unique.
[She raises a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose and sighs. But following that, she doesn't look very amused.]
Well, the 'aspire to be like' is accurate enough. To clarify, the denizens here are not all helpless- they are directionless. They arrive, try to discover answers, but eventually give in to their situation. To be fair, it is a very difficult situation, but I still find the behavior unacceptable.
The apathy, that sense of hopelessness is what I wish to change, and leading by example is not something I can do on my own.

I opened a sub-archway to Hueco Mundo from my world. So I live there instead of in any of the cities.
[Video]
And so you are pushing people that can help you in your crusade. Very noble of you. You sure you are up for such a big task?
no subject
[But she's just being polite there. As far as she's concerned, she is most certainly sure.]
I see, so the sub-city elections do not really effect you. I recall your speaking of Hueco Mundo before- I would be interested in seeing some of it sometime, assuming the place can be traversed by humans.
[Video]
[She didn't like him. But for him to live in a world where Gods are commonplace, this makes her curious to know who she's really speaking with. And that hair isn't much of a clue.
Noble, he says? She supposes so.]
Yes; and I have to be. I admit I am used to dealing with more compliant masses, but I will find a way to adjust. [Though does she mean to adjust herself or the people?] But now I am curious, are you related to the Gods you speak of in some way? I have noticed the majority of newcomers here possess extraordinary abilities in one form or another.
video;
[ he outed himself as a prince. he might as well lay public claim to azula being his sister, too. it was a difficult leap to make, after all. they were both the spitting image of their father ...huge scar aside. ]
video;
[Beat.]
If Azula were not your sister and I had not made this announcement, which of the two would you vote for and why?
no subject
There is nothing there that should hurt you. There ain't much to really see there either, but I'll show you if you really care that much to see the place.
[Video]
video;
Azula and I were raised in a hereditary monarchy, but even we're doing our best to abide by a system of government and selection of leadership that does not coorrespond with our own.
video;
Impressive. Well for someone as informed as yourself, it is no wonder you find the gesture unneccessary. However, there are a number of people who are not as much, and that is whom my announcement was for.
However that bit of information is troubling- It is not that I do not believe you, but I cannot recall her opponent having done such a thing. When was this?
video;
[Video] Sorry for the delay, think I'm back on track!
Then again, I also cannot confirm if others with abilities have been given from birth or a higher power or the like- but I suppose here in Genessia that does not really matter.
[Though perhaps that isn't exactly true- If magic users are similar to mutants, it would be useful to know their weaknesses; but she'll keep that thought to herself.]
If I may ask, what do your abilities allow you to do? Myself, I am proficient in swordplay.
[Video] No prob!
That depends on what power I am using. Read minds, move things with just a thought, spontaneously set things on fire, see into the future. And there are about a few thousand other abilities that I have. Is being proficient in swordplay your power?
video;
I see, that explains it perfectly. Still, that does also show I will need to improve upon my intel. That also reminds me that I had never gotten the chance to commend you for your aid during that disaster. Your efforts were nothing short of exemplary and helped my team immensely.
[Does this make her regret her words at the auction? Not really. But she doesn't plan on bringing that situation up.]
What part will you be playing should your sister become Fayren's guardian?
no subject
[Beat.]
So until then.
(OOC: I should be able to toss the other log up this week, I'll let you know when it's ready.)
video;
Naturally, I will be at my sister's side as one of her deputy guardians.
[Video]
[Well, he makes it pretty clear he's not the kind of person she wants to make an enemy of. But really, that is a bit.. Much. Almost intimidating, really. But surely there is some sort of catch?]
I would not say it is my 'power' but it could be said it is my greatest skill. I am otherwise human.
[At least as far as she's concerned.]
Out of curiosity, have you come to decide which sub-city you will settle in? Or are you still looking around?
[Video]
Not to bad. [He knew people that would take on God like beings with less than a sword.]
Still looking. Any place seems like it would make a good home, though.
video;
Of course. Then we shall be seeing more of each other soon. I'm afraid there are other matters I must tend to, so until then..
[Beat]
Unless there are any other questions.
[Video]
I see. Then should you decide to reside in Nova City, feel free to pay me a visit- the building is impossible to miss.
[Satsuki refers to Wily Tower, of course, easily the tallest standing building in Nova City with a large, neon-lit 'W' right on the front and back.]
[Video]
[Video]
The reason is that I try to keep in touch with Nova's denizens whenever I can. The intent isn't to be intrusive but rather to get to know them enough to work alongside them efficiently when necessary.
[Video]
[Video] Oh my god I am basically the latest. orz
[Perhaps she could recommend a decent realtor but Satsuki isn't that hospitable. Though it is true the easier it is to keep an eye on him, the better. Hmn. She'll have to think on that.]
Then I had best return to my work. Perhaps I will hear from you again soon- until then.
[Video] Pft, no prob.
Until then.
