[ mamoru was no stranger to being kidnapped or finding himself inexplicably in a strange place with no memory of how he came to be there — nor was this his first time waking up in a strange pod, nevermind that his memories of the time he spent under beryl and metalia's control were (thankfully) few and faded. it was because of this prior experience he had with all three that he emerged from the depths of the bay already transformed into tuxedo kamen, his true identity hidden behind the glamour and the mask on his face.

he read the pamphlet before speaking up on the network, but having read it didn't mean he trusted it. that sense of calm that washed over him was not to be credited to the information the pamphlet provided. it was due to the presences of those he knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, were here. somewhere. he could feel it; one of those things he just knew without trying to know, because that was simply how his power worked. they're here — she was here.

from the right angle, a pair of bright royal blue eyes could be seen peering out from behind the mask as he asked of the network the only — and most important, as far as he was concerned — thing he was interested in knowing at the moment: ]

Sailor Moon? [She shakes her head.] Sorry, the name doesn't ring a bell. Could you tell me what she looks like? I could keep an eye out for you, if you want.

[ a sudden surge of mild panic that wars with the assurance of knowing threatens to rise within him. she is here; he can feel it. so, why didn't they know her? had usagi opted to not transform into sailor moon? had her brooch and the crystal been taken from her? a dozen worst case scenarios play out in his mind, but he refuses to settle on any of them. mostly because he's sure that if something of that magnitude were wrong, he'd know it. (he always knows it.) ]

No, it doesn't. Should I? [Maybe she should, and she feels bad that she doesn't.] ...is there a particular reason why you're looking for her?

[She's not entirely sure why she asked that. He just seems like he's urgent to find whoever this "Sailor Moon" is, and it sort of slipped out.

...okay, so maybe she's also--just slightly--a little suspicious, which is something she can't help. If the man who wanted her dead were here, he'd probably try to seek her out as well. But so would her loved ones, so it's a tough call.]

[Counting all the profits and computing how to share it with all the 'volunteers', was not easy. It would be if she was Amy, but unfortunately, math was not Usagi's strongest subject. It never was. Still she tried.

Just when she was about to finish everything, in an instant she forgot everything she was computing for. There was a familiar voice. A voice that made her heart jump in an instant. It was her fair Endymion.

No. This was Tuxedo Mask.

Did her birthday wish come true? Did they really bring Tuxedo Mask here? More importantly, was this a good thing?

But she can't think about that. She can never think of anything else when Mamoru was concerned. He was too important for second thoughts.

Before she answered the feed, she had already transformed to eternal sailor moon, and she had a huge and gentle smile ready to greet him.]

It's unique, which got you one point, and it wasn't one of the top 10 questions that everyone asks when they first get here, like where they are, how they get home, who kidnapped them, take me to your leader, et cetera, so you got another two points. Another point for what I assume is intense Halloween pre-prep!

Overall though, I'd say it lacks punch and I still have no idea who you are, so there wasn't much introduction in the introduction!

[While Usagi was on the computer dealing with the business, Minako had gone about getting the food end of the business... which generally meant they were hungry and were in desperate need of food. So had chosen to walk past the Bay on the way back to the apartment simply because why not check to see if anyone were to appear. What she hadn't been expecting however was someone she obvious knew. Minako couldn't help but be happy because it meant Usagi can finally be truly happy. So going to quickly hide and change into Sailor Venus, still with her giant bag of food she stepped out and made her way over.]

Sailor Moon will be over the moon to see you. [That may or may not have been a pun.]

[ he breathed a sigh of relief. she was here, and she appeared to be okay. his instincts were right — again. (when were they ever wrong?) ]

Eternal Sailor Moon. [ she's on the receiving end of one of those smiles that are reserved just for her, and have been since long before they were living the lives they are now. ] Where are you?

[ tuxedo kamen didn't know this place, but he could find her if she wished. finding his way to her was something he excelled at, and he needed to see her. after the defeat of the dead moon circus, things were supposed to go back to normal. but of course, things never seemed to stay calm and quiet for them for very long. but this... he hadn't seen this coming, and that bothered him more than he was willing to admit. ]

[ he whirled around to face her when she approached, his cape billowing behind him. ]

Venus. [ now that he knew usagi was okay and had spoken with her, he could begin to address other matters. he held up the pamphlet. ] Is everything in here true?

[She looked at the pamphlet quietly for a moment.]

It is, it seems like it came from someone who had been here for a while, but we've never actually seen them. We assume he went home like many others.

[As much as she hated to admit it, but she did like the fact that sometimes they get a break and all is peaceful... Until something else came along and even then she couldn't tell when that could be.]

Shall we talk while we walk. I'm going back to the apartment Sailor Moon and I share, so I'm sure you'd want to follow.

[ tuxedo kamen nods, falling into step alongside the leader of the inner senshi and the head of usagi's guard. ]

How long have you been here?

[She went quiet for a moment as she was thinking about how long she had been here for now. She knew it was a while more than just a couple of months. Once she figured it out she turned her head slightly.]

Just over five months myself. There are others here who have been here longer than me and those who have been here less.

[ five months? he'd just seen minako less than a few hours ago when he walked the girls to school on his way to class... but mamoru knew enough about theoretical physics (reading up on speculative sciences was a legitimate hobby, right?) and had enough experience with temporal shenanigans to understand how that would be possible, because it was actually possible for her to have been here for the past five months while he was living in sync with her in another temporal plane. ]

And in that time, none of them have figured out how to get home?

I'm a planetary guardian, not a trick-or-treater.

[ yeah, he gets that. his "just messing with you" radar is going off. troll in the dungeon. ]

Probably not. [ if she wasn't from his version of the world, then no. she wouldn't have heard of her unless usagi had already made sailor moon's presence known here.

he's looking for her, because he was reborn for her. he was reborn for her, she's literally his everything. he faced a life without her for a horrifying few minutes when she jumped during the battle with pharaoh 90. a world without her was world he wasn't interested in living in. ]

She's our leader. [ also the truth, even if it wasn't the true reason he was seeking her out. ]

[Now that she was sure it was really him, sailor moon was able to take a few breaths and sigh in relief. It wasn't an illusion. It couldn't possibly. That smile, how can anyone mimic that smile. It was gentle and kind without betraying his strength. She took a few moments to just look at his smile and be momentarily drawn to it, before she focused on the urgent matter hand.

Tuxedo mask will see a whirlwind of images passing by and a world of curious sounds, but when it's done, the feed would have been secured, and he'll see her a bit breathless with the clear sky behind her.]

I sent you some coordinates, which you can follow using this device. It'll be easier for you to find me here. [She was just there, by the rooftop, at the side overlooking the Bay. She just had to wonder, if he was here, what were the chances of her daughter, or their other friends finding this place as well.]

[ he doesn't necessarily need the coordinates to find her, but they help. soon he's parkouring it up the side of a building and across others, following both the coordinates and that innate sense within him that tells him where to go to get to her — as if she has a homing signal implanted within her that only he is able to detect — towards her location. in his search for her and curiosity regarding genessia, he'd wandered away from the bay, but he's bounding back towards it.

and in virtually no time at all, he was landing on the ground before her, rising back up from the crouch he'd caught himself in to smile that smile at her again. his world shifted back into place and felt right again, allowing him to breathe easily.

he held his arms out. ] Usako.

I did have one possible method before I arrived here... [She sighed slightly. The place she had been to before had dragons that would take people, but here there wasn't a way that she was obvious aware of and she had been trying her best to keep an eye out.]

But no, none of us have yet to find a method out here. We we just settle and wait for a chance to figure it out.

I see...

[When he answers her question, she cocks her head to the side lightly.]

Leader, huh? [That response does make her less suspicious.] So there's a group of you guys?

Sailor Moon? Is that some sort of pun?

[And she's serious... Though she did grow up in an era where sailors used the moon and stars to navigate.]

[That is a very spiffy looking suit there, sir! ~~Shame you aren't wearing a top hat too; you'd be Luke's new favorite person~~]

I don't know anyone named Sailor Moon. Is she your friend?

[ before? behind the veil of his mask, his brows knitted together in confusion. ]

I'm not sure I like those odds. [ spoiler: he didn't like them at all. ] Waiting isn't the most proactive approach.

[ he nods. ]

Yes. Sailor Moon and I are not the only planetary guardians.

[ tuxedo kamen doesn't know it yet, but there's more than he's presently aware of, too. ~~of course, he'll be too busy being dead for 90% of the next arc to count~~ ]

[ he's serious, too, though he can understand how someone unaware of sailor moon would mistake her title for a pun. sailor moon was a warrior, a guardian, not an actual sailor. ]

[ he used to wear a hat! for a few acts of the first arc, but it ceased to be part of his costume after that. ]

Yes. Something like that. [ you haven't gotten any better at not sounding suspicious, mamoru. this is why luna thought you were a potential enemy in the beginning. ]

[Put it back! Top hats are cool! ~~Mun *knew* there was a reason she thought he had a top hat!~~]

[Yeah. You're looking a little bit too suspicious for Luke to offer to help. Besides, the guy is wearing a tuxedo and a mask in the middle of the day, with a cape. And he isn't exactly forthcoming with information.]
