[That damn son of a bitch got him tired, and not in a good way. He needed a break after that fight. Plus, he's been to busy checking on Orihime who was practically catatonic. Sure he's helping heal her, but he's not so sure if it was enough. Either way, his angelic body needed to rest for now. He still had plans for next month after all. So, he switches bodies.

For now, the feed opens with a familiar face. It was Kira, and as always, he had the most confident and charming smile. Isn't he just handsome? Right now, he was actually dressed too.]

Sup everyone!?

[He takes time to wink before he proceeds with organizing some paperwork.]

It's been a while since I've set up my tattoo parlor, but figured a little advertising won't hurt. I'm at Nova City, in the alley between [X] and [Y] street, and I'm good at what I do. For all the ladies who want something cute placed on yah, you get a kiss for no extra-charge.

[Winks] Looking forward to seeing all of you.

[For all those people who frequent the underworld of all the five cities, they'd recognize the address as one of the den's for recreational drugs. Of course, if you're not a frequent customer, Kira won't offer anything to you. This is a joint venture he had with Lassen after all.]

What time are you picking me up? [He looks forward to a night of pampering from the woman who he won from the auction. Though he seriously doubted it.]

[Even those doubts aren't serious enough for her. Seriously, why did she agree to this? So her hare-brained friends could get rich? Where is all that money going, anyway? And why...WHY...would this guy want to date HER, to the point where he'd even spend a good chunk of change doing it? There are cheaper ways to make her mad.]

[But fine, whatever. They'll go eat something, watch a stupid movie, and call it a night. She won't ever have to go through this humiliation again.]

5:30. If you're not ready, I'm not waiting.

[Can Raye see how flawless Kira's smile is at the moment. Almost as if he's totally oblivious to her little temper tantrum. She does look good when she's mad after all - always has.]

Good. [A cocky smile.]

I just sent you the coordinates to my house. You can pick me up there.

[She nods once, and hangs up. Rude.]

[That was faster than expected. He wagered she would drop the call after a minute or two, not less. There was already a smile on his face. She was just too cute, and she didn't quite know it.

5:30. It gave him a lot of time to change. He didn't want to look too ragged for their first date. But he didn't want her to assume he prepared for it. So when he opens the door for her, she'll see him in sleek black jeans, boots and long-sleeve shirt. He had his cross necklace and a standard gold watch.]

That took a while. Don't tell me you got lost.

[As if he actually wanted to go on a date with her. She's convinced he's doing this solely to make her angry. But she's not so petty that she wouldn't try to play her part. She wears white slacks and a classy navy blue blouse with a bow at the collar, like so, with a white jacket and pageboy cap. The hotter summer months are fading and the nights are getting cooler, so the jacket is slung over her shoulder for now. She stands on his doorstep with her hand on her hip. At least she looks good, even if her sharp gaze gives no illusions about her feelings on the matter. Her expectations are pretty low, and she's 99% certain this isn't going to be fun at all.]

Why are you so impatient to do this?

[Not like it matters. She huffs a sigh and half turns.]

Come on, let's just get something to eat.

A tattoo parlor?

This place just has everything, doesn't it?

That place? Ah, so you run it.

[A thoughtful pause.]

I'm rather curious now. I've always engraved things on my mind and heart, so what need would I have to put it on my skin as well?

Yep! Ain't it cool!

I was thinking bar, but too many bars around all the cities. So, tattoo parlor. I even do piercings on occasion.

Yep. I am the owner.

So people can see it. So people can see what you admire most. Plus, it's a little more permanent than paintings.

[No short skirt. Boo.

Well, at least she wasn't wearing some sort of priestess outfit or anything. So, he simply winks at her as he cooly leans on the front door.]

No flowers? No chocolates?

[He looks kinda depressed. Or at least, he pretended like he was disappointed.]

[It's so funny she forgot to laugh. Instead she marches down the steps, folding her arms so he doesn't get any funny ideas about trying to hold her hand.]

What kind of guy expects a girl to bring him flowers and chocolate? Let's just get this over with.

[Kira was all smiles. It was so easy to get a reaction from Raye, and he enjoyed every minute of it. She was the epitome of human emotions. Perhaps the same reason why he wanted to be a human in the first place. To feel emotions such as hate, angst, sadness, happiness and thrill.

He will certainly make her treat him, but he had to take a moment to get his wallet and his keys. He set the lock on his apartment and jogged easily beside Raye. A cocky smile ever present.]

Romantic guys who expect to receive a bit of romance.

Besides..[He shrugs.] You're dating me.

Romantic? Since when?

[She glowers up at him, her steps brisk.]

Why did you bid on me, anyway? That's an expensive prank.

I was born romantic. [He sneered as he made his way close enough so their elbows would touch against each other involuntarily.] Born gorgeous too.

Hmmmm [For a moment, he stopped on his tracks before he glanced back at her with a huge grin on his face.] Tell you what. If you last the whole evening with me, then I will tell you why.

[Her eyes narrow. As long as he doesn't act like a complete jerk, she'll finish the date. But her curiosity isn't going to be THAT strong. She pulls her elbow away stubbornly.]

It's just dinner and a movie. Don't expect anything more than that, got it?

Of course! [He said with a slightly raised brow.]

Why? Don't tell me you were expecting to go up to my apartment after and take advantage of me. [He shakes his head.] Tsk tsk tsk...

Gross...

[She grouses and remains silent all the way to the pizzeria. And she totally doesn't hold open the door for him either.]

[Surprisingly, Kira is the one to pull the door open for her. After all, this wasn't the first date he's ever had. God knows, he had to teach all his friends how it was done - totally bothersome.]

Pizza place, eh? I totally guessed wrong... [He stepped in after her. Really, he originally thought she might go for some mediterranean restaurant with spicy food. Matches her personality and all.]

[He opened the door for her? That gives her pause, and she regards him uncertainly for a moment before hesitantly stepping inside. She doesn't thank him, but the angry glares ease up a little.]

What, you don't have pizza where you're from?

[Raye gets in line, studying the menu. Pepperoni is pretty classic, maybe she'll pick that.]

[Kira had to look the other way when he noticed her features soften. That was not the reaction he had expected. Though, he did find it quite pleasant.

He looks around for a spot near a window and where there weren't that many people. For all his people skills, he was never a people person.]

We do. I just never expected you to be the pizza-type of person. Is that strange?

Not THAT strange. You don't know anything about me.

[Not even her best friend announced anything of real merit when auctioning Raye off. She looks back at him as he picks out a table.]

Anything you don't like on your pizza?

Sure. But you know, you tend to classify people based on your initial perception. So yeah.

[He shrugged.] Then again, that's what dates are for. To get to know the person a little more.

I'm good with anything. The spicier though, the better.

I'm not sure why that means I wouldn't like pizza. It's one of those universal foods everyone enjoys.

[Which is why she picked it. She's still not sure if she wants to bother getting to know Kira any better, but now that he's not bragging about how awesome he is, or needling her with flirtatious teasing remarks, she's a little less prickly. Her temper flares hot, but it's brief, so long as it isn't continually fed. She turns back to the counter, patiently waiting until the customers ahead of her are done. She orders a pepperoni pizza with olives, and spicy peppers on half of it. ~~Kira does seem to like spicy things doesn't he.~~ She adds two large cups of cola, which she carries back and sets on the table. It sucks that she has to pay, but at least she won't feel as if she owes him anything.]

What do you want to know?

Pizza? Are you kidding me? No. [Kira actually shrugs at that.

Happily, he loves spicy food. Growing up with a gang of rowdy boys trained him to adapt to spicy food. Specially when they had those little 'be a man' events, where his manhood was in question. Before she could carry everything, Kira takes the tray and carries it himself. He waits for her to sit, before he takes his own.] Sure you can get emotional, but I think you're a little more sophisticated than that. I was imagining some exotic food, or some french cuisine. Not really pizza.

For starters, how'd you get into that auction? Were you strapped for cash? [That was his reason after all.]

I never agreed to that stupid thing.

[She's still sore about it, but her temper has cooled significantly. Raye doesn't hold a grudge, and she knows Usagi and Minako probably meant well. But there are still times when they need to BUTT OUT OF HER PERSONAL LIFE! She rests her chin in her hand with a frustrated sigh.]

I get paid plenty for what I do, I don't need the money.

[And she never wanted it, nor does she trust people who have a lot of it, like daddy dearest.]

What about you? Why did you go?

Well, I suppose it's lucky then that you got auctioned. [He smiled cheekily.] Don't get me wrong. But, isn't it a compliment to be signed up for those kinda things? Like, someone expects you to bring in a lot of cash for charity because of your looks, so they chose you.

[Then, Kira's smile softened significantly. Almost like he was smiling for Setsuna. He was finally able to understand where the initial temper was coming from.] You should be glad your friends thought highly of you.

[Then, he starts to serve the slice. It wasn't his usual thing to be asked, so he pretended to laugh nervously. It was hopefully more natural, than his usual laughs. It was the joy of being a human after all.]

Money. Good looks aside, it's not easy to earn money.

But you dropped an awful lot of it on me for just one date.

[She feels the need to point that out because it's a direct contradiction. Maybe he thought he'd make buckets of cash just by flashing a devilish smile and uttering a few sinfully sweet words on the stage. As for her friends? That's personal. She's not ready to talk about them just yet for multiple reasons.]

How much did you go for?

[She can't help asking, she's morbidly curious. There's a brief nod of thanks before she starts to eat.]

Well, I'd have to say it was worth it. Besides, was there any other way for you to notice me?

[It was not something he'd usually say, but he thought it would be something that would make Raye feel a little at ease with the date. It would be nice for her to think that this was something that Kira was genuinely hoping for before the date auction.]

It was crazy. It was over before I knew what was happening.

The girl with the dumpling hairstyle totally confused me with her computation, but she gave me 900 red bills. She said it was my share. I'm not exactly sure how she computed it. [He shakes his head for a few moments. Until now, his head still hurts. Never trust blondes to give you an adequate explanation. He should have learned from Setsuna and Sara.]

Oh.

[She supposes she can't argue that, she wouldn't have agreed to go out with him at all unless circumstances really demanded it. His casual admission is enough to stun her into silence, too. When Raye wants something, she's accustomed to being the one who pursues her desires. That includes boyfriends. She's not used to being the one pursued at all. ~~Too bad she never realized how much Chad liked her.~~]

Nine hundred?! ...Not bad.

[She's startiing to relax a bit, and even smiles. The cocky attitude does needle her sometimes, but on the other hand, she appreciates his directness too.]

Are you enjoying the modeling job, at least?

[Happily, Raye wasn't the type who was painstakingly hard to get. It was hard to get her attention, but she didn't seem to be as evil and manipulative as the seraph, Alexiel. Something which made it easier for a timeless human like Kira.

Then, he nodded proudly.] Right? I was just glad it wasn't that old lady who won. She had a lot of cash, but she was muttering some stuff, which in my wildest dreams, have never been appealing. Too wild for my taste.

[He laughed a bit before he took a bite off the pizza on his plate.] I suppose. It's not as glitzy as I had hoped. They make you pose for hours. You go home with aching arms, back, and well, everything. It's insane what they call 'high fashion'.

That's disgusting.

[Seriously. If some old creep had tried to bid on her, Raye would have crammed a refund into his mouth. There was no way she would have put up with that. She's kind of surprised that Kira is turning out to be so...normal. And relatable.]

It's a date auction, what was she expecting? Some people are bonkers.

[She sips from her soda. Now he's talking about his job, and she's oddly fascinated. Being a top model wasn't on her list of dreams, but she did appreciate fashion and took great care in maintaining her appearance.]

I hadn't considered that. Still...it'll probably be nice to see yourself show up in magazines. Maybe you'll make the cover.

I know. [He got the nearest glass, and took a sip before he responded again. He had a genuine smile of happiness on his face while he examined Raye's reaction.] I was flattered and all, but it was just too creepy, and well, wrong.

I wish. I'd have to be a super celebrity for that to happen. They usually only have girls on the cover of every magazine, after all. I'm good looking, but that takes a lot of time and press involvement.

What about you? [He said, whilst searching for another slice of pizza.] Never considered modelling as a career?

[Whoops, apparently she DOES want to be a model so...pretend she never thought otherwise. Yes, good.]

Not necessarily. I mean, there are plenty of men's fitness and fashion magazines. Not as many as there are for women, but they're definitely out there.

[His question gives her pause. He's actually asking her? That's...actually refreshing. Raye smiles, laying her fingertips against her chest.]

Well, maybe someday. There's a lot I want to do. Singing, acting, voice acting...

[Getting married.]

There's not any real challenge to it here, though. All I'd have to do is say what I want for a career, and I'd have it. I wouldn't be able to estimate my skills and talents.

Right. [He laughed a bit.] And, sure, men actually read those stuff. [Another laugh before he raised his shirt a bit to show his abdomen. His muscles were well defined. They were strong and hard, but he wasn't a gym nut. He didn't have a body-builder's body.] I would love too, but I don't have enough steroids in my body to give them that, 'herculean body', they're looking for. They need men who look like they have huge steamed buns all over their abdomen.

Definitely not for me. [He laughed.] Oh, so you're more of a motion-type talent, huh?

Promise me, you'd sing for me one day?

[She rolls her eyes dramatically.]

Do you flash your abs on every first date you go on?

[Because it's not going to work on her. ...But he does have a nice shape, she remarks to herself. Even if the city didn't auto-grant people their requested careers, she can believe he really would be featured in magazines and fashion ads. As for her singing? Raye smiles with false modesty.]

That's a little personal. But if I ever decide to perform, I'll let you know.

[Why not? She has nothing to be ashamed of, she worked hard to write and perform her own songs. But singing for an audience of one is more intimate than she wants to get right now.]

What about you? What kind of job were you going to pursue where you came from?

Not really. Women can be so impatient sometimes. I've been in dates when I don't even have to do anything, they just take off my shirt. They can't seem to get enough of me.

[Pride. Ego. Sex appeal. He has too much of those, to even apologize for it.]

Fine. You better reserve the front seats for me. [Then, he gives a playful wink.] Okay?

[Then, for a moment, his smile fades. His onyx hues start looking at other things - the utensils, the plate, the glasses, anything but Raye's gaze.] I'm just a high school student, where I'm from. [No future to speak of. In the end, he was bound to follow Alexiel as her sword. Even if he didn't, the explosion Setsuna caused, took his life. There was no desirable future for him.]

That's inexcusable. They think being a woman gives them a right to invade someone's personal space? Give me a break.

[At least she's harsh on both genders? The women from his world just sound awful, she would have serious words with her classmates if any of them tried to pull a stunt like that. But she relaxes at his request and smiles. Why not?]

If you insist, fine.

[But this is interesting. She wasn't exactly expecting to see much depth from a guy like him, especially with such a harmless question. It's upsetting him. Why?]

No long term plans at all?

[Is he lazy, or a dire pessimist? What could leave him so hopeless?]

Not like I can complain, right? I mean, which judge would believe me when I say: That girl sexually harassed me during our date.

They'll just laugh. [He shrugs. Seriously. When he was beginning his human life, through out the centuries, he has met a lot of men and women, who just left him absolutely speechless.]

Glad to hear it. [He gives her a brief and honest smile. That would be nice. To have date number 2, for no other reason but just having fun.]

Not true. I can plan all I like. [Then, he looks outside.] But it's hopeless. What I do here in this world, is the most freedom I'd ever get. EVER.

[Raye regards him silently for a long moment. It's not something she often admits to herself, or at all, but she can see that she was wrong about her initial impressions of who Kira was. Someone had hurt him. She recognizes the signs of neglect, and the off-putting mannerisms. It's a defense, isn't it? Under other circumstances, if she didn't have her grandpa, she might easily be in his shoes.]

There is that.

[She knows coming to this place can be like prison to some, and liberation to others. It's a shame that Kira falls into the latter category, but he's right. He's free to do almost anything he pleases here.]

Do you want to talk about it? ...I know that's a little heavy for a first date, but we can put the date thing on hold for a while.

[Not like she was taking it all that seriously to begin with. If he needs someone to listen, she can do that.]

[For a brief moment, there is a peaceful expression on Kira's face. She understood him and that was all he needed. She didn't need to say anything more. If he had a choice, he'd stay here instead. This world seemed less complicated. No holy war. No angels, no demons. Just him, with a bachelor's pad, a job, and a possible second date. That was a nice feeling to have. No one to command him, no one to wield him and no one to force him into a situation which he can never get out of.]

One day.

But just so I don't keep you hanging, let's just say you're lucky if you live a life where you're free to choose. Where your destiny and powers don't dictate who you can be in the future.

But for now, [He shrugs his shoulders.] Why don't you tell me about your long term dream. What do you want to be in your world?

[She can't argue with that. As Sailor Mars, she has her own destiny and responsibilities. Or at least, she did. Here, that isn't the case. Sometimes it leaves her feeling lost, other times she appreciates the knowledge that she can be what she wants, so long as she still wishes to be. At his decision, she nods once. One day. She's not against that now.]

It's not really all that relevant here. I suppose I'd just like things to work out okay. Read people's fortunes. Make those stupid spirits understand what we really need here. It's a tough job, but I like the challenge.

Wait, so you're like one of those lucky psychic human types? [That was new. He has never seen a human who can read minds. As far as Alexiel told him, only Grigori's walked the earth and can tell fortunes.]

Does this mean you can see ghosts? [This was certainly worth his money. There was something intriguing about Raye. The prospect of knowing more about her, delighted Kira. More than anything, he's just really happy Raye wasn't pushing him to uncomfortable grounds. She seemed cool that way.]

I don't know about seeing ghosts.

[She waves her hand, only too happy to talk about one of her many passions.]

I'm a shinto priestess. It's not completely uncommon to be in touch with the spirits, you know? Fortune telling is more of a hobby, and it's definitely based on each person's interpretation rather than any true gift to see into the future.

[But basically she can do that too, she just doesn't mention it very often. She can't read minds at all, but he's welcome to think so.]

[Then his gaze falls on Raye. His face a picture of pure intrigue.] Does this mean, if everything works out between us, you can't get married to me? I mean, Priests and Priestesses are devoted to their temples, right? [Or, was that nuns?]

We haven't even finished our first date, and you're thinking about marriage?

[Her tone is far from harsh. She seems entertained at the teasing...and she's definitely blushing. Should he really be giving a teenage girl those kinds of ideas this early in the game?]

Anyway, I can get married. I kind of planned on it before, once I found the right guy.

Well, you did say something about planning long term. This seems like a nice dimension to plan things in a long term fashion, right? Not like we're going anywhere.

[There was definitely that smile on his face. Nothing could make this date any better than it already was.]

Great.

[Then a cheeky smile.] Should I be waiting for an engagement ring some time soon?

[He is SO BAD! And she's honestly pleasantly surprised. Most guys can't talk about marriage without turning into a gibbering mess, or flying out the door as fast as their feet will carry them. He's bold. ...She likes that. Raye recovers from her shock, cheeks still hot, and smiles.]

I'll think about it.

[She can at least keep him on his toes. And maybe she really will indulge in a little fantasizing. It can't hurt every now and again.]

[Seeing her shocked expression and the light reddening of her cheeks made him happy. It looks like making her smile and feel this light wasn't impossible after all, and he thinks it's a great achievement. For now, he'll just return the smile.]

Alright. Remember, tradition dictates, it has to be worth one month's pay. You know, the right. And you need to set a formal date for it.

[He grabs his soda and takes a few short sips, before bursting into laughter.] This is the first date. Second date is when you sing for me. Third, is when you propose to me. Understand? [He tried his best to look serious, but it was just too hard.]

What, now you get to decide my future for me? I don't think so.

[Raye flips her hair over her shoulder, and finishes off her slice of pizza. He's such a big goof. But........]

I suppose we could have a second date at the karaoke club.
