genessia | [3] Slightly Accidental Video/Voice - Action if apartment neighbors/buddies!

[She's finally spending time at the apartment that Weiss and Yang were so willing to let her stay in but she also knows she needs to soon find a way to make money to help pay for expenses, food, clothes, books, the works.

Finally coming out of her room in the morning, after a few days of disappearing only to return late at night, she's idly checking her device for any new activity.

Soon she's met with something white....something fluffy...

Something....Yapping. Barking. Coming closer and closer in eagerness.

A DOG?!

Instinct takes over; she drops her device that then turns itself on, video sideways to see her backing up in to the kitchen with the ~~threatening~~ fluffy thing coming at her, barking.

Once she hits the counter she makes a mad scramble up to the top of the fridge in their apartment, practically hissing while trying to shoo it away.]

G-Go on! Get out of here...! How did you even get in to this apartment?

[Are her roommates even there? The little ball of fluff keeps yapping, hopping up on hind legs which pretty much keeps her in place on her perch.] H-Hey!

Will someone please get this thing away from me?!

[ Weiss is still in her pajamas when she hears all the fuss. The yapping is something she's gotten used to, mostly because Frost is highly sensitive to anyone passing near the door of the apartment. Or visible from the window. Or at the window, in some cases. Or the birds that liked to chirp outside of Weiss's window in the morning which was kind of weird, but they seemed like they would probably stop coming soon with how much Frost liked to bark at them. She was starting to get used to sleeping through the barking, so Blake's yelling was really what got her up this time. ]

Blake? What's going on?

[ Weiss doesn't even seem bothered by the presence of the little dog one bit. She's even got a little clicker in her hand actually but she's not using it yet. Honestly, it's just Frost. What's he going to do? ]

[Sun was just about to head out on a job to Fayren and he was checking his device and saw this.]

What the- Blake? What is in your apartment?

[Crouching back, she's hunkered down on her arms and legs while peering over the edge of the fridge before Weiss finally decides to show up.]

What is a DOG doing here?

Is this yours?

Tell it to get away from me!

[Hearing a familiar voice, she tries to peek down at her device that's on the ground but once Frost starts to bark at her again, she pulls back.]

Sun?

I don't know--! I mean- I know it's a dog but why is it here!?

[ Weiss rolls her eyes. ]

Frost, come. [ She clicks the clicker and the little dog comes running over to Weiss's heels, then she picks him up. ]

Blake, he's the size of a shoe and he doesn't bite.

[Oh right. Blake and dogs totally don't get along. He's now remembering their trip to Tokyo and trying not to laugh.] I guess dogs just love following you around, huh?

It doesn't sound very big.

[Ugh thank goodness it wasn't a stray the. But why did she have to get a DOG of all things. Why not...a rabbit or something ~~edible~~ not so loud?]

It's still a dog and they still chase me despite how 'trained' you might think he is.

I wish they wouldn't. There's hardly a good thing that can come from- it.

[Rolls her eyes and gives a shrug before ducking back more against the wall perched on top of the fridge.] Small or not, it's still has teeth and won't be quiet.

He runs up to and barks at everyone, and I am working on training him. He stopped peeing in the corner next to the television already and he knows come and sit. We're still working on manners.

[ In case Blake was wondering why they own a steam vacuum cleaner now.. ]

[Just...kind of stares at her with a look of 'WAT EW' when she mentions that he stopped peeing in the corner.]

Just- how long has he been here?

It might keep you on edge. Help your senses stay sharp.

[But he's pretty sure she could do other things to help with that.]

You need me to rescue you again?

[ At that look, she rolls her eyes. ] I cleaned it up. I got him while you were out with Sun. You really didn't notice until now?

That long ago?!

No I didn't notice him! I've been doing research and would return late at night through my window so I wouldn't disturb anyone.

No wonder he chased you to the fridge, he probably thought you were a burglar.

[ Weiss, that little tiny dog is not a guard dog. She's definitely scratching behind his ear though, whispering cutely at him. ]

Who's my widdle guard dog come to stawp the cat-burgwar?

[Is this really happening?

Is this really going on? Is Weiss really baby-talking that icky thing?]

Don't praise him for barking at me..

In my own apartment though? Should this be my safe haven?

[Sighs, looking over the fridge only to hear that stupid dog bark and yap at her again and again.]

..nng. I might? I don't want to come down from here with that thing still there.

He doesn't know that's what I'm praising him for, he probably thinks it's for coming when I told him to. The books say that they need immediate reaction in order to condition them to certain commands.

[ Weiss is definitely baby-talking that thing. BUt she realizes that this may be a problem. However, she has the easiest solution. ]

I won't complain about you trying to adopt that kid if you accept Frost living with us.

[ Yes, that's right, Weiss is willing to let some strange kid live with them in order to keep her puppy. ]

...You're going to trade- a potentially homeless child for a dog?

[She sighs, because this is probably the best way to go about getting Luke to possibly stay should he ever need sanctuary.

Tipping her head down, she gives it a light bump on the fridge.] Fine. But just- make sure he doesn't touch any of my stuff.

Got it?

Yes, and considering that if we worry about every homeless child around we're going to be running an orphanage, I think that's quite the deal.

[ Weiss turns Frost so that she can pet his belly, cradling him like a baby. ]

I'll get you one of those gates for your room if it becomes a problem, but I doubt it will be. Once he gets used to you being around he'll stop following you and barking. If I'm not here, just put him in my room and close the door. I know for a fact that he's more likely to hide under the furniture and bark than attack anyone, so you really don't need to worry about him.

[She can't help but just squint at her. As a previous orphan, herself, she holds more sympathy for lost children than dogs from a store. But- she doesn't want a fight to break out between them again, after the progress they had made.

Still on the fridge, she shakes her head.]

I refuse to touch that thing but that gate will certainly do wonders.

And I doubt it... Dogs and me have never gotten along. Ever. Even the smallest of them can bite.

When I get through training him you won't have to worry about that.

[ Maybe she should look on the internet and get a bunch of videos of cats and dogs being friends. She knows it can happen. Even if Blake isn't strictly a cat, the dog probably doesn't even care about the difference between a human or a cat or a mailbox. ]

You may not trust dogs, but you can trust me. I won't let him bite you.

Ooooooh PUPPY. Come here puppy! [ Because clearly this is helping. ]

It should be, but apparently dogs like you way too much.

[He shakes his head a little. At least she didn't run around in circles from it.]

Just say the word and I'll come over.

[And now she's just having a conversation with Weiss while on top of the fridge.]

And how long does training take, exactly?

If it's a long while, I might stay with Neptune and Sun until then... to preserve peace.

[Blinking, she hears a familiar voice and tips her head, trying to look at her device but still remaining on the fridge.]
