Video/Live-- first world problems.

[Haruka was staring at a customer, completely unaware that her video had turned on. Said customer must have done something to annoy her because she was just being plain twitchy. Turning back she looked to be making coffee for another set of customers. Working was distracting from the stress she felt from being pulled away from her world and it helped keep her appetite for sweets filled. She nibbled her cheek a bit as she worked not to sigh in front of the customers. She picked up the coffee and walked it over to a set of girls, setting it down and flashing a devilishly charming smile.]

Here is your coffee ladies, please enjoy.

[Charm was one of her strengths. Customer service as far as selling wasn't hard- her charm helped with that. Dealing with it all the time was another matter though. Wiping her hands on her apron, she adjusted her bow tie before leaning forward on the counter and sighing anyway-]

I miss my car.

[She groaned right into the screen, still unaware it was recording....it was her way of saying she missed Michiru, but she'd never say that aloud. Ironically most people here had the same problem with her as they did back home- everyone was convinced she was a man. She didn't mind, she was the one who chose the male uniform anyway- sometimes she was concerned if her boss even knew- the guy was kind of ....an air head. In her opinion. and way too happy all the time. The guy ran on some seriously good happy pills. The bell rang to signal someone new coming in. Haruka zoomed up and knocked her communicator over]

Oh Hello! Wel-....

[The feed cuts]

[[ooc; sorry for the horrible return post haha. Also someone can feel free to be the irritating person in the corner of the shop. Otherwise, hopefully this is response worthy xp. I'm at work and shouldn't be typing hahaha]]

[ Mayu is probably the annoying customer. He simply pointed to item in the menu to order, and thanked her by displaying "ty" in his communication device.He tries to avoid talking whenever possible. He also might look over when Haruka is charming the female customers
She reminds him of the "prince" of his older brother's school( who happens to be female).

[Makes sense, since Haruka would prefer he just speak. Although perhaps he had a speech impediment, but then why couldn't he just do sign language. It was something about the way he went about it. Anyway, she decided to ignore it and walk back to the counter and shove her device in her pocket. Walking back to the man she held a towel over her arm.]

Anything else I can get you?

[She sounded charming and sweet enough]

[ He doesn't like to waste energy, and he was bullied as a kid.Not many people understand sign language. It does bother him a bit that people see him as a man. Sure, he's tall for his age and rather muscular but he's still just a middle schooler.]

[ When Haruka asks if he wants anything else, he shakes his head, then holds up the "ty"]

[She sighs and nods.]

Noooo problem. You should try the sweets though, they are fantastic.

[Tori looks too amused for her own good.]

Coffee and sweets, eh? Sounds like your job is a place I should try out for my coffee fix and a nice treat~ [And take Jeb along, that is. Him and his sweet tooth...] Though you should probably avoid saying you miss your car and groaning like that if you're on the clock.

[She's teasing, but it's a friendly sort of teasing at least.]

[Haruka, clearly moving to the back to go on break looks surprised by the video]

Ah! It was on!?

Looks like it!

[Tori does her best not to laugh, she really does. She sort of feels bad for Haruka, now that she knows it hadn't been an intentional thing. Still...]

I'd say "don't worry, I won't tell," but I'm pretty sure I'm far from the only one who heard that.

[Minako could tell she wasn't happy and she had a little idea as to why. Call it Venus instinct or something...]

Hey, you don't look so chipper? Want to talk about it when you get home?

[Between the over-cheerful boss and the co-worker who playfully flirted with all their female customers, it was a miracle that Haruka had stayed sane. Having not realised that she was female, Zelos hadn't yet given her the same treatment.

Noticing her communicator fall over, he picked it up and offered it back to her once she'd dealt with the new customer.]

You know, the uniforms have pockets for these things.

[ wait, was that haruka? mamoru paused mid step. it didn't occur to him until after he spotted her that he hadn't intended on walking down this street, but he was so used to his feet guiding him in directions he didn't intend to take that he doesn't think much of it anymore. minako had told him she was here, but this was the first time he'd actually spotted uranus's sailor guardian. he stepped into the shop for more than just coffee, catching the tail end of what she was unwittingly saying to the network. ]

I'm sure it misses you, too. [ how does he catch that underlying meaning? maybe because he'd miss his textbooks if he were stuck here without usagi, because he's felt the pain of being separated from her before when she was captured by prince demande and he was stuck waiting at the crystal palace for her inevitable return, powerless to do anything but wait. that literal inability to reach out and touch them, much less see the one you loved, was maddening. ]

[Terra is silently sitting in the corner with a small cup of coffee in her hands and a book in her lap. It is easy for her to tune out the others in the restaurant but the sound of the communicator dropping caused her to jump.

Her coffee spills on her hand, making her yelp out in pain and push her book away from the dark liquid.]

AH!

[ He considers whether he could afford one of a sweets and still leave a decent tip. He does have enough. He types "ok" into the communicator and holds it up. Then he points at the exact item in the menu, a type of cheesecake.

"plz" ]

[Fai had been spending more time than not behind the counter and making sure that the treats were cooked and fresh for when the people ordered them. But for now it was his break as he walked to the front, spotting the other. He was very good at knowing more than he let on, but he always choose to never say what he knew. If they didn't want to speak there was a reason and he respected that... Even more so because there were things even he didn't want to speak about.]

You know if you want to take your break, you can.

Coming right up.

[She nodded and goes over to the sweets to grab that for him. She stops to talk to a couple people on the communicator for no more than a minute before she is back and delivering the cheesecake.]

Oh the house. [She said, trying to apologize for her morose behavior- usually she wasn't this easily offended.]

Oh no....

[She whined.]

At least I didn't say anything embarrassing...

[She perks up and smiled]

Its nothing, and I wont be home till late- you know that.

[But she just shrugs]

I was just a tad tired, thats all.

[She winks to make a point]

[While Haruka worked to charm the ladies just as much as any other- her other co-worker usually received humble conversation and exasperated sighs from Haruka. ...men....]

Yes well...thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

[She said taking it back and watching him. Really they had worked together a lot, seeing as Haruka made it a point to almost never leave until she was kicked out.]

Ah! Mamoru! What are you doing here?!

[Due to most of her days spent in the diner, and the nights spent running and sleeping- she had barely had time to talk with Usagi or Minako despite living only a door down the hall. Really, Uranus was never there. Part of it was because being close to them reminded her of Michiru too much, the other part of her felt slightly guilty for their kindness in putting her up. Though honestly, seeing Usagi usually made her feel better. Minako made her laugh so...she couldn't complain. She always brought home sweets for the girls.]

I....didn't know you were here... [She continued cautiously. More of them were coming. That was both good and bad.]

Does Usagi know?

[Quickly finishing her chat with Zelos- she goes to check on the customer in the corner only to see the spilled coffee. She rushes over with a towel and begins to wipe up the mess]

I'm so sorry, are you alright? Is your hand hurt?

[She- never being really shy- took the hand of the lady to examine it gingerly. Charming it up with genuine concern...]

I'll go get a compress for it.

True enough! It could have been a lot worse. But hey, this experience will help you be careful, right?

[She tries to sound helpful instead of condescending.]

Thanks but I'm fine. Sorry for being on my communicator- I didn't know it was on.

[She said, never liking to take her breaks because honestly- what did anyone do on break anyway? She had a respect for her manager that she couldn't place exactly where it had come from. Maybe it was the way he never asked questions, or his over cheerful (sometimes face palm warranting) disposition...either way. She found the guy pleasing to be around and that-....was somewhat of a rarity.]

It most certainly will...thanks for letting me know..um....

[She bites her lip]

Sorry....what did you say your name was again?

[This was just not a suave conversation on Haruka's part- at all]

...ahaha, I never did.

[Oops? Good going, Tori.]

The name's Tori. Nice to meet you~

[Terra is still hoping her book is okay when the waitress comes over.]

I'm fine.

[Her voice is soft, despite the burning feeling on her hand. She is calm as the woman looks over her burnt hand.]

It will be fine.

[another perk to dressing like a man- always wearing pants. Made movement easier as well as making things handy. She removed her bow tie from around her neck and pressed a cold cloth she gathered from dipping a napkin in a glass of ice water onto her hand. She used the tie to secure it there and she smiled.]

I'll go see if we have any bandaids in the back...wait one moment. [She smiled to the girl]

It's a pleasure Tori....my name is Haruka. Feel free to come to the cafe, I know I haven't done good advertising but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

A-alright...

[Terra nods nervously and lets the girl help. She isn't good at saying no to persistent help.]

It's fine. I admit I am on it sometimes when it isn't very busy.

[Which was true sometimes at least.]

It's an interesting way to talk to people don't you think?

[Men indeed. This man had a reputation of flirting with every single woman in his homeworld (not that he talked about that) and definitely took that up again in full force here, so he was hardly a good example.

Zelos worked four days a week - Monday to Thursday, between 8 and 4 - but never really stayed any longer than he'd agreed to. Laziness definitely won out there.]

So... what's up?

[Not that he actually cared, but considering they were co-workers, he at least pretended to be polite.]

Haruka, huh? That's a nice name. I'll be sure to come to the cafe. I could always use more places to get my coffee from, after all! I'm sure the person I live with will humor me, even if he hates coffee.

[ His eyes widen a bit. He wasn't expecting that, so he's pleasantly surprised. He gives Haruka his most grateful smile. At this moment, she reminds him even more strongly of what he's missing from home, an older person doing something nice for him. He adds a "very much" after the "ty"]

Hey, I'm spending my night watching movies, so I would be up late.

[She had found a good few at least that she was curious enough to watch.]

But if you say your tired then it would mean early night for you when you get home.

[Haruka just takes her communicator and types 'you're welcome' into it before showing it to him and then nodding. She walked away the next minute to leave it to him]

Oh? Is this person you live with more of a tea fan?

[Well....ditching a girl for a movie...now that went against Haruka's style. She smiled]

Whats the play list?

[Inquiring calmly. They really had been super nice to let her stay with them, and she repaid them by being distant and aloof. That was rather rude of her. So Haruka decided to play along.]

Whats ...up?

[Haruka repeated with a bit of odd look towards him.]

Work? Nothing much besides- you know I am here most of the time. You cant have not noticed me until now...

[She said somewhat shortly- though she wanted to correct herself on using the double negative. Still, they were coworkers..and he might have information she did not. It was always good to get intel.]

[After a couple of minutes, Haruka returns in a rush with a band-aid.]

Here, this is all we had- I could wrap it too...though its probably best to keep it under a cool cloth a bit longer.

[Haruka blinked at him- obviously lost over what it was he was referring too. Then she caught up-]

Ah! right..well...we have something similar back home so it just took some getting used too....

I can heal it later. So it's really okay. I'm sorry to cause trouble.

[It is clear that the store is busy.]

You have healing abilities? That is impressive.

[She said, somewhat amazed- smiling and ignoring the other customers. Really they would be fine for one more minute and she wasn't the only one working.]

Y-yes. I'm still learning control though.

[Her cheeks blush slightly as she looks down at her hand. Terra hovers her free hand over the injured area and quickly cast cure. Her hand glowed and that glow seeped into her wound, slowly removing the burn.]

See. I'm alright.

The playlist is a mixture of romance and horror. I'm thinking of starting with a romantic comedy that I found to then watch a horror movie later on at night.

[She wasn't sure why she wanted to watch them, but she did never the less. Maybe it's the scare that she enjoys, who knows.]

You had something back home like this? What was that like?

[While it did seem nosey, he had to admit learning a thing or two about other peoples worlds were quite fun.]

[Zelos raises an eyebrow. Just because he hadn't taken much time to talk to Haruka whilst they'd been working together, didn't mean he hadn't noticed her. Zelos never did pay much attention to men.]

Yeah, course I noticed you before. Hard not to when you're pulling a sour face like that.

[Zelos shrugged.]

Lemme put it another way; Something bugging you?

He is, actually! Usually the sweeter kinds, too. He says coffee's too bitter for him.

[She just barely bites back a comment about how Jeb's fixation with sweet things must come from his sweet personality.]

As for not advertising well enough, don't worry about it. I was a waitress back home, so I know how tough it can get.
