I hope that the new year will be nice for you. Nice and cold that is. After all there is a blizzard about.

Action around Genessia and Attleton
[Icy smiled as she walked around through the blizzard, she was enjoying this a lot. Sure it wasn't part of her big plan but it was just to simply see who was capable of trying to beat her and who wasn't. Basically she wants to see who she would consider a threat and who she could step all over easily.

Now and again she uses her ice magic to free more windows and doors and on the odd occasion event random passers by if she could get to them.]

The Medicine Seller
31 December 2016 @ 07:49 pm
It was cold, but then it had been cold in Japan too. Even if the Medicine Seller was capable of registering that level of discomfort it wouldn't have been a shock. It wasn't even really fair to call his reaction to the sudden change in his surroundings a shock.

.... Was safe to say he wasn't happy though. Blizzard or not, he wasn't staying in the bay, and despite the storm, soon the colorful figure was wandering through the streets, seemingly unbothered by the sheer strength of the blizzard itself. Actually he seemed more vaguely annoyed by it than actually hampered, occasionally going to play with the communicator he'd arrived with.

The way he treated it seemed to be a mixture of irritation and fascination, having to constantly take breaks from trying to operate it as he constantly seemed to grow weary of attempting to make it do something he wanted it to.

Technology is dumb.

At some point, however, he can be spotted taking refuge, if one could call it that, inside a bus stop, neatly perched on the bench next to the medicine box and toying with the communicator again, almost boredly fiddling with the buttons even as a particularly vicious blast of wind ripped through the street.

Yeah okay, that's cool and all but he wants to know how this stupid cellphone works.

ACTION: Phantomhive Manor Subarchway

[ It's been some time since she's encountered Battler, some time since she reunited him with Terra. Even now it still seems like a blur, one that nauseates her and makes her feel like her head is about to explode.

It's with the thought that no one will look for her in Everglade that draws her to it, but even there it is still bitterly cold. The only shelter she can find is trudging into a subarchway, exhausted by the time she seats herself outside an elaborate gate. Not only exhausted, but cold, weak, and bewildered.

There's a lot she can say about what's happened, and yet at once there's nothing at all. She's swimming in her own mind, nearly drowning and failing to notice anyone around her now that she's sitting there and at rest. The fact that she keeps going over what happened and can find no answers is what's most prevalent right now. ]

Theodore (Ted) Satchel
The great majority of people will go on observing forms that cannot be explained; they will keep Christmas Day with Christmas gifts and Christmas benedictions; they will continue to do it; and some day suddenly wake up and discover why."

-G. K. Chesterton

[The feed opens to reveal a colorfully dressed blonde man in a quiet part of the park, snow lightly falling in an otherwise quiet winter wonderland.]

"Good morning, everyone. From speaking with a great many of you on Christmas, it seems many did not know what made that particular holiday especially holy. Let's have enlightenment; that is, scripture. Ahem.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

To understand that light, you must first understand the darkness preceding it. Cruelty, oppression, murder, and so on. In a word, sin, which most sensible people can find about them and, more distressingly, in them. And mankind wondered when, if ever, they'd be free of it and be able to unite once again with that light. How might man, having fallen, rise again to God?

God's answer, per usual, is very poetic. He would meet man on his own level, and condescend unto him. The Word would become flesh; God would become man, that is, Christ. The world was granted a savior, and tidings of great joy for the redemption he would bring about through his conquer of sin and death. Hah, it's almost vulgar! God descends from his heavenly abode to come into a lowly manger and meager birth. Bless him for it; who could ask for a Savior any other way?

That will do for an upshot. Thus, Christmas is a recognition for the greatest gift of all: the Son of God, and through him, the gift of salvation to all who believe in his name. A very fine gift I'd like to give to all of you. Indeed, I should like to personally baptize every one of you desperate sinners, convert you to Christianity, and see you off personally to the kingdom of heaven.

Hah, not asking for too much, I hope. Well, should any of you like to speak with me about that, I'll be glad to converse and answer questions of faith as best I can. In the meantime, Merry Christmas everyone. May you all come to light and life."

[Action]
[Ted will go around in both gay apparel and manner, blood aflame with the true meaning of Christmas, preaching much the same to every city in Genessia. He lacks both a soapbox and a signboard, but he'll spread the gospel anyway for about an hour for every one. Everglade gets two, for obvious reasons. If you want to meet him in a 3D context, you know who to look for.]
