Yagami Hikari

[There is a slight shuffling of the screen before it steadies itself, and an out-of-focused shot of Hikari before she backs up a little, taking a seat just in time for the lens to catch up with her movement.  She is smiling, and there is a piece of paper on a small table in front of her.]

Hello, everyone.   I was hoping I could ask for a little help with one of my assignments.

I'm creating a photojournal of many of these pokemon wandering around, with a caption for each picture I add...and I've been struggling to come up with something good for this one.

[At this point, she holds up the previously unseen picture that had been laying face-down:]

Any suggestions?

Theta! Get away from that computer, we don't need a repeat of last time!

[A certain red-haired scientific genius comes running into screen. Or, what might be on screen if her device wasn't currently being chewed on by one of her Pokemon. It's hard to tell which one from this angle. But, what can be seen is her holo-computer being prodded at by a very peculiar pokemon.

At some point, Washu managed to capture a Porygon and they were...getting used to each other.

Somewhere in the background, her Braixen is lounging on the couch in her nice apartment in Nova City, just idly playing with his stick and watching the petite red-head  encase the porygon in some sort of forcefield that was throwing off sparks as they had a little bit of a show down. One Washu easily won several moments later when the Porygon relented and turned its back on her. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair.]

Maybe I should have named you Ryoko instead of Theta.

[It's about that time she realizes her device is being used as a chew toy and sighs as she walks over and saves it from some unknown mouth.]

With so many mouths to feed, I might need to find a job sooner than later. Anyone know if there's a need for scientists or professors anywhere?

Gwen Stacy
Who: Gwen Stacey/Peter Parker, Gwen Stacey/Video for All
When: July 12th
Where: The Bay, Nova City, Exploring everywhere.
What: Spider-Teens invading your peaceful world, sorry folks!

Gwen was on her way home from Miles world. She was going to see her brothers and her father and her New York. Right? That's where she was supposed to be headed. Right back to her world, where she was the one and only Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Woman, she was Gwen Stacey, drummer in The Mary Janes. Daughter of Captain Stacey, sister to Howard and Phillip and Simon.

None of this...literally NONE of it...had anything to do with waking up in a strange pod, with a weird necklace and weird, red money in an envelope. Her knee connects to the inside of the pod, waking with a start before it's even open and as she holds her knee for a moment, eyes closed tight as she hisses slightly, she gets that jolt.

That electricity down the spine feeling of another Spider-Person around. So, ignoring her knee pain and leaving her smart-phone and other fun consolation prizes in the pod for now, she climbs out a bit unsuccessfully. She's beauty and she's grace, she almost fell right on her face. Blame some severe disorientation at the whole situation, okay? She's usually a lot better about this kind of thing.

But that buzz keeps going and Gwen is grateful she's in her Spider-Suit, webshooters fixed firmly to her wrists. Who knows who put them in this situation? Who even knows if this other Spider-type is even remotely friendly? Keeping the mask of her suit firmly in place, hood drawn up, she follows her spider sense to a second pod in the room, one that's just starting to open.

"Oh...kay. This is a little too Aliens for me. Please do not...be that." For an old, old movie, it sure still creeped her out when she thought about it.

[Video - Several Hours Later: OTA (also open for action!)]

[ Gwen wouldn't call herself settled in. Nor would she say she feels too comfortable with this situation. The only reason she delayed so long in even getting this video out is because she was waiting for the return of the Glitches. These horrible moments where, when one is in the wrong universe, every cell in ones body gets Big Mad and tries to return home. Unfortunately, they cannot. Fortunately, there hasn't been a one so Gwen Stacey, just your average teen girl in a black tank top and denim short shorts, blonde hair a bit windswepped and wavy, side shave no older than a couple days or so and jewelry in her right eyebrow catching the sun, has seated herself on a park bench somewhere in Nova City. She has a backpack next to her that's zipped up tight, a journal and pen lying on top. And there's a soda and a bag of chips nearby, both of which she picks at as she talks. It's been a long day. She deserves the snack, okay? ]

Hi, uh...everyone. I'm Gwen. I'm from New York. Loving your city, I'm sure. It's been a real pleasure so far.

[ She doesn't 100% sound like it's been a real pleasure. And she's not smiling too much. It's not a look of resignation entirely? But there's clearly some small part of her brain that has 'F*** this shit, I'm out." playing on repeat in her head.

Listen, I'm just here to try to find a job for now. I'm a trained dancer, been dancing since I was three. I play the drums, and that I've been doing for almost as long as dancing. I'm an artist, I'm super organized. I worked at a coffee shop for a few months back home, so I have experience there.

Really, really leaning towards music and dance for employment, but for now I guess I can't be too picky, huh?

Just let me know if you have anything, okay? I'll come to you for a face-to-face interview. If I'm stuck here, and I'd greatly rather not be, but if I am...I gotta take care of myself somehow, right?

[ And that's the end of her video. She's going to stop recording now, waving slightly beforehand before closing and waiting for replies. ]

[ Really, Gwen? Really? That's how you're gonna be, huh? ]
