[Rikku may or may not have appeared to be taking her job as Deputy Guardian seriously, but she was most definitely serious about it. When it came to helping Yuna out and lightening the load, she was all over it. Especially concerning those recent rumors going around her and the other Guardians. Sure, she made it a habit to steal and pick pocket, true to her nature, but never in Everglade.

What's surprising here is that not only has she not pick pocketed from anyone this entire time... She's also wearing more clothing for once. Since apparently she can't get away with her beach attire right now, she's wearing warmer clothing from the shopping trip with Yuna the last time she complained about the weather. She's even wearing a long peacoat and a scarf as usual. The different thing here is that... the scarf she was wearing wasn't her normal scarf. She was also wearing a warm hat that she'd gotten from a certain somebody for Christmas. Since she couldn't wear the hair with her hair in her normal ponytail, she wore it down; although she still had her braids in.

Along side of her was a small yellow mouse following her. She could hardly let Sparke freeze, so she's given him a scarf that resembles her usual scarf and a matching hat that took her a while to make to fit his ears. She was busy patrolling to fulfill her duty as Yuna's Deputy. Hearing her small pet's stomach she gave him a smile. Kneeling down to him..]

We have been out for a while... How about we get something to eat?

[Sparke seemed to respond in agreement as she offered to pick him up. As he crawled into her arms, she picked him up and started towards the closest food location. To be honest, Rikku was a little hungry herself and it was a little cold.

OOC: You can either catch her patrolling or at the restaurant. Either way, she'll be around Everglade to keep order and peace.]

[If she looks very closely into the window of a restaurant, she might be able to spot Gippal sitting inside. It was his day off of work and he was coming to Everglade to possibly bug Rikku or Yuna, but it was so damn cold outside that he had to stop and go into a restaurant to get warmed up.

Of course once he was inside he decided it might not be such a bad thing to get something to eat as well. So he ordered a cup of hot cocoa and was now looking over the menu for something that he wanted to eat.]

[Rikku didn't notice Gippal at first. In fact, it wasn't until she entered the restaurant that she noticed him sitting there.]

Gippal? Fryd yna oui tuehk rana?

[And Sparke isn't exactly trying to leave her arms, but he's wiggling a little to look to the person she was talking to.]

[Gippal looks up as soon as he hears her speak. Well, looks like she found him before he found her. He opens his mouth to speak by pauses for a second. Then a smile slowly comes to his lips.]

[She was surprised and then slightly flustered. That's right... She was wearing his gifts... Little did he know she was also wearing the socks under her boots... Holding Sparke a little tighter, but not too tight, he looked up to her and then to Gippal; She had to stay mindful that she had a small creature in her hands that could electrocute her if she wasn't careful.]

Dryd'c dnia. Pid fru ghaf oui fuimt fayn dras cu vycd. Fruajan puikrd dras vun oui ryc kuut dycda. [Because of course Gippal would compliment himself where he could. Though he honestly did think Rikku looked nice in the scarf and hat. He even noticed that she had her old one on Sparke.

He gave the mouse a little wave.]

[Gippal... Never misses a chance to compliment himself... Technically it wasn't her old scarf on Sparke since he had a matching one to hers. But she did take him up on the offer, going to sit down across from him as Sparke sat next to her.]

You get done with work already?

It's my day off. I was going to come here to.. [Pay her a visit.] Walk around and explore. [A lie.] But it's so damn cold outside. I had to stop in here, even if just for a short while.

Well... Ironically enough, Sparke and I got got hungry after patrolling for a while. [And after a pause.] But since I'm here, how about you pay me back for covering you when you first got here.

You sure you want to count this as payback? I was planning to take you out to dinner instead.

[A possible ~~not!date~~ free dinner...? A possibly FREE expensive one? Hell yeah!]

Mm... No, I'll take the dinner over this. But you know... I'm pretty hungry, so maybe we could so somewhere nicer.

[Since you came all this way.]

[..He didn't say anything about expensive. Then again, he also didn't set a price either.]

We can do that. Do you know a good place?

[You should know by now that she'll take advantage of it if she can.]

Yeah, there's one not too far away.

[Near by was good, he didn't want to stand out in the cold for too long.]

Then let's get a move on. [He says as he stands up and motions for her to do the same.] Do I have to buy Sparke something too?

[Moving out of her seat just like that, she glanced to Sparke to offer if he wanted to hop in her arms again. After scooping him up, she turned towards him.]

Mm.... He doesn't eat too much, at the very least.

[He especially liked apples.]

[He sighs a little and he leans close to the little thing.]

I expect a cheek kiss at the end of the night, just so you know. [He pats it on top of the head.]

[It could be that Gippal was a little too close to Sparke... or the comment about the kiss, but his little cheeks started to spark a little bit until Rikku pet him on the head gently as if to say to calm down.]

I'll think about it.

[Gippal doesn't care about personal space..but maybe he should in this case. He leans back and then motions for Rikku to lead.]

[He should care, because being shocked isn't much fun. But with that, she's already leading the way as they leave the warmth of the restaurant. Not too far away, they arrive to the one she had in mind.

At least it wasn't the most expensive one? ~~But it's still pretty expensive~~]

[He looks up to the building and then to Rikku.]

This place isn't too pricy, is it?

Mm... Not really.

[Just a little bit.]

If I break the bank taking you out on a nice dinner, Rikku, you're never going to hear the end of it. [He starts to walk inside.]
