[Karla clears her throat, quite nervous as she begins her feed. She's never done a request like this before, as she has no idea what will come of it.]

Attention, Genessia...

My name is Karla, and I work at the Cistaceae Café, located in the Strip Mall in Genessia City. The café was owned by Kodachi...but I haven't seen her in a while. I don't even know if she's around anymore. I don't know how to run the café without her...

So my question is...is there anyone who knows how to keep a business running?

About a month ago I recently spoke with Luke, a recent proprietor of "Tiny Teas". He has an impressive degree of business acumen for one so young; you might seek him out.

I know how to run an inn, which while it isn't a cafe is still a business never the less. The basics are the same either way.

[She felt like it would be a good idea to help at least.]

I assume you ask because you've never ran a business before?

[He had considered opening up a store himself, but never really knew the first thing one would have to do.]

Why, at Tiny Teas of course! Unless you are a very competitive businessman, a rival, who would not stand to patronage the enemy.

But if your position is less fiercely competitive, here is his address. *gives*

I think the only difference between working as a waitress and running a business is the fiancé of things, I think. That and buying things the place might need.

[That's at least all he has learnt from watching his grandfather, but he doubts that is all there is to it.]

I could be wrong though on that aspect.

O-Oh! [She wasn't sure what to say about that.] I thought you wanted someone to teach you how to run a business. I mean I could help run it until you learn if you would like, but I also have an inn to run here.

That's terrible! Bothering is the essence of life, madame. Why, I'm bothering you right now, and because of that this blessed conversation is blossoming right in front of us!

Plus, I'm sure he'd be flattered. Don't tell him I said this, but I've sensed a pervasive bit of melancholy in our conversations. Knowing that he was desired for consultation ought to boost his spirits.

You are more amenable to bothering, true, but I'm confident I'll annoy you one day. It's become something of a signature.

As for this Luke creature, I'd hardly like to spoil. He is fond of puzzles, though nothing too abstract. If you can think of a clear-cut riddle, that would earn you his favor.

Finance. It means the money side of things. The owner usually has to deal with the money side of things as far as I am aware.

[He knows his grandfather has to, but never really asked about it.]

It isn't that hard. I mean it might take a while, but once you learn you can do quite well.

You can, of course.

I might be able to help. I am the heiress to a large company and I run the Schnee Company Welcoming Center here in Genessia.

Well hey, it's been ages my dark haired beauty~ How are you?

[With all the disappearances lately, it was nice to see an old, familiar face around here.]

...Yes, I believe Kodachi disappeared a little while ago.

[Midboss gave a heavy sigh. Kodachi had become like a daughter to him in the time that she was in Genessia, and her disappearance hit him hard.]

I'm afraid I do not have much skill with business, but if there is anything else I can do to assist you, then please let me know.

[Oh. He never did introduce himself, did he?]

A-ah, how rude of me. I am Vyers, City Guardian of Attleton.

Aw, you've forgotten about me already? I'm hurt, hunny.

[Epic whining right here. It has been 6 months, Zelos.]

We met when I first got here. It's Zelos. Zelos Wilder.

Yes...unfortunately, it seems to be a common occurrence here. People disappear, and, as far as I understand, return to their homes as suddenly as they first arrived in Genessia.

[He wanted to help, really. If just for Kodachi's sake.]

A pleasure to meet you, Karla.
redsnowangel: (Well hey there)

Gimmie a sec... huh. Must've been about 7 months now, I think?

[Wow, took you long enough to remember that one.]

Aw, don't give me that look, how could I stay mad at someone as lovely as you?
