Since the world had turned into an enchanted forest, Betelgeuse had found himself in the role of the Pied Piper! He assumed so, anyway, given the pipe he was suddenly able to play. He was grateful that at least part of his outfit had retained his black and white stripes. He was wearing clothes that wouldn't be out of place in the fourteenth century and he couldn't say he'd missed the fashions of those times.

Betelgeuse couldn't decide if he was angry or delighted.

On the one hand, he felt much more alive than he usually did and he enjoyed the music making. Also, controlling people with a pipe was great fun! Ohhh, Betelgeuse just loved fun and games. On the other hand, he really preferred it, when the fun and games were aimed at other people. He'd had no say in his alteration and it irked him, greatly.

Well, he would just take it on other poor slobs!
