Izumi has yet to find a job that would make great use of her Spirit World Warrior skills, and one that actually interests her. But a certain bounty from the newspaper caught her curiosity, as it feel much closer to the kind of things she hunts back home. Even if this turns out to just be a walk in the park, the thrill of the chase is enough to relieve Izumi of her extra free-time. Getting the green light from the other ghosts of the Everglade, Izumi gets to work in hunting these culprits down.

The Warrior could be found in two different places at different times:

At the Rabbit's Foot shop to ask for a good way for these ghosts to come to her. Because while this case feels similar to youmu hunts, these ghosts aren't the same as youmu for her to detect as accurately. While the shopkeeper was away at the back, Izumi browsed the store's strange products. The row of crystal accessories on a secluded corner drew her in. Some were kind of pretty, she admits to herself, and wouldn't mind buying them if she could afford to. However, when Izumi touched one of the gems, it burned the skin on her fingertips. She gasped and dropped the dense crystal on the floor and looked at her hand that was healing... Whatever crystal that one was for, it must have sensed the youmu in her. Anyone with keen spiritual senses close to the shop would have felt that reaction from the stone.

Later, Izumi was investigating the most spiritually concentrated neighborhoods of the city, patrolling the streets of Everglade and on high alert for any inhuman movement. She has her naginata out and ready to point it at anyone and anything that comes nearby. Izumi is heading to where the Halloween party reportedly took place 10 years ago, and where the "ghostbusters" have died.

Kazuya had taken an interest in the bounty as well, having plans to capture one of the ghosts and see if he could find some way of reliably controlling the Devil Gene that the ghost could unlock. He was stalking the area around where the party was supposed to have taken place as well, forgoing his normal fighting gi for a simple button front purple shirt and slacks loose enough to not constrict his movement. From a distance, he'd likely stand out in the dark as his red eye glowed softly as he scanned the streets.

Izumi lands softly on the ground in front of the former property, like a gust of wind out of nowhere. There she saw the red-eyed stranger stalking the burned down house, the same person she sensed a few blocks away. He's human in appearance, but Izumi initially thought he wasn't from sensing his energy from afar.

"You're here for the bounty as well? I was told to be the only person who took it"

Kazuya glances to the side, noting Izumi as she addresses him, but doesn't really pay too much attention to her. Instead he goes back to inspecting the property as he speaks.

"I have no interest in the bounty itself. What I'm after is something... different. Not even sure I'll find what I want. If it's the monetary reward you're concerned with, I have no interest in it. You can claim that in full for all I care."

Blunt and wastes no time. She can get along with this man, unless he showed more traits that could change her mind. Izumi glanced around, trying to sense the spiritual energy around them a little more closely.

"Very well. I should lea--"

Just when Izumi was speaking, a shriek in the distance and a sudden spike of spiritual activity distracted her. She turned sharply toward the direction of where she sensed it.

"Excuse me."

Izumi leaped forward, utilizing her speed to reach the spot. She leaves not knowing Kazuya would follow and keep up with her. If he did, she'd be impressed

Kazuya doesn't have the same kind of speed Izumi has, though he's far more agile than a man of his build would likely be assumed to have. However, what he doesn't have in speed, he more than makes up for in stamina. Once he catches up to her, he won't show the slightest sign of exertion, as if the run had been as strenuous as walking to a coffee machine.

"Any idea what caused that?" He takes a moment to size up Izumi, taking note of her stance and form, adding the speed she showed to the mix. She definitely had talent.

Izumi looked behind her to see Kazuya catch up without a bead of sweat on his face. He looks powerful, and Izumi already feel he was someone worthy of her respect as a warrior. She turned her attention back to where the scream came from before responding.

"It's them. The target" Izumi bluntly puts. More screams came from the same general vicinity, and it took Izumi a couple of seconds to pinpoint where they were exactly. There were too many spirits in the area, which could be why these 'Ghostbusters' were here.

"That brick apartment building with a playground. They're there" Izumi spun her naginata before making a dash towards the building where bright lights were flashing from inside the top floor.

Kazuya once again followed, still looking fresh for a fight, should one happen. Before they make their confrontation though he has to ask something.

"What do you plan to do with them once you confront them? If at all possible, I would like to contain at least one. There are matters I would speak with it about. Of course, once my purpose is fulfilled, it would be yours to do with as you see fit."

"My mission is to eliminate them and make sure they never harm the ghosts of this place anymore" Izumi looked to her side while they both jump from roof to roof to get to the apartment building. "But if containing one is what you want, I can help you with that.

Kazuya is pretty lucky, this is someone who is an expert at create cages to trap supernatural entities with. Izumi reached the building and made one final leap, using her naginata to break the windows and make a dynamic entry.

The Ghostbusters where indeed there, with their once human faces obscured by a fog-like aura surrounding them. The ghosts inside the abandoned building were in a panic, flying around the vacant rooms like loose cannonballs.

Once they were interrupted, the hostile ghosts have split up. It was like they could sense something from these two living humans that they felt the need to take it away from them.

"They're running away, but they can't escape this building" Izumi created a barrier around the building with no effort, making sure they are alone here until she got her prize.

Kazuya peered at the obscured figures, face falling as she explains their geographic limitations. Of course, he was unaware of Izumi's abilities, and assumed they were somehow bound to this building. His eye shown a crimson red for half a second as he clenched his fists, what appeared to be lightning crackling around them.

"If they cannot leave, then tell me. Can they at least be affected by physical beings?"

The panicking spirits flew outside the windows, only to be blocked by an invisible barrier. This fact was noticed by Izumi's targets, so they have no choice but to take a stand. The "Ghostbusters" moved around and hid behind cover, moving tactically and planning on attacking the two powerful warriors from the side.

"No, but I can sense you possess a power that can affect them" Izumi collapsed her spear, holding it on both end like two swords.

The ghostbusters made their move, attacking Izumi and Kazuya from the side and from behind. Two had moved toward each fighter. One acted as a decoy to distract them, while the second fired up what looked like a proton pack.

Izumi attacked the one charging their weapon first, slicing the barrel of the weapon with one blade and going for the kill with the other. She glanced back to see how Kazuya is doing.

"Fair enough."

Kazuya spun, sending a fist at the assailant behind him, followed by a kick, and a flurry of attacks. However all of them simply passed through the ghost. The butt of the proton pack connected with his jaw before a blast hit him in the chest. After a rather bestial roar, a crimson beam shot from Kazuya's forehead as a third eye opened, finally dealing some damage to the spirit.

"The hell are these weapons they're carrying?" Whatever they were they packed a punch. The kind that the Devil Gene didn't take kindly to. Something he could potentially use...
