Has anyone used the Dream Dock before and literally took a small coma with nothing to show for it?

[ She's so mad. She feels like she's wasted time, especially since the only reason she went to the Dream Docks was to see if maybe she could get some more information on Mercury or Torchwick. She hadn't let anyone know except for the few people she needed to and she trusted, since at a time like this? Going to sleep with a severe lack of guard was probably a terrible idea. ]

Also, I have no idea what's going on. I come back and Nova City's practically gone under. It looks like someone's taking care of that at least, but I wasn't gone that long. Did I miss anything else important?

It's getting warm in some of the archways and I think it's about time we went to the beach to relax before the next disaster strikes.

Thanks for looking over the company while I was gone. I was thinking of having a company picnic sometime once Nova City clears out and we can open the Nova City office. I can handle most of the planning, but I'd appreciate any input you might have.

What do you think of Sen Kurosawa? [ That would be the name Izanami is employed under, of course. ] She was somewhat suspicious when I first hired her, but that was before all of this started so I didn't think too much of it, but I'd rather not get stabbed in the back again. Figuratively or otherwise.

Whatever's going on with Nova City seems like it has probably created a good time to get those cameras we talked about up without being detected. I was trying to find out what was going on in Nova City briefly and heard some kind of strange telepathic message and it sounds like Genessia's guardian will be out too, so security should be lower all around. It might be the best time to get all of the archways, not just Nova City. Does tonight sound acceptable?

Using the Dream Docks seems to be entirely useless right now, but that doesn't mean I can't learn something new that I can try to throw them off with. Do you think you could teach me how to do stealth things? It seems to be something our teams are.. lacking, so at the very least, I think it could be beneficial.

[ he's utterly relieved to hear from her, and is kind of glad that the lack of a video feed doesn't betray him to it. she might've let him know where she was going, but after what happened with roman, he couldn't help but allow that paranoid voice in the back of his mind whisper worries that had him ditching some of his deputy guardian duties in order to stop by the docks and make sure she was really still there and hadn't been taken again. zuko wouldn't be negligent and allow political affairs to tear his attention away from those he cared about.

I can do that. Are you still at the Docks?

[ Weiss almost immediately recalled the last time he picked her up at the docks. Which was admittedly a better awakening and she really should've just asked him to do that every time- it certainly would've softened the annoyance at the fact that she just spent over a week sleeping for nothing. ]

I'm not so eager to complain that I had to post the second I got out of the docks. [ Well she was eager, but not that eager. ] I went home and got cleaned up. It's difficult to take a bath when you're not conscious. I'm at home.

[ She especially wouldn't ask him to help her train without being cleaned up, even if she knew that Zuko wouldn't care. ]

You could've sent me a text when you woke up. I would've walked you home.

Aren't you normally at work around this time?

[ he would've left to get you, weiss. especially after what happened last time you were gone for this long. ]

[ the way he says it just about answers everything she needs to know. If it wasn't voice he could have see her rolling her eyes in the most affectionate way one can roll her eyes. ]

[ he doesn't respond, hanging up in favor of finding someone to cover his duties for the rest of the day. once that's taken care of, he heads out. it's not long before he's knocking on her front door, still wearing what he'd had on at the office. ]

[That voice...sounded familiar. It takes Athrun a moment to figure it out, but he realizes it's the same voice as that of the girl in the recording.

With that in mind, Athrun turns on his video feed. He doesn't feel the need to be cautious with her, given the lengths to which she's gone to welcome newcomers. Even if she was driven by profit or positive PR, he feels he has nothing to lose by contacting her.]

Not...exactly? I'm new here, so I haven't had the chance. But I've definitely made commitments with nothing to show for them.

Anyway, you're Weiss Schnee, I presume? My name is Athrun Zala. Do you mind if I ask you some questions?

[ Him hanging up to handle business she expected. Him coming and actually knocking on the door, however, was a little stranger. She even took the time to check through the peep hole to see who it was, then when she unlocked and opened the door she gave him a look. ]

What are you doing at the front door?

[ They're a part of it, but Weiss is, rather fortunately, one of the few people in her family who actually wants to do the right thing. He's in good hands. Even if said hands are, admittedly, fairly snippy sometimes. You know, once she's not trying to be good at her job. For the moment, she'll be at least polite. ]

I take it you've seen the welcome message. What can I help you with?

[Hey Wiess didja miss your reptillian employee? If not, well too bad, here she is, looking more tired and more pleased than you've ever prolly seen her given the big dopy grin on her face. Just ignore the smoking robot husks behind her....please?]

Hey Boss. Ya missed all the fun, yeah?

I think you are right. [With the craziness going on, he hadn't even considered putting up the cameras. But there would hardly be a better time than now.] I can take care of getting them all up if you don't want to be seen doing it.

[He's not really bad at sneaking around, either. So he probably stands the best chance of not being seen.]

[ Why would she ignore that? That's impressive. It isn't like Weiss isn't a huntress ~~in training~~ back home. ]

With nothing to show for it, too. [ Huff. ]

I think we should put a couple extra in Nova City. Armin said that was where he was taken. We still need to monitor the other archways to watch for Torchwick, but I'm fairly certain we'll find Mercury in the Nova City archway.

I would appreciate that. I bought the cameras with cash, by the way, and used the outfit that Neptune got for me when he was starting his fashion business. With my hat up in a hat, so, anyone trying to figure out who bought them shouldn't have much luck. I'm telling Zuko though.

[Athrun himself is no stranger to being in her general situation, either, at least when it comes to being the white sheep in a family of black sheep, so to speak. He'll definitely appreciate the politeness for now...though he'll snark right back if she ever gets snippy with him.

[Her image bolts off screen as her body flies off to the side. After some time and some metal crunching, her returns, a bot arm being tossed to the side]

[ Unless she's got a reason not to go on video, if the person replying to her replies with it, she'll generally switch. It's just more convenient. ]

A year and a month. It varies drastically for different people. Sometimes a week or two, sometimes years.

[ he didn't want her to think he was torchwick, taking advantage of her possible disorientation after being at the dream docks for so long. maybe he was just being paranoid, but he still felt bad about having taken so long to notice she was missing last time. she doesn't know it, but he checked on her frequently to make sure she was still sleeping and not being held hostage again. ]

Can I come in?

[ Weiss moves out of the doorway so he can come in, holding the door open for him. ]

Obviously. I'm not going to be startled by you coming in through the window, that's where I expect you to come in. Though if you want to start using the door I won't complain.

[ She says the last part teasingly. ]

[ Weiss waits somewhat impatiently for Adeline to finish. It isn't like she doesn't understand the need to make sure they're all down. It could be dangerous if they weren't, after all. ]

It's Torchwick, and no. I remember waking up to get a drink of water, and that's about it. A minute of memory for all of that!

[ Wait, port? Weiss raises an eyebrow. ]

You're not going to just get out on your own?

Ehhh, didn't seem much of a torch to me, if ya know what I mean, Boss. [She laughs, obviously constrained for her boss' sake. She thought her horrible jokes were hilarious]

Well I could but I don't want ta be breakin' the power plant. Sides ain't the first time I've had ta wait for a porte out. At least I ain't fightin' while I'm waiting. [Her expression goes pained for a second before she shakes her head, putting on the most obvious masking smile] So it could be worse, yeah?

[Thirteen months...that's quite a while. And there are people who've been here longer? Athrun hopes he won't be stuck for that long.]

There are people who've been here longer? What's the longest time spent here you know of?

I don't know, my boyfriend lit him up pretty well when they met.

[ Weiss doesnt know if Adeline has met Zuko or not, so the firebending joke she made in return might not be as appreciated. ]

I suppose you're right. Causing more damage than necessary wouldn't reflect well on anyone who helped.

Of the people I know personally, that would be Sun Wukong.

[ There are others who have been here longer still, probably, but she doesn't know him very well. ]

I can do that. I'll just have to place them around to cover a wider range. [He's been through the archways enough to know what spots might have a good vantage point. Thing is, that might be a bad location to put them because someone might check there because of that fact. So putting them around in different spots might be for the best.]

You can tell Zuko. I know he is trustworthy. Just make sure he doesn't tell anyone. [He assumes Zuko will know why this is important, though, and why it needs to be kept on the down low.] You can tell the rest of your team too. I'd tell Neptune but he's sort of..gone.
