The monsters that Zeref was facing down definitely weren't heeding any warnings sent their way. There was a pack of them, smaller, quadripedal and covered in bristly, flat hairs with razor edges to them.

Ignoring the dangerous energies swirling around him, they crouched down, preparing to strike... when they noticed the blonde girl joining in. Without so much of a signal, the pack split, a few of them leaping into the air at Zeref while the others circled around to make a beeline straight for Lucy.
