[Since the loud cracking sounds run through Everglade, Zelos' first response was to peer out the window to see what was going on.

It was then he saw the spirits descending.

His skin paled immediately. Whatever that was, he wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. Maybe if he skipped town, he'd be able to get out of this mess. First of all, though, he wanted to make sure Ishtar was safe.

So with that, he'll be running down the hall to knock on her door.]

Yo, Ishtar-hunny, we might wanna run.

[Video, locked to Fai]

[Regardless of how the talk with Ishtar goes, Zelos opens up a video call to Fai as he's running for the Archway.

If Fai was in a safe place, he could nag him for shelter until this mess got sorted. Otherwise, he'd try and protect the both of them. Like hell he was letting those two get hurt.]

Yo. Everglade's gone to Hell.

How're you holding up? Genessia safe?

[Video, locked to Tori, Colette, Flonne, Haruka, Mikasa, Muse, Pidonus, David, Weiss.]

[The most important people already warned, he figured he should at least check on the handful of people who were vaguely on his radar - at least, the ones who's deaths would leave a bad taste in his mouth.

Once he'd got well out the way to safety, he fired off a quick video.]

Guys, might want to avoid Everglade and Genessia city. Things've gone to Hell here.

[Well, he warned them. That made it no longer his problem.]

Genessia is the same as Everglade. I'm thinking of maybe heading to Nova City. Seems like that place isn't going to hell.

[It'd be obvious from the way the feed was bouncing around that Zelos was running as he spoke.]

Not yet. I have no idea what these things are, so the best any of us can really do is hope to come up with something on the fly until we better understand them.

I know... There's more people at stake, too.

I'm going to try and help. I... I have to. I think.

Thankfully, I know how to take care of myself at least.

[Even if that means avoiding the situation and just grabbing Sakura and headed to Nova City right off the bat. He had to make sure she was okay since she wasn't a fighter at all. He couldn't help but notice he was running and he figured he was still in Everglade.]

Do you need help? Don't want anything to happen to my favourite person after all.

[Zelos glanced behind him. At least he'd lost the worst of them. It would be quicker if he just used his angelic powers to help him get out of there of course, but he'd been far to careful about keeping that hidden until now, so he wasn't in any hurry to reveal it. Not yet.

'Favourite person', though? That was enough to make Zelos blush. He didn't entirely believe him, of course, especially now that Sakura had just arrived. Surely someone from his homeworld was more important, right?]

You're such a tease, Fai-hunny~ Are you really that worried about me?

[He chuckled, perhaps letting himself get a little hopeful. Maybe, just maybe, Fai really did worry about him.]

Lemme see how it goes. Near the Archway here, then just gotta get through Genessia. That's the worst bit. How bad's it there?

Damnit... looks like I need to evacuate Jeb and Solaris, then. [She doesn't want Jeb to get involved with this, and Solaris losing consciousness at a time like this would be catastrophic.] So, what are you planning to do?

[She smiles a little. It's nice that Zelos is considerate enough to warn her. Still...]

Thank you for warning me, Zelos. But... I think I want to stay behind and help as much as I can.

Yeah...that sounds kinda risky. Gonna guess it'll need more than just brute force to sort out, though.

To be honest, doubt there's much I can do to help, so I'm just getting out of this mess.

[That was only half true. He probably could do more, but he wasn't about to try.]

Well, Nova City's clear, so I'm pretty much gonna stick around here until this mess is sorted out.

[Awkward awkward awkward. Why did he think warning her was a good idea? It apparently never struck him that he'd have to actually talk to her after he left the message.

For probably the first time since coming here, she'd see Zelos' face over the camera - although he found directly looking at her a little difficult. A better view than his ceiling, anyway.]

You know, I should've expected that from you.

I am, I kind of came here the moment I saw it happen. Brought Sakura-chan too and currently at a hotel until further notice.

[He didn't want to go later and have Sakura pass out on him. That would have been more of a problem really than it would have normally because at least if he had the others he could have used Kurogane to carry her.]

Why wouldn't I be worried? [He laughed slightly. He didn't use to worry much, but after being here for a while... He had started to understand that even though he put a line up, he himself always crossed over it. He cared for people and he just learnt to accept it. Especially since nothing bad has happened to any of them yet. He hasn't caused them problems.] I care about you, so of course I would be worried, silly~

[He gives a small smile for a brief moment before he pauses to think about it.] It's pretty bad, but I'll come and meet you somewhere if it becomes too overwhelming. [Since Sakura was safe and currently asleep.]

[ Weiss is clearly not happy about it and her crabbiness is coming out on full because of it. She seems to realize it after a moment and adds: ]

If you're looking for a safe place to stay, Schnee Company's Nova City branch is presently being used as a crisis camp for people fleeing the city.

That's pretty sensible. She alright?

[He didn't care that much, but she was important to Fai at least.

Still, Fai insisting that he cared about him was not something Zelos expected to hear anytime soon. People actually caring - not about the Chosen of Tethe'alla, but about him, Zelos - was entirely foreign to him, and he had no idea how to deal with it.]

What can I say? All part of my charm.

[His laugh was a little more nervous this time, but at the same time it was much more genuine than it had been previously.]

[ Actually it's pretty informed. IT's definitely not the first time she's heard it. Or the 5th. Or more. It's a general-use nickname that sticks to her very well. ]
