Action/Closed to Natsu - Sleeping Beauty Ariiiiiiiiiises!

WHO: Natsu and Lucy
WHAT: Lucy wakes up~! YAY!
WHEN: Three days after the event ends (Forward dated)
WHERE: The Inn

Shortly after passing out at the Bay, and after Natsu brought her back to the inn, Lucy remained in a deep, coma-like sleep for a full three days. On that third day, she finally started to show signs of waking up, though it felt harder than it was. Once she finally managed to open her eyes, it took her a minute to convince herself not to close them again.

Then her memories caught up with her, of her conversation with the spirit, being in the Bay calling out for volunteers (yuck), and then... ohh. Slowly her hand twitched as she started to piece together her memory of what happened before she collapsed. Oof though; She felt like she slept for weeks! "Natsu...?" Naturally her partner is the first thing she should think about. That's normal right? And knowing him he -wouldn't- be all that far away either. Normally. Unless something had happened.

No he wasn't far at all. In fact that weight Lucy felt over the lower half of her legs was exactly from the body of her dear partner who had only left her bedside to eat and even that was hastily taken care of before he came back. He must have fallen asleep recently given he hadn't stirred an inch since Lucy started moving about.

Mmph. She stretched a little, pausing midway. What's this heaviness on her legs? She propped herself up on her elbows, squinting at first. "Wh..." Asleep on her legs. How long had he been like that?

... she felt bad if she woke him up now, but... she nudged her leg against him gently. Wake up!~ "Natsu." She can't move to get up or anything while he's like that y'know.

Natsu scrunched up his eyes and growled in protest much like a sleeping dragon on his pile of gold would in a fairy tale.

Oh god, that ...was precious. She grinned, shaking her head. Fine fine, keep sleeping; heaven knows he probably needed it. Maybe she could slide her legs out from under him? She wiggled a little, tugging on them - not that she had much room to manuever. That wasn't going to work. She leaned forward, fingers brushing against his arm to tug on his sleeve. "Natsuuu~!" She hates to wake ya up man, but her legs are going to sleep.

Natsu whined and growled some more, even going so far as to shifting so MORE of his weight rested on Lucy's legs and even tucking his head in protest before one eye slowly cracked open when she called his name.

Oh come on, how can he be so cute like that. It's illegal, and unfair! Though with him shifting even MORE onto her legs, she's suddenly glad she didn't try to pull her legs out from under him. There's no way she'd have succeeded. More importantly, was she going to have to shake him awake? She started to lean forward to reach out to his shoulder, stopping when she caught sight of his eye starting to open. Phew, so he's going to get up now right?

It was a natural talent. Something that occured with about as much reliability as drawing breath. And Natsu had no means to control it. Slowly the consciousness of hte waking world started slipping in and the blurry unfocused vision from Natsu's eyes gradually focused and revealed...

"Lu...cy...."

It must be as natural a talent as her radiant smiles. She's giving him one right now, though it's a little tired. "Sorry to wake you..." She murmured apologetically. How long had she been out? Just a day wasn't it? Maybe?

Probably. But that smile was also what threw him completely into the waking world. "Wha? LUCY YOU'RE AWAKE!" He cried out quickly standing up and leaning over Lucy's bed, his face coming dangerously close to invading Lucy's personal space.

Whoah uh. Lucy leaned away in surprise when he nearly invaded her personal space. "N-Natsu...? Wh.. how long was I out...?" With that kind of reaction it must have been longer than a day.

"It's been three days! I didn't know when you'd wake up you know!" Natsu answered quickly leaning a bit closer and closer before his hand slipped with the covers and sent him falling on top of Lucy.

"T.. Three days?? I -" Whoah. WHOAH. WHY IS HE LEANING CLOSER. Instinctively she tried pressing back. "H-Hey, Natsu you're... don't come so close...!"

Sadly her warning came far, FAR too late, but on the bright side, Natsu gets to land on soft, cushiness! Maybe too soft and cushy, as Lucy freezes for a second, tensing before her hands reached for his shoulders to push at him. "G..Get off~!"

Natsu looked up from his comfy sudden pillow before Lucy finally pushed him by the shoulder.

"S-Sorry my hand slipped." Natsu said before he hit her with a point blank smile of absolute relief. Natsu had never been more relieved to see LUcy's open eyes and to hear her voice even if it was telling him to get off.

"I.. I know that..! S-so -" So don't look at her with that irresistable smile. Augh, it's only making her cheeks feel warmer. "So you should..." Erm... get off. Yeah. This ... was another bad situation to be in. Why did she have such trouble finding her words when he was close to her?

"Oh right right." Natsu said and quickly sat up straight releasing Lucy's poor legs from being trapped under him. The smile still stayed on his face though and would likely stay for a while yet. Just having Lucy up and about was enough for him to be in a good mood for the rest of the day if not more.

"You've gotta be starving. Lets go see if we can get something to eat form the inn lady."

S-saved. "Y-yeah, I am." Ahem. "I was really out for three days...?" She sat up slowly, shifting to the edge and getting to her feet unsteadily. She held onto the bedframe with one hand, the other rubbing her legs to try to banish those pins and needles.

"You okay? You can just use my shoulder for support if you want." Natsu offered seeing her try to push some strength into her sleeping legs. It was only natural given how long she'd been out.

"I will be," she promised. But she accepted the offer, gratefully, putting her hand against his shoulder for support. "I guess things worked out...with the spirits." She'll have to check on Spirit, Yuna and Satsuki, and see how they're doing.

Natsu easily supported Lucy upright so it was no problem to help her walk towards the door. The mention of spirits got a faint growl out of Natsu remembering how they decided to sort things out.

"Guess so. After all we're still here and so's the rest of this world."

She cast a quick glance at him at that slight growl, her hand give his shoulder a light squeeze. "... at least there's that." Though she didn't feel very thrilled about it, knowing what the price of their victory was. She leaned a little against him, even though she didn't need the support as much with her legs waking up. "Any word about that jerk?"

Leave it to Lucy to try and reasure him while she was still dazed from her 3 day coma. Oh well it was part of what made Lucy who she was. When asked about Vlad, Natsu shook his head before adding to the gesture.

"Nah I haven't heard anything. THen again I haven't left the inn since you passed out." He couldn't say didn't leave the room since he did go down to eat frugally three times a day before returning to his place by her bedside.

"You haven't -- Natsu that's... you didn't have to stay the whole time..." She was gonna wake up!... well, she didn't know at the time she was going to pass out, but the spirits would have told her if it had been life threatening wouldn't they? ...maybe?

If the Innkeeper hadn't seen Natsu basically carry the unconscious girl in earlier, she might be giving him an entirely different smirky-smirk when she saw the pair coming downstairs. As it is, seeing Lucy on her own two feet - even if she did need to lean on Natsu for support - made her smile.

"Finally up I see! I was beginning to wonder! If you're hungry, the breakfast rush is about done, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting a seat." She clicks her tongue slightly, deciding not to add in a teasing comment, because shipper trolls will be shipper trolls.

"Yes I did!" Natsu insisted bluntly. After all he was her one and only partner. Staying by her side during her time incapacitated was the only natural course of action he could take.

WHen the inn keep greeted them, Natsu flashed the kind lady a big smile hwich was more than could be said he'd shown during Lucy's impromptu long term slumber.

"Thanks we'll take you up on that then. What do you feel like havin, Lucy?"

Lucy was about to protest his insistence, but... well, she would have done the same thing if he had been the one to fall asleep for three days. "... Natsu..." He was really something else. She'll never stop thinking that. Still, even though she felt confident she could walk on her own, she didn't move away from his side, or even let go of him - it's been three days, and it felt like longer. It was natural to want to be close to her one and only partner, right?

The Innkeep certainly took note of how happy he looked now that Lucy was up and about - she hadn't seen him smile like that in days - obviously. Adorable. Lucy, meanwhile, considered the question. "Oh... I don't know, I feel like I can eat just about anything. I guess I'll stick with the standard fare though." Eggs, ham and bacon, yumyum. Although she'd have to try not to stuff her face or she'd get a bellyache.

"Did you eat already?"

Protesting would not have gotten her anywhere. He didn't regret spending that time by her side in the least. After all he could imagine how she would feel if she woke up alone after that year he was training.

"I uhhh was going to when I woke up. So I can definitely eat with you now." Natsu said scratching his cheek with a finger trying to not look too guilty about admitting that.
