[This was all pretty insane. Ending up on a different world was something out of a manga or a sci-fi film or something. The most important detail about his situation was something that he realized himself and that's that Alice wasn't here, at least she hadn't arrived with him.
But he starts up his device, hopefully if she is here she will see it.]
This really isn't some sort of joke, is it? I thought I might have been dreaming, but this feels too vivid to be a dream. [Not to mention he pinched himself hard enough to leave a red mark on his arm just to make sure.]
What are we expected to do here? [Because he's certain his duties and responsibilities back home were more important than anything he could be expected to do here.]
