[Since Gilgamesh's ~~personal challenge~~ message, Midboss had been preparing to charge in with a solo attack and take him down. He more than had the power to deal with the problem alone, or so his vanity believed... But Bridget reaching out to him, and Fai's message earlier that day have given him pause for thought.

Maybe, just maybe, it would be better to share the fame and glory. Besides, with more people, he could more easily humiliate the man who dared to try and take over his throne.]

People of Attleton and the four cities. For those who have not met me, I am the Dark Adonis Vyers, the true city Guardian of Attleton. More formal introductions will have to wait, however, as there is a more pressing matter at hand.

As I am sure everyone has noticed, an usurper by the name of Gilgamesh has taken an innocent hostage and attempted to take over my position.

I have been looking for the best method to combat this individual, and I can see an individual by the name of Fai is already starting to pull a plan together. I ask you all to listen to what he has to say.

Between the pair of us, I believe we can make sure this is all resolved as soon as possible, and the girl can be brought home safely.

For my part, I plan to confront Gilgamesh directly. If anyone wishes to join me in that venture, do let me know.

[He hoped Fai would be willing to work with him, even if he was calling him out rather directly on the comms without discussing it privately first. Still, he was the Guardian who's city was under threat, Midboss saw nothing wrong with helping him bring together everyone who wanted to stop Gilgamesh. He was very, very curious to see what Fai could do, so put his trust in his planning for now.]

Thank you for doing this. Please, lead the plan. I'm more than happy to take a back seat, as you seem to know exactly what you're doing.

[Truth be told, he wasn't sure how this would go down - he had never worked with Fai before, after all - but there was no point in doubting this now. In the meantime, he set about gathering his allies for the coming fight.]

I assume a direct assault on the man is what you meant by 'a distraction'? Certainly, I was planning on attacking him with whoever I could gather of significant power.

I could not help but notice you getting involved in all this after Gilgamesh made his announcement. It does look as if we'll be charging into another fight - I don't suppose you would be willing to assist me, this time? I'd certainly rather avoid repeating what happened with Lucifer.

Once I have solidified the strategy further, we need to discuss the best plan of attack. I presume I don't need to ask you to join me on the battlefield?

Considering what happened the last couple of times I involved myself in major battles, I imagine you would be rather annoyed if I didn't ask your assistance. If nothing else, I will no doubt need you to standby incase I get injured. I hope that won't be a problem?

You would have thought this was gonna stop, but nope. Someone else has to decide that he knows best. So you know I'm going to help.

I'm pitching in on the efforts. I'd be a terrible Guardian not to help out a fellow Guardian when they need it.

Indeed, I suppose as soon as one Tyrant falls, another rises to take his or her place. It does get rather tiresome.

Thank you. I do believe it important the Guardians can work together to protect the cities when a crisis hits, I'm glad I'm not alone in that.

[Poor little dragon. Midboss can't help but be a little worried.]

We will stop him, I assure you of that. Did you intend to confront him directly?

[This stranger certainly looked fairly powerful - although looks could be deceiving, of course.]

You're a fighter as well, then? I don't believe we've met.

Well...yes...

[She can't help but feel a little ashamed of herself, but she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she didn't go.]

What sort of abilities do you have? I can cast healing and barrier spells, but I think only my strongest barrier will be effective. However, it takes a lot of energy and it doesn't last very long, but it's capable of reflecting magical attacks back at the caster. So if I can just time it right, I can turn Gilgamesh's own power against him.

Also, we need to focus on getting that feather back. Gilgamesh is drawing on its power, so taking it from him will surely turn the tide in our favor.

[And at this point, Azalea wouldn't mind using the feather's power for this battle. She's not feeling particularly merciful towards the usurper.]

Since you are a Guardian, I'm sure you could lead some part of the plan. After all I can only be in one section of it.

Yeah direct assault is attacking the man himself, which is the part I can't pay full attention to until Sakura is taken care of and we have a good few people who have already offered that seem powerful enough, so you could lead them.

I get that totally, back home that happened near yearly.

[It did get bothersome but they improved themselves and deal with it every time. With that thought she gave a small wink.]

But we will deal with it each and every time because that is what we can do.

[Although Gohan is currently pushing his power level down, there's still an immense power flowing out from him. After all, even one percent of a ridiculously large number is itself going to be a large number.]

Indeed he does! To try and challenge moi, he severely underestimates my strength.

Well, I imagine we will humiliate him in front of the whole of Attleton soon enough, and prove that I am the rightful Guardian here.

That does sound rather inconvenient. Back in the Netherworld, there were always upstarts attempting to challenge the authority of the Overlords, so I've dealt with plenty of these sorts in the past.

Honestly, parade him in front of everyone in Attleton to prove we are a greater force than him. Beyond that...well, if this was the Netherworld I would probably kill him, and even here he would have to sacrifice some piece of himself if he wished to return to life. Still, I doubt that will be the most popular opinion.

Primarily, I am a physical fighter. I can empower my strikes to explosive levels with magic, of course, but usually punches and kicks last me well enough. I can split myself into multiple copies and magnify my power that way. I suppose my greatest strength lies in my agility. Even amongst demons, my speed is unrivalled.

A barrier to reflect his own power back on him, that would definitely be beneficial if we can call on it effectively... all the more reason we should gather a group to combat him.

If we can take it from him before the battle is over, that would turn the tide greatly in our favour, although I fear we may have to beat him into the ground before we can pry it from him.
