[Will was the Watchman of the Light, the Youngest of the Old, and the Signseeker. He had ridden the wind, walked the forgotten roads of the Lost Land and made the mountains sing.

Goodness, this is rather odd. Whoever would have thought of pairing a television with a phone?

If you walk a bit further towards the archway you'll find a helpful console and some brochures. The console broadcasts a recording by a woman named Weiss Schnee.

No one has maliciously kidnapped you or anything like that; or at least no one that we've ever been able to directly interact with. If a singular intelligence is at work here it has managed to elude discovery for some time.

[Ah ha! Another face that Dairine remembers. This time though she'll be more careful about revealing how much she knows to the new arrival. At least until Dairine can tell whether he would know her too.]

I can tell you a bit, though I've only been here a month or two now.

My, you certainly are taking this 'abduction' well for one so young.

[He smiles, his expression blandly pleasant.]

[He tiles his head curiously. ]

Ah, thank you. That does sound helpful.

Do you know why I have been brought here, then?

Certainly not - however it does not stop others from doing so. I'm certain you'll see that for yourself soon enough. [ She tilts her head curiously. ]

How old are you?

I turned thirteen last December.

Goodness - you must forgive me, I had thought you looked younger. But ah, I must introduce myself properly. My name is Tiara. This is Cui - [ She adds, leaning to the side to angle the feed a little and let her little fairy be visible. ]

I suppose I'm a bit young for my age. [He smiles at some private joke. ] Although I've been told that I'm rather old for my age as well.

Pleasure to meet you. And you as well. My name is Will Stanton.

Unfortunately not. The spirits of this place seemed to indicate that it brings people who are 'compatible' although beyond that they gave me no motives. And followup questions were not allowed.

It is interesting that things like that exist, it just goes to show what advances people can make.

[Yukiko smiled as her feed switched to video.]

Not anytime you want, I don't think. Maybe there'll be opportunities in the future.

I don't believe anyone knows exactly why we are here.

[Aw, rats. That's a bummer. In that case, Dairine will try not to let on that she knows him.]

No problem. Have you read the pamphlet yet, or should I start from the basics?

So there are other people unfamiliar with the technology here. When I first got here, that confused me too. [Except she has no idea what a television is.] This place is called Genessia. There should be a few pamphlets available and Weiss does a good job with introducing some of the stuff, but I'll try to answer what I can.

I will be glad of any assistance you are willing to give.

Not really, I mean you could ask around for those who have been here longer, but there hasn't been anything obvious.

You've been brought to Genessia City, in what seems to be a pocket dimension of sorts. The surrounding area is walled off with some kind of barrier, but you can travel to four other cities through the portals.

My answer will probably be the same as theirs, but I'm... honestly not sure why any of us have been brought here. This place... It depends on how your world is, but for some of us, it's a second life opportunity.

Of course that's not really a popular opinion here though. A lot of people still want to leave so I can understand why.
