[Action/Video] A Struggle against Her Nightmare

[Video]

[Anastasia suddenly bursts from the doors of what she thought was the home for children after realizing it was all a hallucination. Her entire trip from the party in Fayren to Genessia was nothing more than a dream. She was still in Fayren, but she had no idea where. She ran for a some time, feeling like something or someone was chasing after her.]

"Help! Please, help me! Something's chasing me! I..."

[With a terrified shriek, the feed suddenly stops...]

[Action]

[Anastasia quickly slid to a stop in front of a tall man in a dark blue monk's robes. His hair was white, but his eyes were strangely hollow. Holding his hands behind his back, the man began to walk towards the girl, who had both a look of fear and hate on her face.]

"You! Why are you here?!"

"And you think you would be safe? You have a lot to learn about your new God-King..."

[Anastasia tried to run back to the children's home, intent on finding support against this man who was her enemy from back home. The man held his hand out to the girl, and she suddenly began to slow to a stop. Anastasia looks to be struggling with all her strength, but it proves to be in vain as the man turned his hand, and the girl turned around to face him.

Her pulled his arm in and Anastasia began to do a puppet-like walk over to him. When she was within reach, she was thrown down to her knees by the unseen force.]

"You're not real! You're not real!" [She struggled harder against the power holding her, but the force only presses down on her harder.]

"I AM real!! You are no hero! You have lost this war! You have failed your people! Failed your friends! Failed your world! You are NOTHING! Surrender to me! Call me your God-King!"
"No!!"
"Surrender!!"
"No!!

[Anastasia's strength was beginning to wane the more she fights back this nightmare. She was certain this was some sort of nightmare, the hollowed-out eyes in his face were signs this was a nightmare. However, the more she resisted giving in to his demands, the more she couldn't tell herself this wasn't real. The more her fear began to take over, the more demonic her enemy became. She doesn't know how much longer she can hold out.]

[ Sufferer, not Anastasia too? What was everyone doing in Fayren? If she didn't have to come here to buy blood she'd almost want the place wiped off the map.

At least this time she could tell where her friend was. ]

Anastasia, calm down, I'm coming.

[ She headed out for the Children's home as fast as she could. ]

[Anastasia was only briefly in Fayren earlier, but was overwhelmed by the scary theme of Halloween. She peered at the camera with terror in her eyes when she heard Porrim.]

"Miss Porrim...!"

[What little the camera could pick up shows she had wandered quite a distance from the children's home...]

[ She made it to the children's home to find that Anastasia was nowhere in sight. Lovely. ]

Anastasia, which way did you go?

[Anastasia's voice comes through to Porrim once more after a couple of minutes.]

"I-I don't know if I'm being tracked on this... I'm 5 minutes away from the children's home. I'll try to move into the open, but I think it's getting closer...!"

What is?

[ Five minutes away could be anywhere. She took her best guess at Anastasia's direction based on the direction she seemed to be running when she first saw her. ]

"I don't know... I don't know!"

[Anastasia was in a more open area as shown on the screen, but she soon stopped, fixated in fear on something in front of her.]

"He's here... He found me!"

Anastasia? ANASTASIA!

[Sakura has been asked not to leave her room. With the chaos happening in Fayren Fai has made it clear that she is not to leave the house but she finds it hard to sit and do nothing while her friend is running away from something.]

[ooc:I didn't know if you were gonna change the location but tag!]

[ooc: It had to be changed because Anastasia-mun is a big dummy head.]

"S-Sakura...?"

[Anastasia had slowed down a bit to look into the camera of her communicator. The look of fear and hopelessness in her...]

"Sakura... I don't know what will happen... Thank you for being my friend. It made being in Genessia worth it."

[She wanted to get that through. It didn't matter to her if this nightmare was real or not.]

No, don't say that!

[She wants to shake the video but she knows it will do nothing.]

Please Anastasia... at least run towards me. I can't leave, I can't find you but you can find me.

Please don't give up.

"I-I'll try... He's getting really close!"

[The camera shows that Anastasia started sprinting again, but doing so was wearing her down. The camera and see the world slowing down as she does.]

[Since Yukiko came back, she felt like she wanted to help out more, to solve the problems that might be around and seeing what was before her made her all the more determined.]

M-Miss! What is chasing you?

[She may or may not be running either way. She had some idea of which city they were in at least.]

[Yugi had been trying his hardest to keep running from a certain seal he kept seeing. It was a reminder of something he was fond of and something he only really learnt about recently. Never the less he still knew it had been a bad thing. As he turned the corner he found himself bumping into the figure and falling to the floor.]

Ah, sorry... [He slowly looks around now that he was paying attention. He saw the girl and then the other. It was enough to cause his eyes to widen slightly. They looked really creepy. He was quickly to move and look over toward the fearful girl.]

Do you need help?

[Annie's heart is beating in her chest. Running. A demonic creature chasing. Knowing you can never escape - knowing every time they're close, knowing you can't escape.

Her body ripples, and her arm shoots out - stretches out, turning dark brown as it slams toward the figure.]

Run!

[Anastasia's gaze frantically darted from the screen to her surroundings. Tears welling up in the young girl's eyes at this point.]

"I don't know! I think... He can't possibly be here..."

[Anastasia looked as though she was fighting against something trying to pull her towards the man. She was clearly a young girl who was afraid of the man and struggling to get away from a unseen influence.

She spotted the boy, her teary eyes pleading to him.]

"Help me! Don't let him get me! Don't let him get me!"

[ Porrim finds someone near the home and asks about Anastasia - quickly finding out that the girl hadn't been there recently at all. Something about Fayren...? Had she never left? But Porrim had seen...

Perhaps these hallucinations weren't completely in your head. Porrim immediately started to rush for the Fayren arch again. ]

I'm coming Anastasia! Hold on!

Do you think you can quickly hide until I get there?

[She knows she is getting close to the archway anyway.]

"I-I can try, but... Wait..."

[Anastasia was looking around frantically, mostly for her pursuer. She doesn't recognize the area as this was only her second visit to Fayren. The camera did pick up some erratic movement followed by the young girl grunting, then a bang in the back ground. It seems she was trying to lead her pursuer away while she moves in another direction.]

[Yugi took a moment trying to figure out how to help and help quickly as all he knew what to do was simply run on over and take her by the hand in the hopes he won't get pulled along either.]

Just hold on.

[So far so good at least.]

[Yukiko soon rushed through the portal, thankful that she always wore her necklace at all times. She didn't know where the young woman was but she was going to keep running in hopes that she bumps into the other, all the while the fan is firmly in her hand for when she would use it, if she has to.]

[It would not be long before a shriek pierces the silence. Anastasia's plan to lure her pursuer away had failed and she was caught by an unseen force. She was being pulled towards her nightmare like she was being controlled like a marionette. Even though she was struggling with all her might, she wqs simply no match.

A deep, horrific voice bellowed from the Anastasia's nightmare.]

"Surrender... SURRENDER!"

[Sakura grips the phone felling as if she's trapped in that cage again.]

I'll find Fai. I'll get help.

[She stands but only manages to stagger to the doorway.]

[Yukiko had managed to figure out where to see and could see the other ahead. She was pretty sure that it won't really cause anything but she threw her fan towards whatever it was with force before she moved to get in closer.]

[The robed man stumbled away as if a cord with high tension had snapped and Anastasia collapsed to the ground, freeing her from his control. The man's demonic form shrank down to that of a normal man, except his eyes still remain hollowed out.
Slowly, the man glanced at the unwelcomed guest, then turned to face her, drawing a bow staff from his sleeves.]

"This child belongs to me now. You need to run along and do what ever it is good girls do. This matter doesn't concern you."

[Anastasia was struggling to get back to her feet, happy to overwhelming force was off her, but she was exhausted from fighting against the force.]

[The communicator was dropped, the camera now picking up Anastasia struggling against a force that the camera couldn't see. She looked as though she was being pulled towards a robed figure just off the edge of the camera.]

"Help me! I don't want to be a drone! I don't want to be a drone!"

"H-Hurry, please!"

[The camera picked up the sounds of a man declaring that she can't escape, followed by inhuman growling, and Anastasia shrieking. The girl began to run again, the camera catching her narrowly dodging what appears to be skeletal shadows that were trying to grab her.]

[Luckily enough, it only took the boy's interference to cause the unseen cord between Anastasia and her nightmare to snap, causing the assailant to stagger backwards and Anastasia to fall towards Yugi. Once he recovered and returned to a more humanoid form, he glanced at this unwelcome guest.]

"This does not concern you, boy... Hand her over to me. She is mine."

[Anastasia managed to keep herself on her feet by grabbing onto Yugi. While doing so, she was quickly and shakily repeating one thing to the boy.]

"Please don't let him get me... Please don't let him get me..."

Where are you! At least run towards the archway!

[Sakura is frantic now and since she can't find Fai she's running out of the house and towards Fayren.

This can only end in a disaster.]

"I'll try... But I don't know where I am!"

[Anastasia tried to find any sort of landmark to help her recognize where in the city she might be in.
Finally, she saw something that stuck out and feels she can find her way to the archway as Sakura told her. As Anastasia saw her pursuer closing the distance, she began to sprint towards the archway.]

[Yukiko was quick to run and grab her fans before she glanced over, screw paying any attention to that guy, she doesn't think it's worth it anyway. Instead her focus is on the girl as she reaches her hands out for her to take.]

Let's go. I'll take you outside Fayren.

[Yugi kept his hands on her shoulders for the time being. He didn't trust the guy so he was sure as hell positive he wasn't going to let him take the girl.]

You make her sound like an object. She is a person, so no I won't give her back as she is coming with me.

[He moves his hands so that he was holdings hers as he looked at her. He was hoping that she would figure out he was planning on running.]

And at that, I must run.

[With that word he was off at a speed that he hoped she could keep up with.]

[Sakura is running too. The ground flies away from her feet as she runs towards the archway. Her breath falls heavily from her lips but as the familiar arch comes into view she begins to feel weaker.

She isn't going to give up or give in and wish one last push of energy she makes it to the archway. She steps through staying just at the edge and looking out for her friend.]

Anastasia!

[A young girl's shriek originates near Sakura's position. Nearby, it was Anastasia herself cornered by her pursuer, the tall, robed man with hollow eyes. His hands were out to her, fingers wiggling and Anastasia moving like a puppet towards him.

Anastasia was struggling to break free from the influence, but without her magic or her closest allies, she feels completely helpless. However, she heard Sakura call her name.]

"Sakura! Help me! He's got me!"

[Sakura has no abilities, no nothing to help. So she picks up the largest rock she can find and throws it at the man.]

Stay away from my friend!

[The robed man took the rock square to the head, and for the moment, his control over Anastasia was broken. Before the young girl could get away from him, he re-established a marionette control of her.]

"Friends, Princess...? How long will it be before you destroy them?"

No one is going to turn you into a drone, just hold on.

[ She rushed through the barrier into Fayren, now having no idea where to go next. Where was Horuss to show her how to use a tracking app or something when you needed him? ]

[Sakura is only getting angrier at the hooded man.]

I DON'T CARE!

[She tries to draw his attention again, her words and stare bearing into him as she runs straight for him. She'd knock him off his feet if she can.]

I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO ME BUT YOU AREN'T HURTING MY FRIEND!

[Anastasia's nightmare was too focused at this point in torturing his prize, now making sure she knows that she is powerless against him by forcing her into painful poses before forcing her into a worshipful bow.]

"You were the biggest threat to my plans. A weapon of that Weed Goddess's wishes. Now you are nothing but a weak child, but even a child has her uses as a drone..."

[Then suddenly, the nightmare was struck by charging girl, and he was barreled away and off his feet. Anastasia was once more freed from the control and collapsed to the ground. She had passed out from the ordeal.

As the young girl fainted, the nightmare faded away...]

[Sakura stands and then moves over to Anastasia. She carefully attempts to life her friend and slowly carry her to the gate and to her home.

It's a slow process and she works hard not to drop her friend. When she finally gets home she sets Anastasia on her bed and then falls asleep on the floor.]
