I'm back... I was a little... occupied in Fayren, but I'm okay. Someone there reminded me of something important, when I was... vulnerable, and I was able to get out of there.

[Mamoru had a rather gloomy look on his face.]

I was only there because I wanted to visit Levy-san's bookstore which I couldn't do when I was still in the hospital. I saw Levy-san in trouble and I had to help her get to the archway before whatever was chasing her caught her. But... I something familliar called out to be... speaking to me through the G-Stone... I couldn't leave just yet, so I was made vulnerable too. but thankfully someone was there to remind me of what's important and helped me overcome it.

It'll take some time, but I'll be back to my old self sometime soon, I just feel overwhelmed by first the whole Gilgamesh thing, and then what happened in Fayren...I'm just thankful I was able to protect Levy-san before the darkness came for me.

[To say that Levy is happy to hear from Mamoru is an understatement. She flicks on the screen as soon as she hears the young boys voice. Relief flooding from her features.]

Mamoru. I'm so glad that you are safe.

[Though after what he said she's still a little worried.]

I know the bookshop might be a little daunting so why don't you come to my house for tea? I live in Genessia.

Well, it sounds like you've been through a lot. Though "Gilgamesh"...that name sounds familiar. Who was he again?

[Anastasia appeared on the screen. She doesn't look all that well.]

"Mamoru... You were affected too? I'm glad you are all right... You, Miss Levy, Sakura, everyone."

So... You went to Fayren, too? What....What did you see, Anastasia-chan?

Gilgamesh... He was that evil man who kidnapped Sakura-san and tried to take over Attleton! I tried to fight him...But I ended up injured for a while...

Thank you, Sakura-san. That sounds nice of you!

Being confronted by that...certain enemy from my past filled me with doubts...But someone helped me reclaim my courage and I was able to defeat them.

And Yeah, we could do that.

[She rolls her eyes.]

Oh, that guy. Now I remember...I believe he was one of the candidates in the last election for Guardian. It makes me especially glad that I didn't bother voting. Would that I could have confronted him directly, but those statues got in the way.

[She sighs, ending her rant.]

So has everyone recovered, who was affected by this?

I'm glad you're alright. I'm sorry I couldn't get to you too, I was a bit preoccupied.

All I needed was a reminder to have faith in courage and victory in order to defeat what was haunting me. It helped...push the doubts away.

I'd... like to think I'm not as helpless as my age might make me seem.

Ah, see I think it's actually your immaturity that leads you to think that you need to do everything by yourself.

I was very badly injured... I was very close to dying...

But I survived, and I'm still sore and recovring... but given me being able to win against my fears in Fayren... my body and powers are recovering.

I can't speak for the others, but I know Sakura-san is doing really well now that she's free, I went to see her as soon as the hospital cut me loose.

I was only there to save Levy-san... I didn't expect... one of THEM to show up as my nightmare...and call out to me through the G-Stone.

I see...

[She was about to ask why a child was rushing off to fight alone, but he mentioned having powers. And the fact that he survived means there's something different about him.]

You're not an ordinary child, are you? Are you a mage?

There's no shame in becoming overwhelmed; and it sounds like you manages to persevere regardless.

When I said that I was sorry for not being there, I didn't mean that I didn't think you could handle it. I meant that you are my friend, and I wish I could have been there so you wouldn't have had to handle it all by yourself.

[She didn't look willing to talk about Fayren, mostly the why she was there.]

"I saw... A man from my world. A wicked man. He claims to be a God-King, but he's nothing but a treacherous man who eluded death since ancient times."

[Anastasia deems it a dreadfully long story and hopes that info will satisfy her friend for now.]

My powers are closer to being something like psychic powers than magic, but even that's not really it either.

That's because... I'm a alien.

[Mamoru decided to give a demostraion as his hair stood up and he emitted a bright green glow and his white fairy-like wings appeared.]

I wasn't alone, someone reminded me of what I needed to do.

I see... As for me... I saw an enemy from my past. Remember how I told you about the group of people from my home world who were trying to destroy my second home in order to revive my home world? I saw one of them again... And they made me doubt myself and think it was all my fault...

[She watches him glow without much expression. Very curious, at the very least.]

Well, that is interesting. Gilgamesh must have been powerful himself if he was able to defeat you.

"All your fault that your homeworld was lost? ...How could it possibly be your fault?"

[She paused...]

"...The man I saw said I lost the war. Said I failed my people and my world... Even now, I don't know how much of that is true..."

Because, they were my people, and I stole an object from thhem to stop them from destroying the Earth, they felt I was siding against my own people, and they blamed me for everything that ended up happening, including the pain ad suffering caused by the conflict between them and my friends. It's really complicated. I was reminded though, that I just did what was right. That they were in the wrong because they were willing to destroy in order to revive the homeland.

I'm just glad you're okay.

Not really. I'm just not that powerful. My courage wasn't enough in the end.

[Mamoru turned back to normal, and he kicked the air with one leg with his blue sneakers and bare legs coming from his red short shorts, nervously.]

I still feel ashamed of losing to a person like that. I still feel like I failed Sakura-san. I feel like everyone was right to tell me not to endanger myself, that I was being too foolish, too naive.

Well...they were right.

[Still, she tries to sound reassuring.]

Sometimes courage alone isn't enough. From what I understand, it took a team effort in order to defeat Gilgamesh. No one could have beaten him alone. Even I was hard pressed fighting his statues. Fortunately, I had someone to help me.

There's a difference between courage and recklessness. And sometimes the most courageous thing to do is to ask for help.
