Hey, it's me. Sorry for the delay but if you're not swamped with City Guardian duties, I'd like to finally show you around my subarchway. You mentioned wanting to boost up Nova City's defenses against supernatural threats, right? Today's a good opportunity to check out some of the hardware we have that would be very useful for us in the future.

Hello, this is Troy Dantes. You know, "James Blond". I haven't had the chance to thank you for helping me out when I first arrived. I know it's been some time since then, but I'd like to give back to you. I'd like to show you around my subarchway. Last time I saw ya, it looks like you could use a break.

Athrun Zala

Hello, this is Troy Dantes. The guy in the suit of armor. You showed me around Onogoro Island once. I thought it'd only be fair if I showed you around my subarchway. There's a surplus of old, barely-used firearms going on there right now if you want to check it out. You can give it to your boys back in the island if you wish, if not well, there's still a lot of tech there that might interest you at least.

Hey, it's Troy. So, how about that coffee? Sorry if I've went dark on ya for a while there, I've been busy and I assume you've been too with that project you've been cookin' up. If you're free I'd like to take you to a nice day out in my subarchway. I'll show you around my city and get a glimpse of my homeworld, it'll be fun.

It sounds like it will be fun. Where should we meet? I'm afraid I don't know where your subarchway is exactly.

Oh?

[There's definitely a tone of interest to his voice.]

All right. I'll take you up on that offer. You've piqued my curiosity.

[That's news that Satsuki likes to hear. It's almost like Christmas came early.. Again! Satsuki appears in the feed and the seat she's in should appear familiar, seeing as he had rode in the same vehicle.]

There is no need to apologize, in fact your timing couldn't be better. How soon would be convenient to meet?

You don't have to know where it is, I'll pick you up. Just tell me what time I need to be there and I will be there. And dress lightly, the place we're heading to can get pretty hot.

[He means that literally. It's a city in a desert!]

My man. If you're around Nova City, my subarchway is in there. We can meet in front of the gate. I'll give you the location.

[Troy sends a text message through the network with a map of Nova City. A red dot points to where the subarchway manifested]

Pick me up in an hour?

[She only has the clothes she woke up in so she's hoping her usual blue outfit is okay.]

Do you remember where I'm staying?

[He sent an audio message but Satsuki responded with a video, so Troy felt like he should respond in kind and show his unarmored self, wearing some casual clothes that wouldn't be out of place in the modern world. He's also at a familiar location, waiting at the Nova City Guardian Tower's docking bay with the spider tanks parked behind from where he stands.]

As soon as you arrive here, we can get going. I just finished checking the spider tanks. It looks like we can get those upgrades after all. I'll tell you the details when we get to the facility in Dubai.

Yeah, how could I forget?

[Troy follows his words with a confident chuckle.]

An hour it is. I look forward to seeing you.

[Precisely an hour after their conversation, Troy showed up as promised. He would have showed up with a fancy car and show off like he does with the women in his world. But Aqua is different. In fact, he's never really met a woman like her before. So he showed up at her townhouse's doorstep with nothing but the (stylish) casual clothes on his back and a warm smile on his face]

Hey. Ready to go?

[Aqua smiles at his last goodbye before she raises and gets ready to leave. It doesn't take an hour so when he arrives she's standing out front wearing the one outfit that she owns. She wonders what the weather might be like considering Genessia seems to be slipping into winters cold grasp.

A warm smile plays across her lips as Troy walks up and with a quick nod she replies.]

Yes. Lead the way.

[She's a little excited to see what sort of world Troy is from. Her understand of this place isn't complete but the fact that many worlds seem to meet here has secured her attention. Even if she could leave she'd what to find out what is happening here first. The worlds shouldn't be connected like this.]

Actually, I live in Nova City -- in Heaven's Court Apartments. I should be there shortly.

[Athrun makes sure he receives the map before heading out. Once he sees where it is, he knows exactly where to go.]

Hm? You're not getting dressed?

[Seeing Aqua still wearing her original outfit, Troy raised a brow and wondered just how much she'll stand out in Dubai. He sighs through his nose, quietly, scratching his jaw with his thumb in wonder. Well his world has its fair share of odd fashion trends and he sees them enough in Dubai that he could just say Aqua is one of those people]

Well... I guess you'll be alright. You'll get funny looks with that outfit on but you wont be completely out of place. Either way, you look fantastic.

[Troy's smile returned on his face, stepping aside with his arm extended towards the sidewalk outside.]

[Nice, Troy thought. It's a high-end place, much like the apartments in Dubai he's so familiar with. It does make Troy wonder what kind of job Athrun does in Genessia. He never heard Satsuki mention his name even once before, so whatever Athrun is doing must not be related to any combat duty...]

Hoy!

[Troy waves his arm as soon as he spotted Athrun in the distance. For once he's not wearing his armor, and looks like a regular guy with his casual clothes on. If regular guys openly carry a handgun on their sides, that is]

So, do you just want the tour of where the cool toys are or do you want to see the city too? I figured since you live here, you like technologically advanced cities.

[Oh, hey. So he was indeed able to take his armor off. Athrun's surprised by the gun, though, since he didn't think Nova City allowed for open carry. He's been wearing his gun holster on the inside of his jacket this whole time.]

Oh, uh, hey. Sorry, it took me a few seconds to recognize you without the armor.

[As to the question? Hmm. It would probably depend on what the city contained.]

What kind of sights are there to see within the city?

[Aqua looks down at her outfit, her fingers lightly trailing over the fabric pulled tightly around her waist. She doesn't really mind funny looks as long as it's functional.]

I don't actually own anything else.

[His compliment comes as a little bit of a surprise however it makes Aqua smile.]

If you don't think this is suitable I can see about buying something else.

[Not that Aqua has ever really shopped for clothes. She steps forward and moves to stand by Troy's side.]

[Her brows raise. That got a reaction out of her.]

That is excellent news. Very well, my ETA will be fifteen minutes.

[She ends the feed, then arrives near exactly as predicted, the familiar vehicle pulls up near Troy, then the young lady steps out in her usual uniformed attire and greets the young man with a nod.]

Are there any preparations I should make before we head in?

[Being the Deputy Guardian of Nova City, Troy is allowed to open-carry. Which is something he definitely likes; Troy doesn't like being unarmed for too long. Troy was laid-back as usual, smiling and open in the way he carries himself]

Besides the usual, what makes Dubai differ from the rest of the cities here are the luxury resort hotels and beaches. There's artificial islands, a mall with an aquarium and indoor ski-slope, museums, and some cultural parks showcasing traditional customs and things from the city's historical past. Amusement parks too, if you're in to that kind of thing. I sure am!

[Well Fayren has a beach, but it looks kind of depressing as far as beaches go in Troy's opinion. Troy didn't linger any longer and proceeded to lead the way to the gate while he talked. In an instant, Athrun and Troy would find themselves on a landing pad at the top of a towering building.

The warmth brought by the desert air and the sea breeze meets on the top, which would feel a lot different from the weather they were at just now. From the pad, Athrun could see a white sand beach and a waterpark just passed the bridge connecting the lone building on the sea from the mainland.]

Well, kid. Welcome to Dubai.

[Troy extends his arm and presents the city skyline in the distance; tall glass spires and lush greenery could be seen as far as the eye could.]

Not bad, huh?

[Troy starts walking just as Aqua left the door that he closed for her. They walked side by side even with Troy leading the way.]

Well you'll be fine. Like I said, the worst you'll get are some weird looks. You'll be alright as long as you're with me.

[Dubai's security is pretty tight, with drones and surveillance cameras all over the city capable of detecting anyone with supernatural affinities. With Troy there, he could at least say she's with Spiral too, just transferring from a different branch or something]

Say what have you been up to anyway? You must be really busy not to have time for clothes shopping, haha.

[It isn't that she's to busy to go shopping for clothes. It's just not something that Aqua has ever thought about. She's been able to make her money last a little longer by only buying the necessities.]

I've been trying to set up that training hall but I've also been looking for a place to live permanently. I'm not sure where would be best.

[She's never picked a place to live before.]

I'm running a little low on funds.

[Which she see's as a small problem but it still needs a solution.]

What have you been up too? I though you had forgotten about me.

[Her tone is light and curious with no hidden meaning behind it.]

[Fifteen minutes was more than enough for Troy to get ready himself. He compiled a list of upgrades he thought would be good to add to the spider tanks, as well as Spiral-made equipment he could order in. Troy walks toward the vehicle as it arrived at the garage, giving Satsuki a casual salute]

You should be fine. I already told my people back home that I'm bringing someone in for a tour. Wasn't easy, but I always find a way.

[Troy spoke with calm confidence. He points at Bakuzan before he speaks again]

You can bring your sword with you, but you might want to change outfits to something more casual and fitting a hot climate. You'll stand out if you're wearing that.

[He already brought in someone with an outfit that stood out from the rest. He got away with it by saying she's from a different branch, and that won't work the second time.]

[Troy chuckles slightly at what Aqua said last. He prides many things about himself, and his ability to remember things is one of them. Plus, he can't forget about someone like Aqua that easily]

Come on, I can't forget about you. Though I admit we should have had coffee sometime sooner. I got a job in Nova City and that took up my time. If you're lacking on funds, I can help you out. The job pays well, and I don't really need it.

[Gallant as usual. Troy truly wouldn't mind giving Aqua some money until she finds her own way to earn a living in Genessia. He wouldn't even mind offering to have her stay in Dubai too, but that would be pushing it. He'll let the lady decide]

[Aqua smiles at him as they walk before looking back at the path in front of them. From what she knows of Troy she wouldn't expect any less of him though she doesn't feel right taking him up on his offer. She doesn't want to impose on his kindness.]

What job did you get?

[She's glad to hear that he found something and that it's kept him busy.]

[The air feels very different from Orb to Athrun. While it's true that both places are warm climates on the waterfront, the islands of Orb tend to have more humidity, offset by strong winds. This, on the other hand is much drier, but less windy.]

It looks to me like its reputation as the Las Vegas of the Middle East has held up even in other worlds.

[The version of Dubai in his world hasn't gone as well due to the depletion of Earth's fossil fuels -- not to mention Operation Uroboros bringing about a global energy crisis on the surface -- but it's still the nicest city in that part of the world.]

In fact, I'd say it's fared better here than it has in my own world. If nothing else, I'm glad to see people have managed to prosper, even if they haven't been in my own world.

'That so? What happened to it?

[Troy waited for a few more seconds before he turned around when he felt sightseeing time was over. He motioned Athrun to follow with a slight bob of his head, leading the way towards the doors at the end of the walkway]

What, like a tour or a date?

[ Her answer is very different depending on his response. ]

I'm a Deputy Guardian for Nova City, which is where we'll be heading first.

[Troy's smile showed pride in his new duty for one of Genessia's cities, and he couldn't help but feel like a part of this world now.

Fast-forward to later when they reached Nova City, Troy enjoys listening to Aqua's stories about Terra and Ven, her world and the basics of what she knows of the multiverse. Which was something Troy could all relate to. He's close with his friends at home, and the multiverse is a central concept his life revolves around in.

Before they get sidetracked from sight-seeing in Nova City, Troy and Aqua reached the subarchway leading to Dubai. Turning to her with a smile, he asks]

Now it's my turn to tell you my story. You ready?
