(The woman had been surprised to find herself waking up lying in something soft and under dim lighting. She could not remember falling asleep and she had been in a much brighter place - a place of beautiful music and good company.
And it had felt like a very deep and restful sleep, though she knew she had no dreams during it and she wasn't quite sure how to feel about it and she wonders if letting her eyes shut again, just for a few minutes, was something she could afford to do.
Most likely not. It was never good to keep to one place for every long. "Besides," she jested, "it was never really her style to begin with." Then she froze and her eyes opened wide - her diary, the sonic...
It was that one thought that allowed her to find the motivation to push herself up right, causing her wild curls to bounce and to grab her clutch where a small blue book should be lying in wait for her to open and begin to fill it with words of adventure and with it a sonic, the last gift she would ever be given from her husband.
She rooted through the clutch before internally sighing with relief.
"Ah good, my diary. Don't know what'd I do without that... though, I don't remember any entries about this sort of thing and I've been in quite a few binds in my time. Ah, the sonic is under it too."
The woman flips through each page and scans it intently with her eyes which narrowed as her suspicions were confirmed - there was not one entry about waking up in such a place and the diary was nearly full - was this something that still had yet to happen or did this mean something else entirely.
There weren't enough pages left for another long adventure.
It was chilling, she knew her time was coming to its end.
Then her attention was drawn the box which she carefully opens and then to the necklace, pamphlet, and the communication device which were inside with her. She sat up and pulled herself out then started pouring over the pamphlet. Then she finds herself dramatically sighing and shaking her head.
"It feels more like a collar...and it's not very cute either... and I actually have to wear it... well, what the hell? It isn't life without risk."
Then she sees the red bills and her eyebrow raises, but instead of grabbing the money she goes for the communication device instead and within a second, she has it turned onto video. Even without the pamphlet, it was primitive enough - well, by her standards.)
Well, well...
(The woman slowly moved her head around and then a very slight smile appeared on her face as she finally glanced back at the screen. She had been in a place that was no one close to a cave, and the box...she certainly would have remembered climbing into a coffin or a sleeping pod.)
Isn't this quite the surprise?

You don't sound so surprise but welcome to Genessia.
[It's a lot easier to sound nice through texting.]

Re: Text
Ah, thank you and you guessed right, but I've been around my fair share of fascinating things. This is just par for the course.
But, I'm not going to bore you with the details, very complicated and I'm fairly sure you wouldn't understand parts of it, if not most of it. It's really rather hard to tell with people these days.
(For the most part anyway, no, but some part of this, some part. This was different than all of those other times, for starters, she couldn't tell you have she ended up sleeping in a weird cave
She might shrug from behind her screen before adding one more thing.)
So, Genessia, is it? What an interesting name.

[Audio] Locked
Welcome to Genessia. Pocket dimensions in the alpha directions, keep the necklace, and consider getting a means of income. Your stay may be a few days or a few years. Nobody knows how to get out, nobody knows who's behind this, nobody cares what titles you had before or how big of a tantrum you can throw.
[There's a bit of a pause for another yawn.]
Oh, and don't try to steal from Rocks. That should cover some of the basics just in case that creepy hologram is still broken.
video;
[because Yukiko was rather surprised when it happened to her really because seriously, you would think you would remember getting in there, or being kidnapped... sort of.]
But I'm glad you seem to be taking it well enough. Sometimes people don't.
video;
It is always a surprise, but is it the good kind or the bad kind, I wonder?

I never much cared for the name. It sounds like an art exhibit.
Re: [Audio] Locked
Oh dear... (She might be beaming now.) You don't say...pocket dimensions? Well, well, well...we will have to see about that, won't we?
Now that just sounds incredibly complicated, it's almost like what I'm used to, and I just love the challenge. Maybe this might be more so. (River then nods and shrugs.)
A source of income, keep the necklace...(A slight tut sounds and she shrugs and shakes her head causing her curls to fly.) it's not really my style, but I suppose if I must, I'll just learn to make do for now. No tantrums, well, I can't promise that one, but alright I'm listening.
Ah, so nobody knows. Well, I do love a good mystery.
(River raises an eyebrow.) Rocks? Who is that and why shouldn't I try. Not that I'm saying I would.
Re: [Audio] Locked
[And she'll just be giving up on sleep for now. Instead there will be telltale clinks of tea being made.]
I'm Bridget and Rocks is my jewelry store. If you don't like the style of your necklace you are welcome to come by and we can see if I can do some alterations. My fee is negotiable and I do take information over reds.
