[Well, this has been a day. Karla only wants to make her normal trip to the Attleton Coliseum for her usual training, if only she didn't keep ending up here and there. Each time she was warped to a new location, she would turn and walk towards the direction of Attleton, only to end up warping somewhere else again.]

[The problem still hadn't resolved itself as she continued to move through the cities, until it got dark. After the sun sets, she'll find herself in Everglade.]

Well, this is getting me nowhere...

[Lilith was currently doing a job. A job most people would not like at all. Killing someone who deserves the sweet taste of death. At least from her research anyway.

With her daggers in a safe place she was about to move to strike when someone suddenly appeared in front of her, causing her to look majorly pissed off. Her target might leave if this person refused to move.]

And just standing there isn't going to get you anywhere either.

[Karla looks at the person and just shrugs.]

True. Oh well, we'll just see where I end up next. Good night...

[She can easily see that she's not wanted here, and she has no reason to stay, so she'll turn and begin to leave. She walks slowly, so she can easily be stopped if one so desires.]

[The party always starts at sunset in Everglade! Between stray humans and other creatures, a certain demon has plenty of things to choose for dinner. While some monster gained an interest in stalking Karla, a large, black feathered creature will leap down on it, pinning it down and clamping its three sectioned maw around the neck of its prey.

Eventually, it'll lift its head, all six eyes staring at Karla and began to speak in a doubled voice.]

I understand that you are likely a skilled swordswoman, but it is not wise to wander Everglade in the night.

[At first Karla hadn't noticed the creature stalking her, until a much larger creature leaped on top of it with a loud thud. She turned to face it, simply watching it feed on its dinner, until it looked up at her. Is she going to be its dessert?]

I'm sure it isn't...but while walking to Attleton, I seemed to have warped from one place to another. It's been happening all day, and even after the sun has set, this place continues to warp me to a random location. And now I've ended up here.

So it is not by your choice.

[He's not really surprised, but at least he doesn't seem hostile towards her. Intimidating, sure, but it doesn't seem like he's very interested in a two course meal tonight. Its tail wraps around the corpse, carelessly tossing it into the murky river. At least he cleans up after himself instead of leaving corpses around.]

Strange things have occurred in this world as of late. It would be best for you to make haste from this place, Karla.

[Oddly enough, Karla doesn't find herself intimidated at all. Perhaps it because of the lack of hostility from him. She watches the corpse as he tosses it into the river. Rather amusing, as Karla suppresses a chuckle. Well, that's one way of cleaning up.]

This wouldn't be the first time strange occurrances have happened. In fact, it's almost normal for strange things to happen.

[She pauses as she looks around, wondering where to go.]

Perhaps you can show me the way to the archway? I am also curious as to how you know my name...

We have met before in Genessia City.

[He'll leave it at that. He doesn't want to go giving away his form as Liam if he can avoid it, after all. Normally he doesn't care to be a good samaritan, but he's feeling generous today. He nods his head.]

The archway is not far from here. Come. Be careful not to stray.

[He starts to walk past her, keeping a slow pace so she's able to follow. Granted, it's probably hard to lose a large black monster, even in the fog.]

I cannot help but wonder if these 'warping incidents' are connected with the tremors of a few days past.

[Now that serves to confuse her even further. She would certainly recall meeting such a dark creature before, but as she thinks back to all of her counters in Genessia, this creature certainly doesn't come to mind.]

[Before she could inquire further, he had begun leading the way. Karla began to follow, making sure to keep up.]

Possibly? I don't claim to really understand what happens here, but there are some who are able to figure these things out and fix them.

Is that so? Then perhaps it would be wise to mingle among those. Learning the workings of this place would be beneficial.

[Low growls and clicking noises rise from the creature's throat occasionally, serving as a warning to any creatures that may be eying Karla from a distance. If they're smart and don't want to be eaten, then they'll keep their distance from the two.]

I do hope these matters will be tended to soon. Not everyone who will be brought to this city will have the same fortune that you did.

Perhaps. I do know a few people like that. Weiss Schnee, who runs the company I work for, and she also recently became Guardian of Nova City. She's also the girl in the hologram at the bay where newcomers arrive. There is also David Haller, who's been the Guardian of Genessia City for some time. He seems to understand this world pretty well also.

[She looks around as the creature wards off the other beasts with his growls. She smiles at his comment and then teases...]

...You mean the fortune of running into you?

[She had moved, ignoring the other easily, only to discover her target had gone missing.][Giving a heavy sigh, she glared over toward the cause.]

You made me miss my target, I hope you happy.

[Karla paused and glanced at the woman again. Really? She was going to be blamed for losing the target?]

Oh dear...sorry to hear that. Better luck next time.

[Considering you appeared right in front of her, yes. Besides she doesn't like most people.]

Don't have to sound so sarcastic.

[A shrug, and then a sigh...]

...I don't know what you expect me to do. Regardless, I really must go now.

The Schnee girl seems to have left quite the impression on this place. Perhaps I may attempt to speak with the two and perhaps learn from them.

[A rumble rises from his throat, possibly his equivilent of an amused chuckle.]

I do not generally tend to assist mortals. It is fortunate that we have met before this encounter, lest I may not have been so kind as to guide you to safety.

[He may be helping her, but he's not above admitting that he could have eaten her.]

[And the teasing continues...]

Well, I guess this means I must have left quite an impression on you as well. Though I do find it odd that I don't recall meeting you before. Normally I don't remember many of the people I've met, but I don't think I would have forgotten meeting a unique creature like you.

Go then, hope the werewolf bites you on the way out.

[Because after all it is curfew, they are allowed to.]

Some people are more than what they seem at a glance. What might appear to be a human may in fact be far more than what the guise may show.

[He turns his head to look back at her.]

You aided my other half. So it would be fair to escort you safely from this place.

Ah, I see.

[So he had taken a human guise when she had met him. She can't quite fathom who his human form might have been, but she doesn't want to pester him with it.]

[Well, he didn't expect to see Karla just appear in front of him as he walked home from work.]

...Well hey there, beautiful.

[Karla looked around in a panic for a moment before hearing the voice behind her. Once she turned and recognized the person, she smiled.]

Oh, hello. Were you caught in this mess, too?

Yup, pretty much. You wouldn't believe how much extra time it's taking me to get home.

[Zelos laughed, folding his hands behind his head. He hoped that would ease anymore of her concerns.]

So, welcome to Everglade. How long've you been caught up in this mess?

Oh...I've been lost all day, trying to get to the Coliseum in Attleton. Needless to say, I won't reach that place today.

[She just shrugs.]

So, is Everglade your home then? Which way should I go to reach the archway gate?

Yeah, I've been living in Everglade for a while. One of my old housemates liked the gloomy atmosphere in this place for some reason.

[Seriously, what did people like about this city? Even Fai was attached to it.]

THe Archway's back the other way, buuut I'm guessing getting you back isn't gonna be that simple, huh?
