[Yeah.... Ever since that date auction, Gou has decided to avoid Sousuke for a while. So whenever she came home from work, she immediately headed towards her room. If nothing else, she could always hide in her bathroom and take a bath. He wouldn't come in there of all places, right? Okay. She just needed to head to her bathroom....]

[Nagisa sighed slightly, he knew it was coming. Ever since that whole auction, he knew he was going to get a telling off from someone. Either Rin, which he figured was the most likely one, or Sousuke.

Either way he had chosen to simply wait for the inevitable and sat by the pool quietly, a bag of candy in his hands as he had taken one out and placed it in his mouth.]

[Sousuke had been bad at catching Gou after the auction. A part of him actually wanted to let her be, but he also wanted to talk with Gou about what went on. Nagisa's words were still stuck in his head after all.

So, this time he'll just stop her from even entering her room, since he actually has that chance, seeing as he had a day off and she didn't.]

... welcome home.

[That's the thing you say after blocking her escape route?]

[Well, at least one of them is easy to catch.

Sousuke's still annoyed over the whole auction thing and ending up in there in the first place. That's why he really needs to have a word with Nagisa. Even if it almost feels like he's being a strict parent.

Without actually asking, Sousuke sits down next to Nagisa by the pool.]

So. Is there anything you want to say or should I do the talking?

[Nagisa had placed another sweet in his mouth, chewing on it quietly. He knew what he should say, but he didn't feel bad or sorry for his actions. He did it for good reason, at least in his own mind.]

I assume you want me to apologize.

[Crap. He wasn't supposed to catch her this early...]

Oh uhm... T-thanks.... [Looking for a way out of this!!]

Gou... please. Let's talk.

[Please don't run away from him. He just wants to chat.]

But she'll just sigh. She's been caught. May as well face the music here...]

[Sousuke figures Nagisa did it with a good reason and didn't feel like he did anything bad. He just wished the boy would sometimes talk about his ideas before going through with them.]

I just wanted to know why I was in the auction the first place and why you rallied the prize. The girls were spending too much already...

[Sousuke's urge to swim had grown stronger. The more he spent time by the pools in Sametobi, the more he felt the need to just go all out in the water. Sometimes it was too much to actually resist and the pain got worse. The amount he's had to skip work had increased with it and there really weren't many options left for Sousuke to choose from.

It was time to talk to his employer first. He knows Gou must have been worried because of his continued absences anyway so it was better to tell her what was going on.

And Rin.. he would have to tell Rin as well. After he would tell Gou.

Sousuke knocked on Gou's door and waited. He looked more serious than usual today.]

[It is awkward, but it can't be helped.]

Should we find a more private place?

[Gou had been worried about him, but she couldn't exactly bring herself to ask him why he had been skipping. She managed to do what she needed to to cover, but she wasn't sure how long she could last like this. Hearing him knock, she went over to open the door.]

Oh, Sousuke-kun. Did you need something? [Like to tell her important information perhaps?]

Uhm.. Yeah.

[She'll just lead them to the study. If there were people there, she could always cut her way through her walk in closet to her room where she knows that no one else would bother them. She doesn't even have to ask to know what this was about.]

There's something we need to talk about. Can I come in?

[While the others in the house knew about him already, Sousuke didn't want Rin to accidentally overhear him say something he wanted to say. sorry ssk he will anyway]

[Sousuke's not really sure how to start this conversation, really. It was a bit awkward, after all.]

... how are you?

Yeah, sure. [Moving out of the way to let him in her room.]

Uhm... I'm fine... Just a little busy is all... [Running a business and all.... but she wasn't nearly as busy as she claimed to be.]

[Sousuke walks in and waits until Gou closes the door and is ready to listen.]

It's about work. You've probably noticed I've been absent a lot.

Busy enough not to have to time to talk with me, apparently.

W-well... Yeah... Sort of...? [SIGH.] We're.... talking now though?

[Once he's in, she'll do just that before returning to sit on the end of her bed. She did have a small loveseat in her room for when she had others in here or decided to read or something, so it was an option if he wanted to sit down for this.]

I have. You're lucky that you're a friend otherwise I would have fired you. [JOKING! She's joking! But jokes aside...] Why have you been skipping work lately...? [She's worried okay?]

Yeah.

[He was just trying to start a conversation but it turned awkward too didn't it.]

So... that auction.

[He does laugh at that little - but only very little. It's followed by a sigh and he drops the jacket he's wearing, to reveal his injured shoulder that shows clearly because he has a sleeveless shirt. It's once again red, like it was in the relay against Iwatobi.]

I though it would be nice, that's all. Also so that you would speak to more people.

[Was that the actual truth... Who knows really. He did do a lot without saying anything about it. Like he was still doing things without telling people.]

[Nagisa had started to keep to himself, even around the house. There had been a reason for such thing and a good enough reason for him at least. So whenever it wasn't time to eat, Nagisa found himself sitting by the pool, Ai-chan; his Labrador puppy sitting happily by his side, wagging her tail happily as Nagisa simply smiled a small smile at her and held her lightly.]
