There wasn't much in the way of warning with her arrival. For those who were sensitive to the energies around them it would be like a very soft whistle for a moment but for the rest of the world it would probably seem as though Bridget, along with a rather large trunk, suddenly appeared in front of the Fairy Tail guild yard. It wasn't teleportation at least, just a speed that was extremely difficult to comprehend. Pale eyes made a full sweep of the area including air and ground before starting towards the doorway with the intention to knock.

Not that it would probably be needed if her assumptions were true. There would be watchers and Natsu's nose available to announce her arrival. She did knock anyways as it was the polite thing to do.

[If it wasn't for the fact that he recognized the scent, Natsu would have already been in battle mode. AS it were he was simply looking straight at the door moments before the knock came. He turns over to Lucy and gives her a nod.]

You should go answer that. It's safe don't worry.

[ Lucy had tensed at that shift in air, that almost whistling sensation that preceded Bridget's arrival. Of course she'd let Natsu along with the rest know she was coming. Justyne and Regina were napping upstairs, meaning Nev was practically underfoot, young enough to know there was trouble in Fayren, but too young to get the details. Ignorance is bliss. He'd parked himself at a table with some milk and cookies, but at the knock on the door he got up and scrambled for the stairs.

Lucy really worried about what effect this was having on the kids, given what they'd been through. With Natsu's all-clear though, she padded over to the door, opening it for their guest and temporary lodger. ]

Right on time; Come on in Bridget.

[She was looking around still when the door opened though her gaze quickly turned towards Lucy with a slightly wry quirk at the corner of her mouth. Bridget was on her best behavior for the moment since she remembered there being kids around and the simple fact that she was a guest without a full understanding of the current situation. And she wasn't sure if Lucy would carry a notch against her for the whole mice thing.]

Perhaps... Though I feel like I'm a week or two late noticing the situation thanks to the brat next door. I need to complete my information webs to carry between the gates.

[She'll enter at the invitation while levitating the large trunk in after her and sending it into a corner to prevent anyone from tripping over it. Anyone trying to lift the thing would be met by hundreds of pounds of books and weaponry packed in a way only the military could manage. Her pale eyes landed on Natsu for a moment and a nod of greeting before glancing at the stairs and the sounds of someone smaller out of sight at the top. It was only a moment before she turned her attention back to the duo.]

At least I can leave that up to Fai and Haller for a while and catch up with the events here. I always considered information to be more powerful than might or magic and I am lacking in information. My immediate preference would be being told who needs additional protection and where so that we can discuss actual plans without tension but I am not the one living here.

[A slightly hesitant pause before she adds...]

If it helps to give a gauge of my offer of assistance...?

[He quickly made his way over to Lucy's side since it seemed she has something big to talk about with Bridget.]

That's a big chest. You brought it all the way on your own huh?

[Yeah it doesn't look that bad to him though. He's lifted heavier things after all Lucy included

[ Lucy glanced up the stairs after the little boy that ran off- he'd probably be curled up in his room with Herb. Fortunately for Bridget, though she thought the 'comment' was in poor taste and even rude, she wasn't one to hold grudges over things like that - that'd be dumb of her. Especially when there were much more important things tot worry about. ]

Monitoring the network might be easier - you don't have to leave your home to find out what's going on in other cities. That would probably take more time from your schedule, wouldn't it?

[ She glanced at the chest as Natsu commented on it, curiosity gnawing at her, but she managed to suppress thte questions. Especially since Natsu asked anyway. Osnap someone wants to sleep in the doghouse i see! ]

That would help, yes. We'll need to know what you're capable of, after all. [ So she could figure out the best area that Bridget would be stationed, if it came down to a fight - especially an all out attack on the guild. ]

As far as who will need additional protection - you don't have to worry about Natsu or myself, but everyone else in the guild takes priority. They're citizens, and only some of them practice magic, but - too afraid to stand out on their own. If you see a girl with wavy blonde hair and the same guild mark as us, that would be our guild master. She should be protected as well.

[ Though she didn't see Mavis around the guild much, it was just as likely they missed each other. ]

True, I'll probably do that while the sun is up and I'm pinned to one spot. It'll give me at least an idea of where to start digging deeper.

[Bridget shrugged slightly. The network was only available to those who came from outside the five cities and it was easy to make public only what the sender wanted to be seen or heard.]

[The change in topic wasn't unwelcome or anything she'd intended on keeping hidden from her new hosts and Bridget smiled at Natsu's honest curiosity.]

That would be the necessities to keep me clothed and entertained. I wasn't sure how much space you'd be able to offer for me so I kept the luggage to a minimum. Five changes of clothes, toiletries, some bits and pieces I picked off Vlad's spawn, a bunch of books, a few weapons for personal use, and a few orders I've been working on for Rocks.

[A slight pause as she glanced around with the eyes of someone so very used to protecting just that very type of group Natsu and Lucy had taken in. Hunted for the very thing they weren't strong enough to use in their own defense.]

Do you know if this hand group actually has any 'talent' they're using against the gifted? Or perhaps any anti-talent? The quickest and easiest way to defend a place is to simply create a field around it where anyone with ill intent encounters base mental interference. Forgetting why they came, remembering some more pressing matter, feeling sleepy or ill... It's quite different from regular magic or spiritual power but anything that negates power is worth knowing about.
