[On the video feed is an androgynous figure in a blue hat, looking more than a bit confused, and more than a bit frustrated.]

Good afternoon. I am Naoto Shirogane, and if I have read the information correctly, I have been brought to this place for... unknown reasons. I seem to be in need of employment and housing as well. I am a trained independent detective, and would be glad to put those skills to use wherever they might be needed.

[After her message, Naoto can be found wandering around the city, every so often pulling out the map she was given and making notes in the margins. Knowing where she is will help quite a lot in figuring out where she needs to be.

However, as wrapped up as she is in herself, she probably doesn't realize that she might be getting a bit too close to others. She'll absolutely apologize if she bumps into you!]

For what it's worth, you being brought here was not my doing.

[Well, I'm sure this is just who you wanted to see on arrival, Naoto.

On one hand, it frustrated her that people from Inaba were being dragged to another world without her intervention, on the other...she couldn't deny she was happy to see someone she knew.

Izanami appeared on the video feed as she had when first revealed herself; fog clinging slightly to the white burial shroud she wore.]

We meet again, daughter of man.

[There's a rare sight on the other end of the feed: Naoto utterly confused and spluttering.]

Izanami-sama? What are you... how in the world could you?

[She coughs, pulling herself back together. This is not the way to start this, she reasons, taking a breath.]

My apologies, I let my surprise get away from me.

It is... some comfort to realize that it is not your doing, but also more than a little frustrating, as it means there is someone else out there with the power to do this.

[She finds it weird that people have phones but then never call each other. They always use the video function.]

Aren't you a little young to be a detective?

[Not that Airy is any good with telling ages, in fact she's absolutely awful at it, which is why she sounds a little unsure of herself when she replies.]

[Pixy was in the city today and on his way to the library, since he had a couple of books to exchange. They nearly bumped into each other, but his eyes caught the young detective and got himself to stop before bumping into Naoto.]

Hey kid, you should pay better attention than that. Unless the hat's blockin' your field of vision.

[He knows it's not the hat but rather the map, but that's not about to stop him from poking at her.]

[Well, confused was better than terrified, in any case. It was a pleasant enough surprise that she was still willing to show her respect, even after everything that had happened.]

After your little group defeated me...I was drawn into this world, just as you have been.

In the circumstances, 'frustrating' is a fair comment. As you said, it means there is a force in this world with power enough to rival my own, another force hidden in the fog.

[Naoto's voice is startled, but confident.]

Yes, in many places I would be seen as too young, however, in spite of my age, I have been taking cases since I was thirteen, so I have quite a few years' worth of experience.

[She looks up, glaring for a moment, before calming herself.]

My apologies. I should be paying more attention to my surroundings.

As is likely obvious by my actions, I am new here and attempting to find my way around.

Ah. Circumstances aside, I must admit it is good to see a familiar face.

[If there is one thing Naoto has learned in her few short years, it is that the most important thing is to show others respect, no matter what. The tiny smile on her face that quickly turns into a thoughtfully frustrated expression.]

Is there any information at all about this mysterious force? If even your power is pulled in by it, is there any hope at all of returning home?

[He seems to smirk in response to her glare. He's not sure which part of his comment prompted it but it amused him either way.]

I kinda figured. Only someone new would be usin' a physical map and not the one on the videophone.

[He casually points over his shoulder with his thumb.]

The Schnee travel building's that way. Might be a good start to get your bearings around here once you're done exploring.

[There is awe in her voice.]

[She nods, glancing in the direction he pointed, and taking note of the area.]

In general, I prefer a physical map, as it is easier to write notes on for my future information.

[A shrug and a formal bow.]

Most of my casework has been the complicated ones that the police were not able to solve. I have worked everything from embezzlement to serial murder.

[There's a pause for a moment.]

Twenty-six cases, to be precise.

That... sounds like a lot.

[Clearly she does this a lot.]

Why not work for the police here?

[Airy might feel better having someone that amazing working there.]

Just look at what sort of things this place brings here. You'll fit in with all the other misfits here.

Are they hiring? That would be a solid possibility. My skills are certainly on par with those of most police departments.

[She pauses, thinking.]

Where can I find the police here?

[She's glaring, one of her sharpest expressions.]

And why have they not thrown you in jail again here? Is the police department that lax?

[No comment on the misfits. Not yet anyway.]

Again? Oooohhhh, you're from the future like Amagi is, aren't you? You see, that never happened to me.

Besides, I don't even know if they have a jail here.

[She's quiet for a moment, hand to her chin thinking.]

If you are truly from my past, I apologize for judging you for actions that you have not committed.

I'm sure you would have heard of the Amagi Inn eventually. That's where I stayed when I arrived.

[Much to Yukiko's displease, naturally.]

Aww geez, what to do. Do I accept? This is a problem.

[Another familiar face is always good. Especially somewhere new and foreign.]

[She actually has no idea and Naoto can hear Airy rustling through her things to find her map and open it.]

[There is another pause.]

I can text you the address. I'm sure the police are always hiring...

[She thinks that's a thing.]

Funny. You sound like you really think I would really care about your apology.

[Suddenly he's much more darker in attitude than he was.]

Stupid kids. Think you know everything.

There are many things I can deduce from circumstance, and I believe that I am more observant than most people.

[Hello, tiny detective! Here is a tiny apprentice. He's trying to put a new sign up outside of his tea shop. The decal is sticking to the window just fine, but Luke is fairly certain that nobody would notice it, as it's probably at eye-level for your average ten-year-old.

If he was putting more attention on the fact that he was standing in the middle of the sidewalk--and putting less attention on the decal he was scrutinizing--he would have spared himself a collision with Naoto. Unfortunately, he wasn't paying enough attention. Evidently, she wasn't either. Scrambling to straighten his hat and apologize all at once, Luke turns to the stranger.]

[She's better off than he was when he first got here, that's for sure.]

[Yukiko was a tiny bit happy that someone she knew was here, but yet at the same time... she had grown use to people coming and going. Except Adachi...who she swears will probably be stuck here for as long as she has. Just seemed to be her luck. Shifting the bags she had in her arms before moving closer.]

A detective, hmm? [Why yes, he is talking without moving his mouth.] I may have need of your skills in that case.

Well, this place is very different from Inaba, so something like that happening is highly unlikely.
