[Ruby had intended to have a talk with Yang this morning. Fill her in on everything, maybe satisfy her curiosity enough to avoid going to the Dream Docks but... she was too late. Yang's room was occupied only by a hastily scribbled note. A note that Ruby had nearly broke down over. As it was, she was on her way to the Dream Docks, hood pulled up and over her face. The least she could do is be there when Yang and Pyrrha woke up.]

Yang and Pyrrha... have gone to the Dream Docks. They apparently sneaked out last night. I'm going to go camp out there until they wake up. They're... gonna need someone there.

[There's a pause as she considers ending the message there, but she hesitates and then adds another message. She didn't know if it would fall on deaf ears or not, but on the off chance that it didn't...]

And Blake, if you're here... talk to me. That isn't a request. That's an order as Team RWBY's leader. You owe us that much.

[Talk? Well considering that this place has just dropped Cinder on them all, she may have no choice. Not like they'll find her unless she wants to be found anyway. It's a big place.

Well Ozpin might respect her wishes, but she knows that Torchwick isn't going to keep his mouth shut for long. She's still seething over the casual way he approached her like he hadn't just helped destroy their school. Several videos got deleted and started over while she agonized over whether or not to post this.]

.......I thought Ozpin would fill you in. [Hesitation and a pause. Her gaze falters.] How is Yang?

I haven't exactly been... social the last couple days.

[Just when she thought she was getting used to things again too...]

She was fine. She only remembered clearing out the Grimm that Torchwick led into Vale from Mountain Glenn. Now though...

[She shakes her head, frustration settling into her face.]

And what about you? Why didn't you let us know you were back!?

Back? [Blake blinks, confused. Maybe the first guy that thought she had been here already wasn't a fluke. This is certainly a place that doesn't make any sense. Is this how Alice felt when she fell into Wonderland?]

Yeah, you were here for a while, but apparently you went back to Remnant for a bit around the same time I did. ...But you're back... why didn't you tell us?

I don't know what happened before. I have no memory of that. ........because people who stick close to me get hurt.

And the people you leave behind get hurt worse!

[She blurts it out, jerking her head to the side after so all Blake can see is the hood over her face.]

...It's been about a month since Yang lost her arm... and she still hasn't gotten out of bed. She thinks you abandoned her.

And if I stay you'll end up dead! You think Adam's done with me?!

I...I never meant for that. [She can't even look at Ruby at all now.] I didn't want him to find out about the rest of you.

I just couldn't let anyone else get hurt trying to save me. It's my fault! I couldn't even do anything but writhe on the ground while he....[She chokes off at that sentence before regaining her composure.] It should have been me. He hurt her because of me.

I would rather die fighting alongside my friends than live, scared out of my mind for what might be going on.

We're a team, Blake. Everyone has lost something, I watched two of my friends die and there wasn't a thing I could do to stop it. Yes, things are bad at home, but here we have each other. You're not protecting us from anything by going off on your own Blake.

Remember when we took on Torchwick in the Paladin? Or fought the Grimm in Vale? We are all stronger when we stand together, and Yang needs that support now more than ever. We need you.

[ oh, hm. someone spilled about blake before he did. wonder who that was. probably an asshole named torchwick. ]

Bad? The kingdoms don't trust one another anymore all thanks to the stunt Cinder pulled. It's worse than bad. ....................[She's still not convinced that being around them is a good thing for their longevity.

She looks pained at the mention of Yang's name. It would be deserving if the blonde never wanted to see her face again.]

I....I don't know, Ruby. It's not like I really want to be apart from you either. But if Cinder is here and Torchwick is here then Adam might not be far behind.

I trust she's aware of what is happening within the city.

I also trust that you are both intelligent enough to know that encountering Cinder alone is a poor idea.

[ ruby had walked away, and ozpin is proud of her. but he also wouldn't put it past cinder to deliberately goad her into attacking first. ]

I'm still kind of surprised she responded but I'm glad she did.

That's part of why I'm staying nearby. If Cinder or Torchwick come by, I don't want them to be too vulnerable.

Oh and Yang brought her Pokemon with her to keep watch, apparently.

[She's just going to casually attach a picture of a giant literal firebird glaring at her. But Ruby hasn't given up, she wants to be Moltres' friend after all.]

No, they don't trust each other anymore, we can't count on them anymore, but... that's why we have to count on each other!

Even if this Adam guy does show up, four against one is definitely better odds than one against one. We need to stick together Blake.

...And you owe it to Yang to be here when she wakes up.

No! I don't want any of you near Adam! Can't you see? That's the point! [Blake looks clearly frightened and frustrated.]

....I....[There's some deflation and hesitation there. She looks conflicted. A big part of her does want to go. If anything Yang deserves to yell at her. But like usual, she's afraid of confrontation. And afraid that if she is near them they will succeed in convincing her to stay, because the truth is they are her real family, the only real one she's had since her other became someone she didn't recognize. But if she gets another one of them hurt she doesn't know how she'll handle it.]

I...Ruby...I'll think about it. [She bites her lip and looks down.]

[Ruby is just going to sigh. She can understand the fear, but seeing what it did to Yang... she really feels stuck between a rock and a hard place.]

We're not giving up on you, Blake. Please don't give up on us.

{ ... first weiss has a giant dragon, and yang apparently has a flaming hellbird.

ozpin would be surprised, but he's totally.. not surprised. ]

[Ruby just shrugs a bit, belatedly remembering this is a text conversation.]

They just kind of show up sometimes from their world. If you're curious, I think the Deputy Guardian of Fayren is from that world.

They show up, and allow you to catch them for pets?

Are they all sentient?

idk I wasn't here when it happened.

They're at least as smart as Zwei, and he's pretty smart.
