As for everythin' else, I already read some shit, I'm pretty much up to pace. Seems like I left the stage before the main events were beginning to take place- real fuckin' letdown if you ask me. [but hey, any drama that's going on isn't his problem.]

I do not have things figured out nor would I assume so, as I keep running into oddities every day. Then again, I only arrived here a couple of days ago, so there is much I still do not know of Genessia or of the other cities here.

But, that is also true. Even in my own home you could live there a lifetime and still not know everything there is of the world there, and to assume the same is not true of this place would be foolish.

[A strong feminine voice sounds behind him as a woman clad in green steps up next to his seat at the bar. Waves of dark brown fall over her shoulders as she leans against the counter, her delicate hands lightly resting on the edge of the polished surface.]

Can I please have a beer?

[Kahlan glanes over at the man to her left and flashes him an apologetic smile.]

[She's waiting for someone and a seat near the bar seems to be the best place to be found.]

It is more that I am not quite used to talking to many. My uncle did most of the talking when we sold our wares, and he is the only family I have. I did not speak much with many people as a result.

As for my home... My country is quite large, and it trades with many across the continent. The world is larger than I could probably experience in my life, or at least so my uncle has told me.

[Kahlan notices his discomfort with a curious gaze. She's used to men being uncomfortable around her however since arriving here few knew of her abilities and it had been nice to be treated like a normal woman. Now she wonders if he knew or is just uncomfortable around women.]
