3 Failed Attempts at World Domination [Action]

[Have you been to Nova City lately? If not, you might be in for a bit of a surprise. Just like Wily promised, he's upped the defenses of the place. There's now robots set up protecting pretty keeping watch at every street corner. Some of them are just those little yellow, head in a helmet Met bots that he started out with, but there's more advanced green human shaped Sniper Joes around too, along with a number of other machines keeping the streets "safe."

At the center of the high tech city, there are two new buildings that are still in the works, but are nearly complete. One if a large factory to produce more of Wily's machines and the other is a large skyscraper that just so happens to be the largest building in the city, (but only about half the size of Wily's ego.) there's a stylized "Dr.W" sign at the top, just in case anyone was wondering who this belonged too.

Wily himself can be found down in front of the skyscraper, he's commanding his robots around while he types away at something on a laptop. If you want to bug him, feel free.]

[Satsuki's wandering has brought her to Nova City; she's never seen it's 'old' version, but it doesn't make the sights any less impressive.

What's surprising to her, though, is that the presence of so many robots doesn't make her feel as uncomfortable as she believes she should be. Maybe it's because she's still groggy from having awoken not too long ago but..

Her casual stride brings her eventually toward Dr Wily himself whom appears to be immersed within technology..

Perhaps he may be someone worth socializing with, she thinks, and so gets straight to the point.]

I wish to speak with Doctor W.

[Wily hardly seems to be paying attention at Satsuki approaches him. He'll shoo her away with one hand when she speaks up.]

Can't you see I'm busy here? Come back later.

[He'll pause and reconsider for a moment, he is the guardian of the city after all.]

On second thought, I suppose I can spare a little of my precious time, what do you need? Make it quick.

[Well that is certainly.. Different. Satsuki isn't used to being brushed off, and she doesn't like it. Thankfully he reconsiders, and stone-frown expression softens slightly. She'll have to tread carefully for now.]

Is it not obvious? The moment anyone would set foot upon these streets they would be struck with a desire to meet the brilliant mind behind this city's layout.

I presume this would be Doctor W's doing.

[Wait... Was someone actually stroking his ego? Huh, apparently there was someone in this place with half a brain. Wily's actually impressed.]

Well, you certainly have a good eye for fortifications then.

You're speaking to that very man, I'm Doctor Albert W. Wily, the current guardian of this Sub-City and the genius behind it's defenses.

[Not that she really had the time to confirm the quality of his work, but it seems she has plenty of time for that later.

After he asks her name, her gaze grows intense, and the sunlight behind her briefly reflects off glass in such a way it's almost blinding!]

[Too dramatic? Never. Whomever was messing with the window places it back in the proper position that deflects the light elsewhere.]

I've only recently arrived; forgive my not recognizing a man of your title.

[It's your least favourite supporter! Of course she's been to Nova City, because she's not convinced that it's even going to stay open to the general public. People like Wily eventually say 'nuts to everyone.' That Attleton guy did it, after all.

She's trying to get a good look at that factory for a while - at least until she sees Wily. Then she's just inching her way closer to him. She's holding Bit in her arms, dressed for the cold. She gives a low whistle.]

Look at that double-ya. Compensating for something?

[Well, strong defenses are one of Wily's specialties, so they certainly are top of the line

...What the heck is with that glare!? He'll pull out a pair of sunglasses from inside his lab coat and put them on until she's finished introducing herself and whoever was messing around with that window decides to knock it off.

Wily isn't used to dealing with someone who actually has manners around here, it's refreshing.]

Well now you know, I imagine the same thing wont happen twice. Honnoji Acedemy? I'm sure I've heard someone scream about that before around here...

[Satsuki can't help but smirk a bit; it's clear that Wily isn't just your average old man. And with the way she was brought up, she can be patient when she needs to be- especially when she feels she can gain something from it.

Then, the young lady looks further intrigued.]

Have you? It is my duty to keep my fellow students in line, so I would be grateful if you could describe their appearance for me.

I can't say I've actually seen him, just heard him talking over the communicator while I was working. Very loud young man, liked to scream at the top of his lungs about discipline or something.

I thought he was just mad.

[Hey, Wily doesn't mind her, she was dumb enough to actually vote for him after all.

He'll just grunt when she finally speaks up.]

Yes, for people with below average intelligence. Even with a sign this big there'll still be people that can't figure out where I've set up shop.

Ah, yes, I know who it is you refer to. I can understand the confusion, but he is simply very passionate toward any task he gives himself.

[And with that her smile fades.]

That aside, I would be very interested in hearing about your vision of this city's future. Judging by what I have seen thus far, they must be great.

Oh. One of those types, is he?

[He can't outright say that he plans to take over all of Genessia and prove to all of it's citizens that he is indeed the greatest scientific mind in this and any other world, but he can tell her what he's told everyone else.]

My vision, eh? This is only the first step in what I have planned, you see. The main city, Genessia, was attacked just over a month ago by a massive creature of unfathomable power. We managed to pull together and fend the beast off but I knew that wouldn't be enough, we had to be prepared if we were attacked again. I became guardian of this Sub-City to make sure I was able to provide for this place to the best of my ability.

The next step will be to spread my creations into the other areas, and eventually I'll need to gather the support of the others that have been brought here. The reality is we wont truly be safe until we're all united.

[Satsuki responds with a short nod. Little else needs to be said about Ira as far as she's concerned. That said she doesn't seem completely satisfied by his answer; if only because it seems so... Bland.

She supposes she shouldn't be surprised, but thankfully what he's created as a result is far more interesting.

Satsuki gives a thoughtful pause.]

From what I've seen you're quite passionate about your work. And to take the weight of a city's problems upon your shoulders, your ambition and drive powered by great wisdom and intelligence.. I am impressed; today's youth should be inspired by you, Doctor!

However, I'm certain you realized you will need a younger mouthpiece to appeal to that demographic, did you not? I would like to meet that person as well.

[Someone is silently standing behind Wily and looking over his shoulder at the computer screen. He is also eating an apple too.]

[He unfortunately can't let slip that he plans to take over this place and prove his superior genius and might to the world because there's someone who might let slip that he kind of rigged the election to become Guardian. So she has to deal with bland answers for now.]

They should but it seems to youth of today could use a lesson in respect.

[He'll twirl his mustache a bit at the mention of a mouth piece.]

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea, I don't have a person for the job quite yet... But I think I may be looking at her right now...

The computer screen just has the blue prints and designs up for his big skyscraper, as well as a command prompt for his more simple minded machines.]

[Another nod, and then the council president raises her hand to her chin, pretending to be thoughtful. Of course she suspected no such person existed; but for the moment she had no intention of accepting.

That is an extremely generous offer, but I cannot accept. At least not before I experience a combat demonstration with one of your creations.

I understand this is short notice, so it would not have to be today, Doctor.

[Wily wasn't quite prepared to accept another partner right away anyways, he had his hands full with Skeletor and "M" at the moment.]

A combat demonstration? That's simple enough. Most of my more advanced models are out on other tasks, but I'm sure one of them could be back in a flash to preform a demonstration.

However if you've only just arrived recently, perhaps it would be best to let you get settled before we look into any demonstrations.

It's a shame too, cause you are obviously a genius to be able to build things like these robots. I just wish you would have been using them for good all along.

Though seriously, getting settled is a very good idea to Satsuki; she'll need to get in contact with the others amongst other things.

She'll also hold off on requesting residence here until later, so simply makes a mental note for now. Finally, she bows her head.]

You kind of are. I think it is expected in elderly people, but you could try to tone it down. Being smarter doesn't give you the right to be that way.
