You know, you wouldn't think boredom would be a problem here, what with the whole stranded in another reality part. But it is.

[Danny makes a face.]

There aren't even any decent movies on.

Please tell me someone here has ideas?

[Otherwise he's going to resort to going out patrolling again. At night, For the fifth night in a row. With no villainous ghosts to fight its getting really old.]

[When the video feed comes on, Ronan is reclining on the porch of Terra's place, smoking a cigarette.]

You know there's a video store, right kid?

What sort of movies do you like? I started watching only horror movies I found at this one video store.

They're... interesting.

[She laughs at the memory of that last one. It's sort of been like rift-tracks of horror movies.]

[Levy laughs.]

It's one of my favorites too. They have a lot of different types of movies too. I think I can dig up the address and send it to you.

[She usually stops there after work and just knows where it is. She has to remember what street it's on.]

Are you saying every movie in this place blows? Because I was kind of holding out on there being decent flicks to mindlessly zone out to when I felt like ignoring any and all responsibility.

[Uh oh, boredom. One of the few things that could permanently disappear someone for good. Time to get the brain trust on it.]

"You must not get out much. A world full of aliens, none of whom you find interesting to so much as talk to? Tell me you're not serious. And so many things to do! I just had the opportunity to learn how to build a house. And get paid for it! I think; didn't work out that detail.

And of course there's the literature. I hope you've been keeping it up on that, at least. You can't tell me something as primal as books does nothing for you. [You callow youth.]

But if you're brain isn't up to any of that, there's always your body. What about martial arts? I know a great teacher, and could even pass along what I know, though I'll be tempted to beat you within an inch of your life. I hear near-death experiences are terribly interesting.

I've seen some with good plot ideas but they are never executed well. I like bad special effects though.

[It's hysterical.]

Oh, I found the address. Give me a second.

[She'll shot him a text with the address.]

Dodgeball's pretty fun. More fun with paint-filled water balloons, but not bad.

Carnival games?

No problem. I'm thinking of starting a horrible horror movie night. Would you be interested in something like that?

[Right now she has mostly girls interested.]

[She was choosing to go with her nicey, nice persona for the time being.]

Well I'm pretty sure movies exist in this world. I know I've seen something like that.

[The next reply is delayed somewhat as he, social media guru he is, goes through other replies. He just can't seem to win with most of these interlocutors, so he's gonna see if any others made headway with this guy. Levy. Of course. Thank goodness no one uses the private function. Or do they; how would one know? Mystery upon mysteries...]

Perish the--undeniably attractive--thought. Though roughhousing comes with the territory for that. One last attempt at broadening horizons: are you familiar with pokemon?
