You are invited to my Birthday Party!
I’m turning 16 and I want to celebrate with everyone.

[The Cat’s Eye has been closed for the party though all are welcome to come in. They don’t even need to know Sakura personally. Inside are pink and tan streamers draped along the walls with bright balloons tied to chairs and flowers placed as center pieces on tables. There are a few figures of the deputy guardian mixed in with the decorations thanks to Fai wanting to completely embarrass the birthday girl.

Despite turning 16 it looks more like a child’s party with the intent to have fun. There is pin the tail on the donkey set up, a piñata hanging in the corner that is in the shape of a flower, birthday cake and strawberry Jell-o.]

[ooc: feel free to make top posts and mingle. There are mostly sweets and snacks set out for people to eat and maybe a scavenger hunt later?? If I can think of something for that idea.]

[Sakura can be found with a smile on her lips wherever she is. She tries to gather some of the Sakura dolls and hide them behind the register but Fai seems determined to keep the miniature little figures out for all to see. Even as a princess she’s never had to worry about this sort of notoriety.

When someone walks in she turns.]

Hello!

[There may or may not be a little figure of herself in her hand.]

"Hi, Sakura. Happy birthday!"

[As Anastasia brings herself fully inside, she is followed by a young man around Sakura's age. He wore a blue military-style dress suit and had his long, red hair tied back in a low ponytail. He was quite a handsome fellow and it's no wonder Anastasia speaks highly of him. He was carrying a large, flat rectangular present on his back.

Once Anastasia confirmed her companion was in, she smiled at her best friend.]

"Sakura, this is Noah. My personal guard. Noah, this is Sakura."

"Nice to meet you... Where do you want this?"

[azaleafae]

[Azalea steps into the cafe to visit. She actually doesn't know what to do beyond that.]

Sakura? I'm here...

[Sakura smiles at him.]

There is a table over there.

[She points off to a small table that's out of the way. There isn't anything on it yet so his addition will be the first.]

It's nice to see you Anastasia. Thank you for coming.

Welcome! Thank you for coming!

[Sakura smiles brightly, clearly having a good time.]

Make yourself at home. We have snacks set up for people too.

Hello. Are you really 16 years old now?

[She thinks it's amazing, because even the oldest dragons are only three years.]

Yup! We usually just have family dinners but I wanted all my friends to come so I thought something like this would be better.

[She's still very young.]

[azaleafae]

Wow, that's a long time. I'll only turn two years old next month myself.

[How's that for young?]

It's probably different for dragons.

[She knows some animals that only live for 10 years and others who live for centuries.]

Why not try some of the snacks? We have jell-o

Probably. Dragons do seem to mature quickly after hatching. Especially if they get into a maturity scroll.

[But honestly, dragons mature quickly enough without the scroll. Azalea raises her eyes at the snacks.]

"Jell-o?" What is "jell-o"?

Why not try it and see? It's really yummy.

[She made it special for this party.]

They're all strawberry flavored.

"I wouldn't miss this for anything."

[Anastasia's guard carries the large gift to the table and leans it up against it. Its a fragile gift. Then, he proceeded to thedoor.]

"I'll be back in a couple of hours to pick you up, Princess."

[Anastasia tries to stop him.] "You won't stay and entertain us?"

[He sighs. They've been over this before.] "As much as I want to make your dreams come true, I simply can't. See you around." [And he's gone.

Anastasia turned back to Sakura.]

"What do you think of him, Sakura? He's cute, right? Its a shame he's not the real Noah."

[spitfireprincess]

[Sakura watches as the boy leaves, her lips forming a slight frown.]

He is pretty. Is that the boy you like?

[He doesn't seem to like her. It's almost sad and an empty part of Sakura's heart aches in response to the thought.]

[azaleafae]

Well...I suppose I can try a little bit of it...

[You know who would be there without a doubt. He had no idea it was her birthday, so he certainly wasn't as prepared as he'd like to be. By that, he of course means being ready on what kind of gift he'd want to get for her. But, he never was good at picking out gifts - even for his own sisters back in the day - and, while it may have been cheating, he did still have a big stuffed animal he'd been meaning to give her that he'd won for her at that carnival. Almost a month later. Shame on him. He'll make it up to her by maybe taking her out later and let her pick something out.

For the time being, though, Sakura may find there to be a very large pink bunny plush right in front of her face, with Gale putting on a high-pitched voice to speak for the bunny.]

Heyyy, birthday girl! Hoppy birthday!

[Goddammit Gale, again with the puns.]

[She nods once.]

"It is. He's been a wonderful friend since we were little. On the day we met, he snuck into my garden just to meet me."

[Sakura pauses and waves at others who are walking into the door.]

That sounds amazing. He must really care about you.

[Which is good.]

[Bright excited laughter falls from Sakura's lips as Gale holds up the bunny in front of her.]

Gale!

[She knows it's him.]

It's adorable!

[Sakura loves every pun and every funny voice he throws at her.]

"I wish he was more open, though. It might get me an idea on how my Noah back home thinks and feels."

[She tries to smile.]

"So, when do you open your gifts?"

[azaleafae]

[Azalea takes a tiny bite from the jell-o, not knowing how well her digestive system would be able to handle it.]

Mmm...it actually has a...rather nice taste. I like it.

[Richard was happy to attend Sakura's birthday party, whether or not there was cake. He'd thought a long time about what to give her as a gift, even though, knowing her, she wouldn't want anything in the first place.

He thought back on the first conversation he'd had with her, and decided to make something. He worked all night on it, not having much time to prepare. When he arrived, he was tired from work and from not sleeping the night before, but it was a party, and he'd come with a purpose.

He waiting until she was free, smiling as he offered her the small gift wrapped in bleached linen.]

Happy Birthday, Sakura. This one may not give you any memories back, but maybe it will help you make new ones.

Hello again.

[ It's been a little strange, getting settled there with a girl who had been a complete stranger, but at last it seems like Van is beginning to relax a little more, even smiling. It's hard not to when she is almost constantly so cheerful, that kind of attitude is infectious after all. ]

I'm afraid I don't have anything to give you but my thanks, Sakura... But I want to wish you a happy birthday, regardless.

[He peers around the bunny with a grin. You shouldn't encourage him, Sakura. It'll make him continue his pun crusade forever until someone hits him for it.]

It is, isn't it? An adorable bunny for an adorable girl.

[There's a bark from the café entrance, Gale letting out a slight chuckle.]

Gunner's here to see you too, but we weren't sure if he was allowed in here.
