NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

Equality Not Oppression
The residents of Everglade have been stirring lately about being treated differently. It's not your typical full blooded werewolf or vampire. No it's those people like to call Halfers, or Halfings. Those who are part human and part something else are usually what are considered.
One unknown woman had been stirring them up by claiming that they are being treated like lower class citizens because they aren't pureblooded. Her speech was as follows:
'We have been pushed down for so long, made to work as slaves, made to think we are nothing but trash! Something people can use and abuse because they think they are so much better than us. Vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, even humans think they are better than us. But I say no more! I say we need to show the world what we truly are capable, that we are just as good as them.'
This comes after assassinations of various high ranking officials who all have slaves of Half Blood and have thought to have been killed by a group only know as the 'Gray Feather Guild'
Interview With A Mage
A group of kidnapped mages were found late last month by Azalea, Mavis Vermillion, and Zeref. The latter two being mages themselves. When discovered, the mages were in bad shape. It is unknown how long they were imprisoned in the cave that they were discovered in, not even they know.
When asked what exactly happened, a few were able to shed some light. We have an attached page with the interview.
Aster Mystery
An Aster Technologies facility has such down following the deaths of 8 of their scientist. The cause of death is unknown and Aster Technologies has remained silent on the matter, other than reporting that the deaths happened. We will continue to investigate this and report on anything information that we are given.
Controversial New Guardian Policies Bring Nova City Safety into Question
Weiss Schnee, current Nova City Guardian, has begun a program that has so far allowed three criminals to be permitted to roam the city without fear of repercussions for their crimes. This controversial act has some citizens concerned and others giving their nods at the new approach.
"She's putting us all in danger by letting scum roam free around the city. I don't care what they did, crimes are crimes. You can't just go pardoning them all willy-nilly!" one Nova City citizen and business owner, Jordan Nichols had to say. A number of residents seem to agree, but the other side of the story seems to see a different perspective.
"The people she pardoned- one was a seventeen year old boy or something, wasn't it? I don't know the details of it, but condemning a kid like that without giving him a second chance seems like it'd be just as bad as that other thing she was accused of last month- you know, when she put that headhunt out for the other guy she pardoned! Torchmick and his girlfriend or something like that.." Samira Parker, local MD, pointed out, "Anyway, a bunch of people were talking about how she was condemning people without giving them their second chance. Sounds to me like Guardian Schnee learned from her mistake and people are still giving her flack for it!"
With such a controversial decision made by the young Guardian, the Genessia Tribune needed to do some further digging. Interviewing Weiss Schnee herself seemed like the thing to do, and she had this to say:
"I was elected because I promised to find ways to prevent crime and deal with problems in ways beyond inciting and enacting violence reactively to problems. I'm not going to tell you whether or not you think I'm right to do this, but I stand by it. Progress and change don't happen without taking risks. This 'program' as you called it is still in what you might call a pilot stage though, so believe me when I say this isn't some free-pass to invite criminals to Nova City."
Guardian Schnee did not share when or if she would be offering the same deal to criminals outside of her world, but mentioned that she was only capable of pardoning crimes committed in Genessia's cities and upholding the law as it stands in Nova City. More on this story as it unfolds, but the whole world is sure to be watching to see if second chances are really worth it or if Nova City's Ice Queen is in for a the cold shoulder this summer when re-election season comes around.

Nail In The Coffin - A Carpenter in Attleton has gone on a killing spree. People have been found murdered in their homes, killed by power tools. However previously damaged parts of their home appeared to have been fixed after the person was killed. A level 2 payment is being offered for anyone that brings them to justice.

Title: Crescent Crusader Cracks Down on Crime
Info: Since the night of the 11th, sightings have been reported of a black and silver phantom swooping down on local miscreants. From muggers on Yew to gangbangers along Aspen, no wrongdoer appears to be safe from what seems to be a one-man crusade on crime. While eyewitnesses have given him names ranging from "The Shroud" to "Baghead", one in particular has stood out for the Tribune. According to would-be kidnap victim Harriet Mitra, 34:
"They never pushed me into that van. 'Cuz he came down from the sky like a white knight in the moonlight and beat the living [redacted] out of them." The cowled cavalier then left a crescent-shaped throwing blade at the scene, which was found by responding police.
It is currently unknown if the mysterious Moon Knight is acting on his own initiative or is on the force's payroll. We'll keep you posted for further updates on Genessia's newest hero - or menace.
