[Open]
Who: Sun Wukong, Open.
Where: Fayren
When: April 13th, early morningish.
What: Preparing to head into the forest.
Warnings: None!
[Sleeping in his office here in Fayren hadn’t been as entirely uncomfortable as he thought it would be. The floor wasn’t all that bad if you padded it down with enough blankets. He’s sitting on a bench in Fayren, and surprise surprise, he’s eating a banana. It's held with his tail, leaving his hands free for him to mark off things on a check list.
Down beside the bench, he has a bunch with some berries in it that his Rapidash was making a snack of. There is a thing of water next to it as well. Sun is letting it fuel up for their excursion today.
Next to Sun on the bench is a backpack filled with things that he felt he was going to need. He glances up when he hears his Tyrantrum roaring, followed by the laughter of children as they rode its back and tail. He was sure they would tire him out before he tired them.]
A few more minutes and Tyrantrum has to go bye bye. [He pointed out to the kids before turning his attention back to his notepad and marking some things off.]

you can't stop me
she had heard the explanation from the weiss-hologram and now she was simply mapping out the area. she had her own book out as well, walking around and jotting down notes as she walked from place to place. she was sure there were maps out there already for her, but making her own just felt better. she had eventually reached fayren, and she was completely immersed in her notes until she heard a roar. she then looked up from her book to see the massive.... dragon? wyvern? manakete? whatever, it seemed friendly enough with those children.
robin glanced over to sun, her eyes briefly focusing on the way his tail held his banana.]
Excuse me- do you mind if I ask you some questions? They won't take too long, hopefully.
I'm gonna put you in timeout.
He was about to bring the banana to his mouth for another bite when the girl spoke. He paused and looked to her. He's pretty sure he's never seen her around here before. He lowers the banana some. He gives her a little friendly smile.]
Sure. I'll answer them the best I can.
fool, you cant control me
robin nods at him, thankful for his cooperation.]
So I understand where I am, I'm often used to encountering Outrealms and this place is no different. [except. she didn't think she could be revived in an outrealm.]
Let us start off with something relatively simple. How long have you been here? And, what is the quality of life like here?
Watch me try!
[Especially anyone that he actually knows.] I guess the quality of life depends on which city you're in. If you've been around to all of them, you can see that some are vastly different than others. Like this city and Everglade are the only ones that have natives that can use magic. Nova City has advanced technology while Genessia and Attleton are low on the technology spectrum.
So if you are into the mystical and magical, you'll probably fit in here in Fayren. Though it does have an issue recently with a group of people that dislike magic. Everyone else is fine with it, though. Most here make a living in some sort of field of that nature or something that supports it.
Time to tip the scales!
Arm with a Teepo-themed parasol, and holding the actual Teepo in her arm, Elize was fully out and about on a pleasant stroll until she came across some strange-looking animals playing with children. Any silence other than the laughter of children was completely destroyed when Teepo boings to life.]
"AAAAHHHH! That horse is on FIRE! Save it with WATER! Someone get Undine!"
"...Wait, it doesn't seem to be in pain, though... Is it a Spirit?"
no subject
I take it you missed the whole Pokemon thing? This is Rapidash.
[Rapidash looks up and then over to the little girl.] It's naturally on fire like that. It's not in pain at all.
no subject
[Teepo flailed out of Elize's arm and floated around behind her. But the pyro pony didn't charge. Elize didn't move but she did ponder the creature.]
"So it's not a spirit? Then, what is a Pokemon?"
no subject
...right, the magical aspect. she looks up once she is done writing her notes, and she does look a little confused.]
I feel like I should ask- just why are they so against magic? [she has to know if she's going to be living here or not.]
no subject
[So basically they are just protective.]
A Pokemon is a creature from a different world. You can capture them and put them inside of Pokeballs. [Sun takes one out of his pocket and shows it to her.]
A bunch of them appeared a long while ago and we got the chance to capture some and keep them. The ones that weren't kept disappeared.
[He points over to Tyrantrum.] He's a Pokemon too.
no subject
The group is called the Hands of Decay, and they are just big jerks.
no subject
"There's no way anything could fit in there."
"It's really small..."
[When Sun motioned towards the Tyrantrum, it came as a surprise to her.]
"And that's really your friend? It doesn't try to eat you up?"
no subject
Watch this. [He says before releasing a Riolu from the ball. It's clearly too big to fit inside the ball, but it actually does.] See?
no subject
"And they're friendly with everyone?"
[She clearly wants to pet them.]

[Meanwhile, Elize slowly reaches out to gently poke the Riolu's cheek, followed by a slow pet over its head.]
"Its fur is so soft..."
no subject
I wouldn't categorize myself as a 'mage' exactly... but I can definitely use all sorts of magic. I'm a Tactician. [for the royal army, but she will just keep that a secret for now.]
You're right however, that really is something hateful people would say. I will be keeping an eye out for these sorts of people, then.
no subject
I can't say I understand their thinking at all. Magic can be used for terrible things, but that doesn't make magic itself bad. [It was just like anything else. It's the people that used it to do bad things that are evil, not the magic itself.]
I'm Sun Wukong, but the way. [He extends a hand to her.]
no subject
See? Looks like he might already like you.
no subject
[oh right, introductions! she closed her book, her feather quill in the middle of it in order to hold her place. robin extended her hand out to sun, taking his hand in hers. she smiled at him.]
I'm Robin. Nice to meet you, Sun.
no subject
It's nice to meet you too, Robin. [He went ahead and tucked his pad away in the bag next to him. He was finished with it anyway, so he didn't have much else to write.]
no subject
[Elize went ahead and continued to gently pet the Riolu, then moved her hand to try to see if she can hold its paw. Maybe it has squishy pawpads?]
"My name is Elize. It's nice to meet you."
"And I'm Teepo!"
no subject
I apologize, I remember you were saying to... [she looked over at the tyrantrum in the distance, with the kids.] ...your dragon, that you were leaving in a couple minutes. I can leave if you're in a rush.
no subject
So what are you both doing here? Just looking around?
no subject
I'm just heading out for a birthday camping trip. [He hasn't decided how long he's going to be out there, but it'll just be him and his pokemon.] So I'm not on anyone schedule but my own.
no subject
Whose birthday is it?
no subject
[He motioned to both of his pokemon.]
no subject
Happy Birthday! Maybe I will be able to get you a gift later- since I feel a little empty handed here.
[even tho they just met and all but whatever. she turned to look over at his animals.] You may need to make up birthdays for them. Like- how about the day you received them?
no subject
[His Pokemon were looking forward to it.]
That could work. I still remember when I got them all.
no subject
Good, then that would make the birthdays much easier to figure out. I'm sure they would love that, too.
no subject
Alright. That will be their birthday. They might expect something from you though, since you helped select it and all.
no subject
[robin looked out at his pokemon now, looking them all over carefully.] ...Are they the animals of this world? I admit I've never seen them before.
no subject
No. They are from another world. They appeared here and we all got a chance to capture and keep some. I have eight total.
no subject
Do they have names?
