Hello everyone. I’m sorry that I’ve been away for the last week. I hadn’t told anyone except Fai and Anastasia that I’d be going to the Dream Docks.

[She looks away from the screen, obviously sad. It’s as if the young princess has forgotten how to smile.]

I’ll be resuming work tomorrow but I’m trying to see what I’ve missed. If there is anything… Please let me know.

[With one last attempt at a smile she turns off the screen.]

Action: Trek Home (Genessia)

[Sakura flicks off her phone, pockets it and then heads home.

A million thoughts buzz through her head but one fact insists on remaining at the forefront of her mind. Does Fai know? He’s always been sweet and motherly towards her. She feels unsettled but she doesn’t know who to talk to. There is Clow but that might be awkward. She supposes she could talk to Yuuko. The time witch knows everything but Sakura doesn’t know what to say to her.

Where would she even start?

Sakura isn’t really paying attention to where she’s going and has to turn around a few times when she realizes that her house is the other way.]

[Anastasia had gone to the dream docks with Sakura as both wanted to for their own reasons.

For Anastasia, she was plagued by a feeling of dread. After awakening from the dream docks, she found her problems have only gotten much worse. It seems, though, she has woken up before Sakura. That only made things worse for her. Now she has to deal with her darkness alone.

Quietly, Anastasia paced around the dream docks close to Sakura, like a frightened little girl who had a nightmare, trying her best not to let the darkness in her recent memories overcome her or ruin the lives of anymore people with her new found power. Anastasia stopped for a moment and would look into her hands and wonder what she had become, only for sparks of magic to dance from hand-to-hand, quickly followed by a loud bang. As a result, she collapsed to her knees, in tears, tightly trying not to let her magic destabilize again.]

[When Sakura awoke she lay very still for a long time. Somewhere she heard Anastasia’s cries and if not for that she might not have risen. Slowly she lifts herself up and moves to Anastasia’s side. Her expression is blank, her usual smile gone from her features.]

Anastasia…

[She lightly rests a hand on her friends shoulder unsure what she should do for her friend. The weight of the future pressed against her and she wasn’t sure what to do with it now that she was in Genessia. Her death, her linage, everything plays again and again in her mind, never letting go.]

We should go.

[Saying here will only depress them both further.]

[Anastasia's gaze looked to Sakura in a panicked stare. She was glad her friend was awake again, but at the same time, she doesn't want her nearby. She didn't want to accidentally kill her, but she couldn't move to.

Her strength did gradually return when she realized her magic wasn't going out of control now. She nodded and slowly got to her feet, but will keep her arms wrapped around herself.

Anastasia opted to walk ahead of Sakura, just in case if her magic goes out of control again, Sakura will not be in the line of fire.]

"...Sakura... Everything was supposed to get better if we slept at the Dream Docks... But nothing is better..."

[She feels it too though she can hardly offer Anastasia comfort.]

What happened?

[Sakura will push her thoughts aside and for now focus on Anastasia.]

[Anastasia stopped and tried to compose herself as she slowly turned to look at Sakura with nothing but sadness and regret on her face.]

"...My world fell into a full state of war between the forces of the God-Queen and the false God-King, with me, my parents, and the remnants of my destroyed country supporting the God-Queen... With my new magic, I... I accidentally destroyed a section of a allied city, and the people in it."

[She turned away to try to hide the pained look on her face.]

"...As a result, my friends left me."

Anastasia...

[Her voice reflects the pain that she knows her friend feels, worry and uncertainty bubbling in her chest.]

I can create shields, you won't hurt anyone when I'm around. Okay. We'll find a way for you to control it.

[Though it might take time.]

[Anastasia looked back to Sakura, a hopeful look in her eyes.]

"...You mean that? You won't leave me? My sub-archway might not be safe with me there, though. At least for the time being."

I do.

[Sakura forces her lips into an encouraging smile.]

I understand. I don't know the state of my own home. I'll have to talk with Fai but if he's alright with it you're welcome to stay.

[Anastasia tries to return a smile, but she wasn't quite as strong.]

"I would like that. So, what do we do now?"

[After the recent incidents in Nova City, and in almost futile attempts to calm himself, Gale had been practically pacing around Genessia City. Maybe he could go to Everglade and kick the snot out of creatures of the night to make himself feel better. Right now, he's just laying on the grass in the park and staring blankly at the sky. He eventually notices Sakura from the corner of his eye, and it sure doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize there's something missing from that face, so he sits up.]

Sakura?

Let's go home.

[Sakura suggests with another weak smile. She was exhausted and she wasn't sure if she should speak to Fai or figure things out on her own. The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to figure it out first. Maybe she can find an answer.]

I want to tell Fai that I'm back too.

[Skaur pauses and looks over at Gale. She tries to smile but it looks weak and half hearted.]

Gale?

[Her brow furrows.]

Are you okay?

[It's easy for her to tell when something's bugging her big brother.]

I should be asking you that.

[And if she's not smiling, he certainly knows something's not right. The incidents in Nova City were no where near as important right now, nor did he care about the marks on his neck being grey, his focus was more on her.]

What's going on, kid?

[He had to put up a front for her, though it was probably just as easy to see right through it.]

[Sakura stopped pretending. Her expression became comfortably solemn as if it was how she was used to looking.]

I don't want anyone to worry about me.

[There were more important things to worry about.]

I just came from the dream docks... if something has happened. [She doesn't know about it.]

[Anastasia nodded once.]

"Okay, yes. Let's go. I can always return to my sub archway for anything important later..."

[On that decision, the younger princess moves behind Sakura so she can lead. She didn't memorize the way to Sakura's home.]

"...Once we've calmed down, there is more I need to tell you also..."

[Sakura blinks and then looks back at her friend.]

More?

[Her tone is curious but careful.]

You can tell me now.

You're Sakura, right? I think we met once.

[Oh look it's the little bird again. The one that doesn't know how to fight and relies of others to do her own work. But it had been fun time before then. Heels clicking on the pathway, Icy had been walking over, to make it look like she was walking past. As she was about to she spoke up.]

Has the little bird lost it's wings?

[Well that explained why she hadn't been around when she went to the cafe. But she was at least glad the other seemed okay, though yet at the same time she could tell she was sad. Giving a small frown she switches on the feed.]

Are you okay? You don't seem like the cheery girl I use to see in the cafe.

[Anastasia wasn't sure where to begin, so she might as well start with the beginning.]

"After a traitor named Eruzael severed the bridge between the realms of humans and spirits, the God-Queen needed a vessel to combat Eruzael should he re-awaken before the Goddesses do. By manipulating marriages and births, the God-Queen made an ideal vessel who is capable of crossing into the spirit realms and gain shares of each of the Goddesses' power."

[Anastasia held out her hands in a way as if she was holding something. Soon, threads of a strange vapor appeared and gathered, becoming water, then transform into a long metal object, a rather gorgeous spear, shimmering as blue as the oceans.]

"...And I was the unlucky one to be that vessel. I'm a weapon that was forced to be deployed too soon..." [The spear vanished in wisps.] "...Hence why my magic is unstable."

[Fai had been dealing with his own issues since she felt and had been keeping himself busy with his pokemon patrolling Everglade while he was trying to get through a tough time. They did well with that job since they weren't human at least, so it worked out.

So today was going for a nice little walk through Genessia. The air was fresh and nice for a change as he had his hands in his pockets as his thoughts were on what to do next, but as he turned the corner he stopped, looking up slightly.]

Sakura-chan?

Talkin' like that is just gonna make me worry more.

[The problem here is that Gale isn't exactly one to try to pry, so he's torn about making her talk to him or just letting her be. For now, he lets out a defeated sigh, running a hand through his hair.]

There's just been an incident in Nova City.

[Sakura's brows furrow.]

What? An incident? Was anyone hurt?

[It's obvious that Gale isn't injured but that doesn't mean others aren't.]

Fai...

[Sakura pauses, her thoughts blanking when she sees her friend. She doesn't know what to say to him or what to think. The dream replays again and again in her thoughts as if it never wanted to let her rest.

Fai is going to kill her.

She forces her lips into a smile.]

I'm back.

I'm okay...

[Sakura is a terrible liar.]

I mean... I will be.

[She hopes she will be. She doesn't know what to do or say or how to even begin explaining.]
