[After having a brief conversation with Nagisa, Anastasia spent a day to shop for a swimming costume.

Oh, how unbearably scandalous these swimsuits were. An old-fashioned girl like Anastasia would never want to wear something that revealing. But eventually, she found more modest outfits, but then found something almost absolutely perfect. Then, she had a brilliant idea. She got a pink one-piece swimsuit and will wear it with a pink mermaid tail skirt. The tail was open-ended for her feet so she can walk.

So now it was a new day and Anastasia went to the pool that Nagisa has been telling everyone about over the network. She was dressed in her pink mermaid swimming costume, with a towel draped over her shoulders as she stood by the edge of the pool, watching the water. Water in her own country was beautiful, but she was clearly in awe at the clarity of the pool.

Anastasia merely stands by the edge of the pool, occasionally looking around for other people.]

[Zera stood not that far away - unlike Anastasia, still fully clothed. The only thing she'd bothered to take off were her shoes, and she dipped a bare toe in the water. She tugged it back almost as soon as she put it in, leaving ripples.

She was used to water. She knew how to swim, too. ...She was used to lakes rivers and oceans, though. Water was supposed to have a purpose. No one was bathing, and she didn't think there was any fish around... she bent down to slip her hands in the water and maybe see what it tasted like.]

[Anastasia eventually noticed another girl near by. She quietly watched her test the waters, and being as nervous as she was, she couldn't help but wonder what she was doing. She apologizes if she's staring at this point.

Watching her, Anastasia wonders if she should mimic her in hopes of gaining some understand so she can have a easier time learning how to swim, but decided not to. She considered talking to her, but again, she wouldn't know what to say. So, she'll try the absolute basic.]

"...Hello."

Zera jumped, unpleasant water slipping from her lips as she stood upright. When she noticed it was just another girl, she scowled - putting her hands on her hips.

"Didn't your parents teach you it's rude to startle people?"

[She knew she should've kept quiet. Well, she can't retreat now.]

"...I'm sorry... I was just going to ask if you were here for the same reason as I was."

I was just curious about what a pool was. [She looked away, cheeks a little flushed. She definitely wasn't starved for company, either.]

[Anastasia offer a smile. She won't judge or anything since this scenery is new to her.]

"I didn't know what it was either. It looks like a little pond. I also want to learn how to swim."

[And there's Gou working like she normally did. Seeing the girl stand by the edge, she seemed distracted.]

That's a cute swimsuit. [Just to start conversation.]

[Anastasia looked to the voice, and was quick to reveal a smile as her swimsuit was complimented.]

"Oh, thank you. I didn't like the suits by themselves, so I got creative."

[The young girl considered the other for a moment, and quickly considered what questions she should ask. There are so many she could ask, but she didn't want to seem ignorant.]

"Um... This is where I can learn to swim, yes?"

[Gou was dressed in a plain one piece blue swim suit herself with a red jacket with "Sametobi SC" embroidered on the back and her name on the front as "Matsuoka Kou". Although despite wearing a one piece, she hadn't actually planned on swimming.]

Yep! That's right. Would you be interested in signing up to learn?

"Yes, please. I actually spoke to a boy named Nagisa about coming here."

[Anastasia shifted her feet to make sure she wasn't standing on her own skirt tail. If she is going to walk anywhere, she didn't want to trip on her first step.]

...No one ever told you how to swim? [That's an odd concept, for a girl who lived on an island and bathed in a river.]

That's pretty bad, you know.

[Anastasia begins to wonder if she really should just leave her alone now. She will try for a little while longer to find equal footing.]

"...I'm from a tundra climate. While my people can tolerate the cold, the waters in my country are simply too cold."

[Zera seemed to realize she was putting the girl off - though she wasn't sure how to stop. The only person her own age was Mavis... if they could even be considered the same age, now.]

I could teach you, I guess. It would be pretty bad if you drowned like that.

"I... I suppose it would be bad..."

[If she is offering to teach, Anastasia is hesitant to say yes. But she will be brave and trust her.]

"If your offer is honest, I will accept it."

[She reaches out to take Anastasia's hand.] Let's get in the water....

"Insulted? I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to offend."

[Anastasia lets her hand be taken, her skin may feel cold to the other girl. She realized she was so caught up in trying to find common ground that she forgot to introduce herself again.]

"How deep is the water? Also, my name is Anastasia."

"Not too deep," she promised, pulling Anastasia's hand a little. She slipped into the water, letting it cover her up to the hips. Her clothes were soaked, now. so no going back.
