[Angel is pissed as all hell. First of all, Sam. SAM. He's taking away her Dean and that is a cardinal sin in her book. For another, everyone sees her as a kid, clearly that must be amended.

Sitting in the branches of a tree, Angel decided it was time. She decided she was seven last year, so it should be bout time for her to turn eight. It wasn't the most conventional way, but she didn't exactly know her birthday.]

I don't want to hear no one else saying I'm too young to do things anymore. I can take care of myself and don't need any nameless babysitters worrying about me. Today, I decided I'm eight, so that should be good enough for anyone to leave me alone and let me do what I want.

[She was a brat at times, but she felt it was well deserved this time.]

You can't just assign herself an age and expect people to magically start treating you like an adult. It makes you look childish.

So now that your eight and can do whatever you want, what's the first order of business?

Is it a birthday party? I think it should be. That's the first thing you do when you turn eight.

I've always assigned myself an age, don't tell me what I can or can't do.

Birthday party? ...it really wouldn't be the same here.

[She had family, kind of, but...it wouldn't be the same without her flock. She only really wanted one if Dean threw it for her.]

I didn't say you couldn't assign yourself an age. My point was that declaring yourself as an eight-year is not going to stop people from trying to babysit you. Eight-year olds are not exactly known for their independence.

Awww... That's not very nice. What if Mary heard you say that, you might hurt her feelings.

I wouldn't. She's distracted with her new kid.

They don't really care though. All people do is use you and when someone new comes along, they focus more on them.

[Okay, maybe it was her fault since she wasn't spending as much time at home but she was used to having Dean and Mary to herself. Not having to share them.]

[Angel rolls her eyes slightly.]

Not a baby, he hasn't been a baby for a long time.

[His annoyance quickly evaporated as he listened to her cynical response. Those were the words of someone who has been recently hurt. Given the direction this conversation could quickly spiral to, he decided to set the video to private.]

Am I right to assume you're talking about someone that was previously close to you?

[At the word 'previously' her lower lip starts to wibble. She doesn't want to think that Dean doesn't want her anymore, but...he's been spending his time with Sam too. As selfish as that felt though, she couldn't deal with not having family again.]

He doesn't spend as much time with me anymore...

[That statement was all it took for him to understand the true purpose of her post. It was an attempt to reach out towards the person that had drifted away from her. She made it in hopes of enticing a reactive from him.]

Have you told him about how you feel? He might not have realized that he's been drifting away from you.

No. ...He always picks him, I saw it...I don't want to hear the words. That he's picking him over me, not ever.

[Dean was the closest she'd had to a daddy in a long time, she didn't want to lose him that easily.]

[His decision to make this private was definitely the right choice. The way she spoke gave him the impression that was a bit deeper than just a lonely child trying to gain attention.]

[Picking at a leaf, she frowned deeply, evading answering.]

[Looks like he hit his first roadblock. The last thing they both needed was for her to start closing herself off.]

About what you mean by him always picking this other guy. Can you please tell me? I need to learn as much as I can in order to help you.

It's his brother...s'not anything he wouldn't do for him. He's only been with me about a year though. He loves me, but...he's always been his world.

[And if he ditched her, she'd be all alone again.]

Listen. You need to talk to him. I know you don't want to, but it has to be done. The situation is only going to continue to deteriorate the longer this goes on without somebody speaking up. Of course, I don't expect you to suddenly take on this endeavor just because some random high school student told you to. For right now, I just want you to know that I'm going to do everything I can to help you. Don't take this to mean that I can solve all this by myself. I'm nothing more than a side character in this conflict. You and him are the only ones that can ultimately bring this problem to a close.

[He really hoped he wasn't too blunt with his response. There wasn't really any good way to soften his speech without losing what he felt he needed her to understand.]

[She'd go pick from every garbage can and be disrespectful as hell if it meant he was paying attention to her.]

[It was no surprise that she rejected his advice. This was something that would take more than just one monologue to solve. Nothing was ever easy.]
