 [There were a lot of things Danny didn't like about being a ghostly superhero. The late hours, the frankly terrible vacation and medical benefits, and the way everything he did seemed to end up with ghost hunters shooting at him.

But flying was nice. Some nights, like tonight, he just liked to float around in the sky. He wasn't actively looking for any trouble, or going anywhere in particular. (Although if trouble happened to start, he fully intended to end it). He was just flying and enjoying the night.

Privately, he wonders if the rooftops will be empty tonight. It seemed like more and more people were starting to show up there these days.]

[ What a long day... She'd just been heading home from the forge, exhausted, and carrying the blue digimon she'd become friends with on her back. There were times when her work really was tiring, more than any enjoyment she got out of it--

The girl stopped, staring at the boy in the sky above. He was flying? But where was he headed!? She has to know!

Adela, without further thought, raced back into Garden Park Apartments to put Gaomon to bed, immediately running out to her balcony so that she could see if she could catch sight of the boy again. That wasn't just in her head, right? That actually happened? And if so, how? And where is he going to land if she does catch sight of him? ]

Assume away! I left it open.

[He pulls into a few slow loops into the sky, before finally drifting toward the ground, eventually landing on a high branch of a tree near the apartment. He pauses there for a moment. This close, it is obvious that he is glowing faintly in the darkness. ]

[ She leaves the lights on and barely has the head to remember her keys before she runs back out, trying to find him once more. Perhaps he'll hear her coming and change back, but regardless the small teen approaches the tree where she thinks she saw him land, looking around. Is he still there, though? She wants to ask... ]

[There is a faint rustling sound as he floats out of the tree. ]

You looking for something?

[enchantressofore]

[ Watch her face light up, Danny. ]

So that was you! You were... You were flying earlier, were you not?

[ That is so cool. ]

[imaginationswoes]

[Airy's still mulling over her fight with her roommate. Which is why she's on the roof of her apartment building staring up at the stars. It's hard to get away from someone you live with and while she can go to her room, that feels like cheating in a way or like she isn't far enough away.

Her head falls back against the wall, her eyes flicking from star to star. She sees a familiar sight and a smile tugs at her lips.]

Phantom!

[She shouts up at him, her fingers cupped around her lips to help direct her voice upward.]

Uh, yeah? I do that sometimes. Actually I do it a lot.

[schrodingersghost]

[He glances down at the sound of a familiar voice, and instantly alters his flight to head towards her roof. ]

It was Airy, right?

It is amazing!

I had never... That is to say, I have never seen someone who could fly before, or even thought it was possible even here so... It is amazing!

Can everyone fly where you are from?

Not everyone. Mostly, its just the ghosts.

[ She thinks about that, and hopefully Danny sees the next question coming considering what he just said. ]

So you are not alive...?

[imaginationswoes]

Yeah.

[She smiles at him.]

You remembered. [Airy has no idea how good he is with names.] What are you up too?

Just a bit of night flying, really. It started out as a patrol, but seems like everythings quiet tonight.

I'm a ghost.

[imaginationswoes]

Patrol? Are you protecting the streets of Genessia?

[She smiles, completely earnest in her remark.]

I try. [He offers a sheepish shrug. ]

Back home I kind of took on the job of keeping all the ghost trouble under control. It isn't really a problem here, but I figured I might as well do what I can.

That sounds amazing.

[At least impressive.]

Just that you do that I mean. How have you been? I don't see you around very often.

[She wonders idly what he does as a day to day activity or maybe he's a full time superhero.]

[He shrugs and lies.]

Well, I don't usually hang around humans that much. You know, what with being a ghost and all. It tends to freak people out.

[ Atem had been out late, doing a little bit of exploring on his own, since he hadn't wanted to bother Yugi. After all, this was the first time in thousands of years that he had his own existence, not dependent on anyone else, and he was going to take advantage of it. At least while it lasted.

After all, he knew what waited for him one he returned home. And while it was something he desired, he also desired to experience a life he wouldn't have gotten to otherwise.

Dressed in a t-shirt and a pair of tight pants (unlike the outfit he first wore), the only thing that made him stand out tonight was his hair. And perhaps the gold jewelry that he couldn't quite made himself go without.

Stopping on a street corner, Atem glanced around himself before he looked up. And blinked.

Huh. ]

[Far above, Danny catches a glance of his audience and figures that he might as well drop in for a talk. He was kind of getting bored anyway. He allows gravity to take effect, and instantly drops like a stone. He catches himself just before getting dangerously close to the ground, and floats the last few feet to the ground. ]

Dude, how did you do that to your hair?

[This close, the ghostly glow that surrounds Danny is obvious in the dark. ]

It's natural.

[ Surprisingly enough. Atem didn't question it, he.just accepted it as is.

He tilts his head as he regards the other. ]

How do you glow in the dark?

Uh, because I'm a ghost?

[duelistoflegend]

I didn't glow like that when I was still a spirit.

[ That might have been fun.

But then again, no one but Yugi could even see him as a spirit, so... ]

....What do you mean, used to be a ghost? Are you still one?

Not since I arrived here. Before that, I was a spirit bound to a puzzle.
