[Sometime after Koishi's party....]
[Remnant House]
Um....Yang? I got an unexpected present. [Behind her is a tank with three small koi fish.]
Do we have room in our room or will we need to place them somewhere else?
[All]
[In this shot Blake is propped up on her elbows, yellow eyes darting back and forth as she watches the fish swim. She ponders out loud...]
What do you even name pet fish?
ooc:aka I'm used to eating fish, not taking care of them.

[Closed to Blake]
How'd you end up with a fish tank? Weren't you suppose to be going to give her a present?
[Looking around her room, the blonde couldn't help but sweatdrop a bit at where they'd put it.] I guess we could set it on the dresser? Move the make up to the bathroom.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
If that's okay. If not I suppose we can find a spot in the living room or get a smaller tank. [Her eyes dart at the sudden movement of the fish. Clearly, she could watch them a long time.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
That's fine with me. I don't know if we've got a spot in the living room for them.
[Yang does catch Blake eyeing the fish and can't help but grin a little teasingly.]
Just don't start trying to catch them. I don't think Koi fish are good for eating.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
I know that they're not tuna! [Her voice is indignant.] I wouldn't eat a gift. And they're way too small.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
But she leaned back into the blonde when she felt an arm going around her.]
She gave me something else. You'll probably never stop laughing when you see it.
[She gestures at the knitted hat laid out on their bed.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Oh? What is it?
[Unable to resist, Yang burst out laughing as she held up the hat, easily identifying the cat-ear top before she placed it on her own head.]
Wow...She actually went and made something like this. Well I guess if no one looks too closely you could always wear this hat instead of your bows.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Now, you look like one of us. Though it's more of winter wear. It'll have to get cold. My ears will get too warm in there.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
You could always take it with you if you go up into the mountains or something. We should totally do a ski trip sometime with the whole team!
[Her smile flickers a bit on her face when she considers how she'd try to ski with only one arm for balance. It was brief, almost as though it wasn't there, but that smile didn't quite look as cheerful as before.]
Hey, why not show me how you look with this on. See if it's comfortable for you.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
[She notices the slight fading of Yang's enthusiasm when she talks about hiking. She was about to ask when she heard Yang's suggestion. She unfastens her bow. Her ears twitch a bit at being freed and she reaches for the hat.
If it will make the blond smile again, that's reason enough.]
We'll definitely go.
[She wants to have moments like this. Weiss is right. It can't be all fighting all the time. There wouldn't be anything worth fighting for if that were the case.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
[It doesn't stop her from reaching out to softly pet Blake's ears though.]
Yeah...I'd be nice to have a little trip with all four of us. Feels like we're all really busy these days.
[You'd think being out of Beacon would mean they'd have more time to do things.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
That would be nice. I guess we have been busy. [Blake has been taking bounties on top of book hunting, but with Yang's arm she hates to bring fighting up.] What has Ruby been up to?
Re: [Closed to Blake]
[Though on the subject of Ruby well...that arm is the elephant in the room that's a little too obvious.]
She's...working with a girl named Winry to try and get an arm made for me. I hope it gets finished soon.

Re: [Closed to Blake]
But her eyes are all the way open again and she's looking a mix of surprised, amazed and hopeful.]
When did that happen? How are they going to make an arm?
[Well she assumed it was something mechanical.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
I'm...not sure how it happened, but apparently Winry is some kind of mechanic and they can make moving prosthetics out of metal and stuff.
I don't know the details, but apparently It'd let me use the arm like it were my own.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Like a semi-awake, probably purring and cuddling faunus. Why hadn't Yang said something sooner? A genuinely happy and rare ecstatic look spread across Blake's face as she clasped her partner's remaining hand in her own.]
That's wonderful, Yang! [It may not be exactly like the real thing, but it's more than Blake ever imagined. She never wanted Yang to remain crippled forever. She's almost beaming at the news.]
Do they know when it will be ready?
Re: [Closed to Blake]
I! Have no idea.
[Seriously, all she knew is that she was going to be getting an arm.]
video;
Well, there's always the classics like "Bubbles" and "Finley," but I don't think pets are necessarily required to have a specific kind of name.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Blake wasn't always great at expressing emotion. She darted forward and hugged the girl almost hard enough to rival one of her own bear hugs.
Re: video;
Hmmm...I'll give it some more thought.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
Hey hey...It's alright, Blake. None of it was your fault. None. Trust me okay? It'll be alright.
Re: [Closed to Blake]
But she gave a slight start at Yang's words. Even though that had been her train of thought, she didn't think the other would have read her so easily.
She wanted to shake her head. Yang was the one minus and arm and here she was reassuring Blake that everything would be all right.]
You're the most amazing person I know.
[It wasn't until she heard her own muffled voice that she realized she'd said that. Out loud. And she decided to cling to the brawler a little longer so that she wouldn't see her blushing for probably the hundredth time.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
You're amazing too you know. I do owe you my life.
[Seriously, if it wasn't for Blake's last minute clone, Yang would no doubt be dead back home.
Yang was radiating heat as she clung to her partner, enjoying the simple act of just connecting as she nuzzled her cheek against Blake's ears.]
Re: [Closed to Blake]
[Yang's warmth was one of the things Blake really loved about the blond. It was like bathing in sunlight. And it made her feel, despite whatever else might be going on in the outside world, safe.]
