[When the feed starts up, Gale is lounging incorrectly in his glass chair, his legs dangling over the arm. Despite the mask over his face, he almost seems distracted. Music played in the background as usual since he was again broadcasting from After Life. For people in the club, he can be found looking at his device in one of the more dimly lit corners of the club, a margarita resting on the table in front of him.]

Followin' in the footsteps of Nakiba, After Life will be offering free drinks for the rest of the month. Doesn't matter who you are, just show your pendant. Rules of the club still apply and we still reserve the right to throw you out on your ass if you get too plastered and start bein' a nuisance.

Prism will also be available at all times 'till the end of the month instead of only Fridays.

[He understands that others will likely be affected in different ways because of that messed up broadcast. He still remembers Athrun's face clearly that very same day. He wants After Life to remain a place to unwind, especially if circumstances are a little... tougher this time.]

I'm sure I don't need to repeat myself since I know you guys aren't idiots, but remember drinks are free the rest of the month. That goes for you guys too. Food prices still apply though. Patrons just gotta show pendants since I doubt the regular city folk are gonna be affected by things. Profit losses will come out of my pocket, so your paychecks won't be affected.

[Bounty hunts and his Aster job made that easily doable. He pauses and leans his head back.]

And Ivina's gone. I'm now the sole owner of the place. I may have to hire a manager to help handle the place when I've got my other work to do. If any of you want to take that up, I'm leavin' the offer open to you all first.

That said, if any of you need to take time off, take it. You'll still get paid leave 'till you're ready to come back.

[He knows Yang in particular is acquainted with Weiss, so the offer was made mostly for her, but he wants to keep an eye on the rest of his staff too to make sure they're in stable states as well.]

[The video shows Karla relaxing in a hospital bed. They decided to admit her for a few nights to make sure she was really okay. She looks at the feed with a tired smile.]

That's...quite generous of you.

[Well that was certainly a kind gesture of her boss...and one Yang might end up indulging in just to get her mind off things. Still, she had to show a brave face, though as she flipped on the video, the most startling things would be that she was waving with a metallic right arm, and that her eyes were a vibrant red that she usually showed when she was pissed.]

Hey...bossman. [She also sounded like she's had a few sleepless nights too.]

That's a pretty good offer. Sorry I've not been around in a bit. It's...kinda hard to go in when my entire team's in the hospital. At least I'm not one armed now though!

[And trying to look optimistic.]

[He forces a cheeky grin to his face.]

I am a sweetheart, aren't I? But let's be fair here, the other lady had the right idea.

[A softer smile comes to his face as he sits up in his chair.]

How you feelin', kid? Do I gotta deliver a drink to you myself?

Yes...she did. I wonder if I should take her up on it, but...I wouldn't want to go alone.

[She tilts her head. So she's a kid now, eh?]

I'm still...tired. I'll pass on the drink, though. I don't care for alcohol...

[Yikes, those red eyes are new. He was glad to see her arm problem was solved - good ol' cybernetics - but he's not surprised to see her in the state she's in. Though, when she says 'entire team' and not just 'Weiss', that kinda sets things in stone then.]

Don't apologize, kid. How about you just take a break for a while? You got better things to concern yourself with for a while then knockin' drunks out of a bar. I can pick up that slack in the meantime.

How come? Don't feel right takin' up an offer like that, or just want the company?

[Everyone's a kid to Gale, even people older than him. Endearing terms! He takes off his mask.]

Fair enough, though we do have non-alcoholic drinks too. I mean hell, I could bring you a milkshake if you really wanted.

[Well the red eyes are going to stay for a long time even as Yang shook her head a bit.]

I...don't know if I should stay behind...I want...to do something...[Though by something it's clear she means to hunt down whoever did this, even if he was strong enough to take down all the others. She...probably needs to be watched over as a flight risk at this point.]

Maybe knocking a few heads would keep me from going crazy. Or I just need to knock back a few drinks.

[Well, Gale's attitude sure is endearing.]

I could use the company...yes...

Well, if you really want to bring a milkshake, I won't object.

[He tries his best.]

Got anyone in mind? Maybe ask David out on a date?

[He couldn't help but tease her a little.]

Hey, if you want one, I can fetch ya one. Just gotta tell me what flavor you'd want.

Whichever option suits you best, feel free to take. I don't wanna make you work against your will, but if you want to punch some drunks, by all means.

[He takes a more slightly serious, but sincere tone then.]

But first and foremost, you just put yourself first before the job, got it?

David's been...busy.

[She knows he has other friends who were affected by this, and even if he didn't, this would surely be serious Guardian business to deal with asap. Also, the idea of going on a date with David sounds awkward to her, as it suggests something romantic. While Karla had grown fond of David in such a short period, she doesn't feel anything romantic.]

The only other person I had in mind would be...you. But...you're probably busy also, aren't you?

What kind of flavors are there?

[Whoops, maybe not the right joke to make. That's what he gets for not thinking before speaking. He slightly quirks an eyebrow.]

Me? Busy? Ha, I can take whatever time off I need. I sure wouldn't say no to escorting a pretty lady if she wants it.

[He might be a little flattered that she thought of him for it though.]

Chocolate or vanilla are the classics, but then there are ones like strawberry, mocha, mint, orange, yadda yadda. People get pretty creative when it comes to milkshakes.

All right, I suppose I should ask formally. Will you come with me?

[That way it'll be official.]

Wow, that is a lot of flavors. I guess I'll try...strawberry?

Heh...I don't know if I can really pull myself together. [She's not the one hurt physically. It's the pain of being the only one not hurt that hurts her. Knowing that her teammates are all down and she couldn't stop the bastard who did it.]

...I think I might come in for that drink.

[Crystal hasn't comment on what's happened. She's seen horrors and while it's almost expected in her life that doesn't mean she can handle things like the graphic events on the phone. She found it alarmingly easy to detach herself, which is all she can do to protect herself. Though that doesn't mean the issue is completely solved.

Her thumb flicks on her phone and while she looks relatively composed, she isn't smiling her usually flirty smile.]

I will be fine to work. If you need anyone to cover for those out.

[She knows how to do more than just be a hostess so she'll offer what she can to alleviate some sort of stress.]

[Oh. Well this was interesting, but also sad. Though he isn't going to dwell on it much.]

I'm here if you need anything, Gale. I'm also fine to keep working if you need the help.

If you really wanna go with a dumbass like me, I'll be happy to.

[He has been a little curious about that restaurant too but never cared enough to deal with waiting lists and reservations to go. He might even pay them a little extra for their generosity for recent victims.]

Trust me, I haven't even scratched the surface when if comes to flavors. But you got it, one strawberry milkshake's comin' your way.

[And with the way he drives, it'll probably take longer for the milkshake to be made than for him to get to the hospital from Nova City.]

[He's not really the best person for advice, and he knows it, so he probably wouldn't want to make things up to try to make her feel better. He'll just do what he can, whatever small attempts at comfort they may be.]

You know where the liquor's kept, so help yourself, kid. Just don't go damagin' your liver now.

[Crystal without a smile was like seeing Yang with red eyes, it was really damn weird. But hell, her lacking a smile was a little uncomfortable, since he was so used to seeing it. With recent events, though... yeah, no one's gonna be doing much smiling. He nods to her.]

Got it. I don't think our workload will be any worse than usual, but I'll keep it in mind just in case. For now it's just business as usual.

[Well, she's not sure what a "dumbass" is, so she'll just blink for a moment.]

Well...I just want to go with you because we...we are friends, are we not?

[He couldn't help but chuckle a little. He probably is coming off as a little upset that Ivina's gone, which was almost ironic given that he was pretty much just her lackey at one point. But, between her and Troy missing, maybe he was moping a little more than usual about it. He'll of course hide it behind a smirk.]

Thanks. I don't think we'll have to do any more than usual, so everyone's schedules can probably stay the same.

[Except his, probably. He'll have to cut back on the bounty hunting time a little to make sure the club's on track since Ivina did more of the management work than he did.]

[He can tell Gale is hiding things because he's the exact same way, but he won't push him about it. He needs to take care of Adela aside from working.]

Ah all right. I might need to take some time off though, there's a girl who needs me right now.

[Jaune isn't sure how the bar can afford to make free drinks for a little more than a week, but it's not his problem and not one he's really worried about. He's never actually been that into drinking before, except that one time. And the concept of there being other people, people he might recognize, forces him to wait until the quieter hours, hiding under his hoodie as he hesitates and gauges the setting for any threats. When he doesn't see any, he doesn't relax, but he finally approaches the bar. He doesn't like how it makes him feel exposed, and unconsciously puts a hand to the back of his neck, his voice soft as he asks for something strong. He's not the drink expert, he's sure they can figure it out.]

I can do that.

[Crystal brings a small smile to her lips. It's an easy mask though it doesn't completely reach her eyes like usual. Her smile, while not always real, is a combination of her feelings and her mask. Her earnest expression is just another reason her smile is so alluring.]

How are you holding up?

You must be a billionaire if you can afford to let you major source of income slide unless you're planning on just rolling with bankruptcy.

[ Emerald isn't a genius when it comes to money. In fact it's something she doesn't have much experience with, being a street rat. But even she knows it's a terrible idea to offer your main source of income for that long, charity or not. ]
