psi_ching_you_out: yeah, she won't think about the thrills that pass away... (But today she'll pay the bills;)

[OPEN] ACTION & VIDEO // Genessia City

Autumn wakes up alone, which very naturally alarmed her, as she had fallen asleep the night before, under the warm auspices of a telepath, who had her best interests at heart, truly. She had been allowed to "read" his mind, after all, open for her to look into, as if she were a telepath or some other type of Psi herself. Yes, she most definitely trusted Stephan Chevalier, and so... To wake up here, with no sign of Stephan, was quite worrying, really. Had the Falcon gotten to him, and then to her, as well? Was she in a prison cell even now?

The moment she dared to wonder such a thing, she seemed to— unlock the "cell" and tumbled out of it, into ankle-deep water. Of course, she realised quite suddenly that she was standing in water, not because her typically-bare-for-bed feet were getting damp, but because her boots were, rather! She swore under her breath; these were really nice boots! Not as "nice" as Henry's, sure, but still...

Oh dear Lord. Henry. She grimaced to herself, as she suddenly realised that wherever she had been kidnapped to, her new Empathic Psi "room-mate" would no doubt have been on the receiving end of some serious pain and suffering, too... After all, the Falcon was only interested in her for the sheer number of Psis she was attempting to set "free" inside the city.... Wasn't he?

At any rate, she soon noticed the damned box that had fallen out of the— pod(?) with her... She picked it up, and dried it off on her shirtsleeve and the hem of her scrubs top, before opening the damned thing, to hopefully get some explanation behind this so-easily-escaped prison...

Okay, then... So... This was a mysterious city, with mysterious motives, and a mysterious past, and Present, and even the FUTURE ahead of it, was apparently just as Mysterious! She was already frustrated enough to ignore the triple-damned hologram that appeared before her, just before she exited the Bay; she walked right through the talking image, as soon as she had determined that it was a PowerPoint presentation, essentially, rather than a real person standing before her.

Well, at least these bizarre, Mysterious kidnappers were kind enough to leave her with enough money to get by for at least a few weeks, especially given how she'd already become (unfortunately) comfortable with "starvation wages" whilst serving the City and the People in general. She smiled softly, wondering what Henry and Malcolm were doing, waking up and discovering her gone, snatched from her very bedroom by some... Mysterious Power!

There was also a smartphone in the box, which she finally decided to risk turning on, without soaking all the water out in a bed of uncooked rice. She observes some interesting features upon the phone— some apps which she never would have downloaded to her own phone, back home, for example— before finally turning on the G-phone's equivalent of Apple's "Face Time" and smiling gamely into the camera.

"And hullo to you, my fellow prisoners!" she chirps out lightly, her voice rich and almost... hypnotic, even when she's not trying to be so enthralling. "So... Has anyone figured out what this God-damned kidnapping plot is all about, yet?"
