The birds had scattered off Drake before he even started moving, the Healer rushing forward to check on the driver. It was a man, his hands held claw-like on the steering wheel and his expression dazed. Amberdrake immediately started checking his vitals, and his spine, before unhooking the man's seatbelt and pulling him free of the car like he weighed nothing.
"I think he's having a stroke," Drake said, setting the man down so he sat against the nearest building. "Help keep him still."
The man was trying to struggle, confusion written plain on his face, but Drake didn't have time to reassure him properly. He got his hands on the stranger's head and his eyes went immediately out of focus again.
